Is this the cheapest area in the uk to buy a 3 bed detached? Just can't believe how much house you get for your money!

I'm also in Wales and a similar house nearby went for £180k last year.

Prices are picking up here but are still low compared to even 20 miles away.

MyNameForToday1980 · 21/06/2021 23:20

3 bed detached, SW London, probably £1.2 to 1.4m.

OverByYer · 21/06/2021 23:20

About £300k in S Wales, that view is amazing

DentonsFringeArnottsWaistcoat · 21/06/2021 23:22

Just checked for as similar as I can find on rightmove, and depending on decorative state, anywhere between about GBP600k and GBP800k. South East.

LilaThePink · 21/06/2021 23:23

£350-400k Cotswolds.

But what are the schools like Wink

Titsywoo · 21/06/2021 23:23

I can't quite work out how big the garden is but I'd say around £550k - I'm in Surrey and within the M25.

@Cheeseandbiscuits1

As an aside, it's strange how the log burner flu goes through the ceiling into the upstairs bedroom. Lovely views though, looks very peaceful.
It utilises the heat going up, heating up the bedrooms at the same time. My mum and dad had a similar setup in an old house.
LemonRoses · 21/06/2021 23:26

No houses for sale like that near here. The only ones that are even remotely similar are tied farm cottages.

raeroe · 21/06/2021 23:31

This is so weird I was literally just looking at that house. Can you work out what is at the end of the neighbours back garden? Is it like a viewing platform? The roof of a container?? I have dreams of moving to ayr but that's too far out for me

GlamGiraffe · 21/06/2021 23:31

About £1m - £1.2min my bit if of london I'd guess

Cheeseandbiscuits1 · 21/06/2021 23:36

Ah @stickygotstuck I didn't even think of that. Suppose it would cut down on the heating bills.

I'd love to move to Prestwick, or Ayr. Even that house in those areas would be out my price range unfortunately.

I’m in the Chiltern hills, in a village. I would guess £750k? Possibly more the way the housing market probably is…

Wineat5isfine · 21/06/2021 23:41

Sorry the above message should have said “currently is” not “probably”

RoseMartha · 21/06/2021 23:42

£350-380k

Cheeseandbiscuits1 · 21/06/2021 23:42

@grandmashotdoodlebugs

I could get a loan against my house and buy that ! (off to look up how long it would take to get there)

£550k where I live....

That's always an idea, I've worked with a few landlords who have bought up cheap properties in Scotland, rent them out and manage them from down south without ever seeing the property or meeting the tenants.

I love the older houses in ayr, there was one a few months ago and it was stunning inside, 5 min walk to beach and an amazing price BUT it was on the main road and traffic would be horrendous there. I'll hold out for my lottery win😂

yepitsmey · 21/06/2021 23:45

600-700k Essex

AgentProvocateur · 21/06/2021 23:45

200k, outskirts of Glasgow.

Just under £200k in my street, but less just up the road (less desirable postcode, south Glasgow.

thefirstmrsrochester · 21/06/2021 23:58

300-400K. The view from the decking is amazing. A 3 bed house for 110k is incredible value for money.

Albless · 21/06/2021 23:59

My friend at primary school used to spend the summer holidays at her auntie’s in Patna. I used to imagine it as some exotic place of happiness and joy. I was so wrong!

Anoisagusaris · 22/06/2021 00:06

Apart from the views it looks like a pretty regular estate house - why is it called a villa in the description?

HairyFloppins · 22/06/2021 00:07

About 200k Stoke. Just bought something similar.
