Is this the cheapest area in the uk to buy a 3 bed detached? Just can't believe how much house you get for your money!

About £700k in my area but it wouldn't have a view like that; I'm in an urban area so it would be crammed into a street with other houses all around. With that view, on the outskirts of town, maybe £900k.

Hairbrush123 · 22/06/2021 00:09

Wow! What a bargain. I have no idea what it’s like there but it looks pretty remote.

In my neck of the woods - anywhere between £350k to £900k. I live in Solihull.

hellywelly3 · 22/06/2021 00:12

About 250-300 near York

catfeets · 22/06/2021 00:13

Wow! Assumed it would be a shithole but it's lovely!
I live in a crappy part of Yorkshire and it would be at least £250k I reckon.

INeedNewShoes · 22/06/2021 00:17

That picturesque stream running along the bottom of the garden might be an issue. Otherwise it looks very appealing!

Andthenanothercupoftea · 22/06/2021 06:44

In Oxfordshire - depends exactly where round here: in a not well served village - £275-350k, in a well served village - £325-375k, in town - £250-£300k, in a well served, picturesque village £400k+

DanglingMod · 22/06/2021 06:49

I live in a part of the country often quoted as "cheap" on here. It's not really.

That house plus garden would be £280-400k depending on which village/school catchment around here.

Ivy48 · 22/06/2021 06:52

Very similar price in S Wales valleys. I’m in a 3 bed but terraced, £80k

vickyq1983 · 22/06/2021 06:56

650 ish I reckon. That's in the coastal town of Sandgate, Kent

StayCalmX · 22/06/2021 07:00

So is it depressingly poor and remote in Patna?

Eloisedublin123 · 22/06/2021 07:01

Dublin. €700k

SimonJT · 22/06/2021 07:02

About £2.6m in the area of London where I live.

prettyvisitor · 22/06/2021 07:03

About £270k, Worcestershire

BikeRunSki · 22/06/2021 07:03

£275-£300kish, this week, but house prices are galloping upwards almost daily here. S/W Yorkshire.

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 22/06/2021 07:03

There's a reason for that. It's in Patna 🤣

SpiderinaWingMirror · 22/06/2021 07:07

You may be surprised to find how little money you get for your days work as well in such a place.

MrsPworkingmummy · 22/06/2021 07:07

About £300,000 to £400,000 in Sunderland and it wouldn't have those views. I used to live Whitley Bay in North Tyneside. Something like that would sell for around £400,000 if not more there, again without the views.

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 22/06/2021 07:11

We live about 40 mins away and that house would probably cost around 170k.

MakkaPakkas · 22/06/2021 07:12

Hard to say because of the views, which would be difficult to achieve in London, but upwards of £1.4 million if say it was looking over Richmond park or Hampstead heath

Eeyoresstickhouse · 22/06/2021 07:12

450-600k depending on location. South Coast.

Arrierttyclock · 22/06/2021 07:13

I think around 550/600K Bristol area not central. The views are amazing!

Bluntness100 · 22/06/2021 07:13

About 700 I think, I’m in West Sussex but commuter belt to London.

readytosell · 22/06/2021 07:14

Midlands. Similar size house near me sold last week, just seen it was on for 250K.

PurplePansy05 · 22/06/2021 07:14

450-500k, I'd say closer to 500k, easily.

Bimblybomeyelash · 22/06/2021 07:18

550k.
