For years, (literally), whenever I've come across an interesting thread on house stuff, there you are, tagged and willingly giving free advice, looking at photos, sorting out issues.

I occasionally think as I am looking at my own house,
" I'm a bit concerned/puzzled about x," but then I tell myself
"oh well, even if x happens, I can always try tagging PigletJohn" hahah.

Yes PJ has helped me a few times? So clear and helpful with advice. When having DIY issues I often think "WHAT WOULD PIGLET JOHN DO??!" 😁😁

Also he’s hilarious,I remember years ago he said he works for the Scottish tourist board swimming up Loch Ness and it still makes me chuckle to myself.

His/her fame as a really decent chap/chapess has spread. A male teacher at my work, who’s doing up his house, spotted me on MN one lunchtime and said he was on here too, but mainly for PigletJohn.

Agreed - he's ace. Have taken his advice about what shower to buy, and the importance of a good extractor fan, and he was 100% right both times.

I hope @pigletjohn has read this thread and sees how valued they are.

Another saying thank you to @pigletjohn. Several plumbing/house issues been solved by their advice meaning I was either able to fix something myself - or knew who to ask to help.

Agreed Pigletjohn is a hero have used his advice numerous times - most memorably we salvaged our Miele fridge freezer that we thought was dead and saved ourselves a fortune ! It lasted another 5 years !
