£5m seems rather expensive and some of the decor is ok but overall it isn’t at all to my taste.

not my taste.

The Ham Common one is lovely and looks like an expensive family home. Amanda Holden's is very styled and doesn't look as if DC live there (they have two daughters, right?).

I very much doubt any of that is hers, I think it's probably been staged for the photos ( especially if she has a home wares line.)

Fantastic location though!

...middle of nowhere?! There's a high street - including a Sainsburys local - literally at the end of the road. 5 minutes walk maybe? How much closer can you want to be!!

OK but still that part of Ham feels middle of nowhere in terms of transport, shops, stuff.

If I was playing through the key hole I would not have guessed that Amanda Holden owned that house.

Not keen on the wall paper in the bar area. However lovely location and I like the garden

How do you know it's AH's house?

It isn't badly decorated though. It just isn't decorated to your taste.

I far prefer to see houses like this than a swathe of greige that sucks the joy out of you as soon as you see it.

I quite like it and suspect the photos aren't doing it justice. It probably feels a lot less busy in person m.

I suspect the ceilings feel fine in person too, it’s just the weird photography

I live in a 1930s house and the gap above my doorways is at least twice shown here. Doors tend to be a standard height (obviously not always I admit).

SoupDragon · 18/05/2022 13:18

At least twice that shown here
