For years, (literally), whenever I've come across an interesting thread on house stuff, there you are, tagged and willingly giving free advice, looking at photos, sorting out issues.

I occasionally think as I am looking at my own house,
" I'm a bit concerned/puzzled about x," but then I tell myself
"oh well, even if x happens, I can always try tagging PigletJohn" hahah.

So my dad died ten years ago but Piglet John always reminds me of my dad with his advice so I have long thought of mumsnet as online spiritual world and PigletJohn as my dad sending messages. Okay that’s a bit weird and embarrassing to admit but yet Pigletjohn is epic.

Yes, he’s a bit like the Dad I never had. Ok that sounds odd, but we don’t have anyone in our family that’s good at practical stuff, I like reading the diy thread as had some major renovation work done to my house and always look for his reply to interesting threads.
