Moving to a new house but vendor won’t tell me where kitchen from

Hi I’m moving to a new house and plan to do an extension but the vendor won’t tell me where the kitchen is we from so that I can add extra units and had for quite nasty after me asking… am I being unreasonable?

They look painted to me, have you looked inside? Maybe they are a bit snippy because they’re done poorly and hope you haven’t noticed.
Or maybe they just don’t know or can’t remember.
Also some people can be over sensitive when they hear you’re going to change things in ‘their’ home.

Could it be from Symphony? They do a lot of Shaker style units. I'm getting one fitted soon. It's hard to judge the colour from a match on a screen though.

I think Wren do similar ones too.

You might also find a label inside one of the units or a drawer when you've moved in.

I don’t know where my kitchen is from. I wouldn’t guess because if I got it wrong no doubt somebody would try to sue me for the cost of unmatching cupboards.

It’s definitely IKEA we put the same one in in our last house.

Well as pp's think it could be 5 different kitchens you shouldn't have any trouble matching some new units.

We have never replaced a kitchen so wouldn't know where it came from. They might just not have replaced it or might have had a local kitchen fitter who sourced the units. Or might have forgotten. I doubt they are doing it to wind you up.

IKEA cupboards are easy to identify. They go flush to the wall. No service gap.

Very strange behaviour. If they don't know why wouldn't they just explain that. I assume they think they look posher than they actually are and don't want to be found out.
