In the right house….with the right decoration. ?

Just seen a house with one on a thread here and though…you know…that doesn’t look that bad.

I have a sage green one. I rent so I'm stuck with it but to be honest I quite like it now.

inmyslippers · 24/06/2021 20:14

I would love a pink one

BarkingUpTheWrongRoseBush · 24/06/2021 20:14

And I’m old enough to remember them first time round…

Yes. You are!

flightofthecrow · 24/06/2021 20:16

I would like a pale blue one!

TheSunShinesBrighter · 24/06/2021 20:16

@inmyslippers

I would love a pink one
My auntie has an ancient pink bathroom suite - solid baby pink not that awful pink fading into brown. It’s gorgeous and in beautiful condition.

In the 90s I bought a house which had a pink ensuite, an avocado bathroom and a grey cloakroom. I loved it. Plain white is really very boring.

Beamur · 24/06/2021 20:17

I think you are ahead of the curve

GidgetGirl · 24/06/2021 20:18

I fitted a bright yellow one in my last place and it was beeaauutiful. Brokenbog.com is the place to go!

SuperSecretSquirrels · 24/06/2021 20:19

I think they are wonderful!

I remember seeing one where each item was a different colour. Looked great.

I don't like the enamel to be coloured (just never feels clean) but we have a coloured wooden bath panel and a coloured vanity unit and I love that.

loveisagirlnameddaisy · 24/06/2021 20:19

Sorry, not enamel, I meant porcelain

FredAstairesChair · 24/06/2021 20:20

I love them. Mine is pink from the previous owner!

I agree OP. I love this one in Faringdon House.

If you don't intend to move for 10+ years, do it!

ASimpleLobsterHat · 24/06/2021 20:21

I quite like them too. They’ll come back into fashion sooner or later anyway.

AtillatheHun · 24/06/2021 20:21

I love them in the right context - glorious giant Art Deco coloured suites. Would love one. The fruity metcalfe suite at burgh island got me started!

Roonerspismed · 24/06/2021 20:23

They are due a comeback!

mysterymile · 24/06/2021 20:28

I love them

Time40 · 24/06/2021 20:32

I love them, and I'm sure they'll be in fashion again very soon. They're due for a comeback.

AnnieSnap · 24/06/2021 20:36

I remember it all first time around, so I’m wary about having anything but white. I used to have a Damask bathroom suite 😮 This was not mine, but it gives you an idea 🥴

Mwnci123 · 24/06/2021 20:41

I was going to say yes, then I read this thread and now I want a pink toilet and basin.

BeetyAxe · 24/06/2021 20:46

Lol I thought the same thing when I saw that other thread-bathrooms now are so boring. I would love a pink suite.

MaMelon · 24/06/2021 20:50

No no no. I remember the horrors from my youth - primrose yellow, blue, bright pink, brown, avocado, burgundy.,.all awful . White is clean, bright and neutral - stick your colour on the wall and paint over it when you’re bored of it for around £50.

mysterymile · 24/06/2021 20:51

Imagine a dark navy suite against white tiling, why isn't this a thing
