What is the GRANDEST house you can buy under 500k (just for fun)

Occasionally I browse property all over the country and come upon a gem for under 500 that has 10 rooms and 12 foot ceilings and sweeping staircases in an unlikely place - mostly Victorian seaside resorts Grin

So what's good out there at the moment ?

just had a look on rightmove where we are currently only two houses for sale at 475k one detached 4 bed and one detached five bed prices must have gone up here a couple of years ago 300k would have bought a much more substantial property

This would be my input, it could be a great house and certainly looks beautiful from the outside. That said i am shocked at how little 500k gets you, even in the NE
