Just a perfectly ordinary flat. Nothing to see here.

Nope. Nothing unusual at all.

Been up for sale for a year. Even with the fast paced property market the thing won’t shift

ThackeryBinks · 30/03/2022 10:01

I'm not buying it as the fridge is too far from the pool. If you can't swim up to the dishwasher it's a no from me!

PineappleWilson · 30/03/2022 10:04

They cut corners with the downstairs furniture to include the pool. That tatty sofa wouldn't get floor space in my house. Can you imagine the water bill?

SawnWood · 30/03/2022 10:05

Well holy crap! I just can’t get over the disconnect from the amount of money spent on the pool and the shitty bedrooms!

Agreed 🤣🤣
ImFree2doasiwant · 30/03/2022 10:08

The bedrooms have glass doors!

SawnWood · 30/03/2022 10:09

But I also vote brothel sadly with those beds.

theDudesmummy · 30/03/2022 10:11

Why would you not put away your toiletries/personal medications/dirty towel before showing your flat to the world?

Wheniruletheworld · 30/03/2022 10:14

You wouldn't want to live in that area

VerityPJohnson · 30/03/2022 10:15

Wouldn’t say this was Archway but I guess that’s the least of it.

Wellthisiscrapeh · 30/03/2022 10:17

Imagine the damp.

And the constant smell of chlorine.

MuchuseasaChocolateTeapot · 30/03/2022 10:17

@ClafoutisSurprise

This is the kind of thing I dream of. Not in the ‘I wish I had a place like that’ sense, but literally, in one of those weird dreams where you have a whole wing of your house that doesn’t exist in reality. It’s a very regular dream for me, and always involves ugly furniture left by a previous owner in a weird, musty part of the house that I’d forgotten I had.

I can just imagine dream me walking around the pool area thinking ‘oh, yeah, I should get round to doing something with this’. And then waking up and being gutted that I don’t have an overlooked floor of my house with a pool to make over.

OMG, this happens to me all the time! I keep finding rooms I didn’t know I had, always with a huge sunken tiled bath in the middle of a room, weird!
BruceAndNosh · 30/03/2022 10:19

Is the damp from the pool that has caused the furniture to rot in 2 years. or was the scrubbing with bleach 6 times a day...?

Just think how big the flat would be if you actually used the pool space for something normal.

CandidaAlbicans2 · 30/03/2022 10:20

Ugh at the Baby Oil on the side of the bath. That stuff reminds me of teen sex and seedy middle-aged men, and gives me the instant ick 🤢 Plus, if they use it in the bath it can cause an accident waiting to happen oil slick!

housemaus · 30/03/2022 10:20

@marihen1

There are many questions id love to ask the owners but.. why are they using the cooker extractor fan as a table?
I'm guilty of this - we have one 50cm wide stretch of useable worktop and just 3 cupboards in our kitchen for all our food, pans, and plates (once you take the one that has cleaning stuff in under the sink - nowhere else for this to go) - so light things like cereal etc live up there!

There are otherwise NO similarities to my house though... Grin

Charlize43 · 30/03/2022 10:21

Looking at the weights and thinking it's male. Used for gay pool parties perhaps? Is this what they call a bathhouse in the 70s?

sjxoxo · 30/03/2022 10:21

Deffo brothel that was my first thought!! Fucking bizarre. How they got planning i don’t know! Do you think the neighbours know there’s 10 tonnes of water in the flat next door.. 😂 hope the building structure is solid!! X

newbiename · 30/03/2022 10:24

Damp and mouldy 🤢

VickyEadieofThigh · 30/03/2022 10:25

Looking at the stuff on the side in the bathroom, the clothes in the wardrobe - I think this is a very male household. Which doesn't preclude having 'clients' round, of course...

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 30/03/2022 10:26

I have that weird extra rooms dream too! Even down to the shitty or mad furniture.

Knocking shop must be the answer.

Until you said that I was thinking, how weird they’ve spent all that on the pool but the furniture is so crappy!

Didn't see your post before I posted mine (above) about it being a very male household. I think we're on to something here!
ElvisPresleyHadABaby · 30/03/2022 10:27

100000% owned, decorated and lived in by a man.

doublemonkey · 30/03/2022 10:30
@ClafoutisSurprise I have dreams like that! I knock through a wall or find a hidden door, and marvel at all my new found living space.

Anyway, I spent far too long cross examining the photos and floor plans of this flat, and can concur you’d probably get pregnant if you swam in that pool.
Me too! and they seem so real I feel weird for ages afterward.

I also have a dream were I suddenly remember I have a flat which I've completely forgotten about and haven't been to for like 20 years.

I go back and realise it's way better than the place I live now and start cleaning and tidying...I never get to move back in though.

LaurieFairyCake · 30/03/2022 10:32

That is FANTASTIC

I'd LOVE IT (if you could stop the pool smell pervading the rest of it)

And how do you empty and fill the pool ???

VickyEadieofThigh · 30/03/2022 10:32

@SirYawnsAlot

Could they not have taken the chairs off the wall and set them up and bought a couple of pot plants? Although small potatoes compared to the rest of crazy that's going on.
If they gave keys to the estate agent to go round and take photos, it might explain how badly 'dressed' the house is.

We sold a house and did this - they said they were going round on a specific day so we ensured the house was immaculate and then carried on as normal thereafter. When they put the photos online, we saw they'd left the clothes airer full of washing in the photo of the conservatory (it would've taken the agent five seconds to move it out of the way...) that we'd put there a couple of days later...
