Just a perfectly ordinary flat. Nothing to see here.

Nope. Nothing unusual at all.

Kermit the frog has hit hard times!
What's with photo 11... a distraction maybe?!

ScreamingSauvignon · 30/03/2022 05:50

Ah, there is a video too! It is a most peculiar feast for the eyes that's for sure.

A small aside though, they couldn't have straightened up the bath towel !!

@ClafoutisSurprise

This is the kind of thing I dream of. Not in the ‘I wish I had a place like that’ sense, but literally, in one of those weird dreams where you have a whole wing of your house that doesn’t exist in reality. It’s a very regular dream for me, and always involves ugly furniture left by a previous owner in a weird, musty part of the house that I’d forgotten I had.

I can just imagine dream me walking around the pool area thinking ‘oh, yeah, I should get round to doing something with this’. And then waking up and being gutted that I don’t have an overlooked floor of my house with a pool to make over.

I have this dream all the time! It usually involves a horrible tight staircase that I get stuck on...

Could they not have taken the chairs off the wall and set them up and bought a couple of pot plants? Although small potatoes compared to the rest of crazy that's going on.

crummyusername · 30/03/2022 06:43

@ClafoutisSurprise @NancyDrooo I have that exact same dream. Like I open i door I’d not noticed and find a load of new rooms. Thought it was just me!

SpinningTheSeedsOfLove · 30/03/2022 06:50

I have the 'unexpected west wing' dream too. Last night there was a disco in the basement. Funky times.

Yes! I was strangely invested in the lack of effort there for some weird reason🤣🤣
gunnersgold · 30/03/2022 07:00

How weird , it's not big enough to swim in ! 🤔

soffritoes · 30/03/2022 07:05

Reminded me a bit of this email thread:

Totally different part of Hornsey Road. That’s opposite Emirates and the swimming pool flat is more Archway. It gets bleaker and bleaker the further along Hornsey Road you go!

@TheDoveFromAboveCooCoo

I have so many questions!

Think this covers it, where do you even start?

Riverlee · 30/03/2022 07:32

How on earth did you find this gem?

stepmad · 30/03/2022 07:40

Rubbish photgraphs for selling clutter could be hidden the bed made better it all comes across as a lot of expensive work.
On the bright side those chorline fumes would be so lovely day in and day out could drain it and use it as an indoor skate park

SoupDragon · 30/03/2022 08:03

What sort of lives do you lead to get "brothel" from this? 😂

InvisibleDragon · 30/03/2022 08:04

That is grim.

I wonder if, rather than a brothel, the pool/gym area was being used as a photo studio for influencers?

Do multiple different location / workout shoots in one day and release them over the next few weeks?

Sceptre86 · 30/03/2022 08:05

A brothel?

SoupDragon · 30/03/2022 08:05

As an aside, showers with a small handheld shower head aren't at all weird. Lots of showers have them.

lapasion · 30/03/2022 08:09

This is so weird. It’s the second time I’ve seen a Rightmove house with a random pool. There was one going around the other day that was an ordinary 3 bed semi that had a pretty sizeable pool in the living room. And like this one it had weird rooms and grubby furniture. Is there some interior design trend I’m missing?

RealHousewifeOfEastLondon · 30/03/2022 08:12

This is so strange! The pool and fixtures have not even been done well! So the grimness of the flat is added to by the dodgy building work. Gives me anxiety thinking about damp and the amount of repairs that would probably need doing! Let alone thinking about what it's been used for or who has been in there!!!

AngelinaFibres · 30/03/2022 08:24

@Gardeningcreature

My eyes! What the hell is going on there? A swimming pool amongst what can only be described as a shithole.
I was going to write exactly these words... but here they are. I honestly think that is the most revolting flat I have ever seen.
RodiganReed · 30/03/2022 08:26

What sort of lives do you lead to get "brothel" from this? 😂

I worked for an anti-trafficking NGO and have sadly been to a couple of brothels, this definitely has that seedy, low rent, death trap vibe but on balance I'd probably say its a gay sauna.

I imagine the person who owns this place is a small time organised crime type who lets it out on a sessional basis for any old dodgy reason, but gay sauna would be my guess in terms of its primary use.

It's really nice that some of you think brothels have luxurious rooms, never change! Grin

NETSRIK · 30/03/2022 08:31

It's for the cheap remake of The Stud. They've nailed the swimming pool scene.

ZeppelinTits · 30/03/2022 08:34

Glad it wasn't just me thinking 'well that looks like a brothel' Grin

DrSbaitso · 30/03/2022 08:36

Do you need planning permission to install a pool like that?

Somanysocks · 30/03/2022 08:37

I'm getting Keith Lemon vibes
