Had to check the floor plan to see if that was actually the hob they put flowers and shit on in the kitchen. Yes. Why???
Where's the extractor fan?
Why do we need an arty shot of 3 spotlight hares?
Why are there urns on the dining room and kitchen tables? Weird. No doubt full of the ashes of many dead greyhounds (or similar breed represented by all the ornaments and stuffed dog head next to the fireplace)

Accentor · 11/04/2021 21:19

That décor is heinous.

worriedatthemoment · 11/04/2021 21:20

Nice house too much ornaments etc for me though

worriedatthemoment · 11/04/2021 21:23

I still like grey as you can put any colour with it

ceilingsand · 11/04/2021 21:28

There's plenty of space, a garage and a decent garden. Nobody should turn down a house because they don't like the owner's ornaments or curtains! And anyway it's mainly one colour. It's a good choice. I didn't consider the wider environment, although I would.

KickAssAngel · 11/04/2021 21:31

I think the house without the ornaments would be great as it would be easy to add color. However, they had better full in holes from everything they hung on the walls and paint over the filler.

As an aside, what is it with chairs with great big rings/hooks on the back? They've suddenly appeared in trendy designer homes and I don't get it. Why do you have a ring on the back of the chair? There no way you could use it to move the chair and it is ugly AF.

WildfirePonie · 11/04/2021 21:33

Wait.. is that bird real? Living in that tiny cage?!

Mumof3girlsandaboy · 11/04/2021 21:38

I love the house

BustPipes · 11/04/2021 21:40

A 2,807 square foot Live! Laugh! Love! sign.

Someone will like it, I'm sure.

ArtemisiaGentle · 11/04/2021 21:44

I'd get a skip and chuck all the tat into it. I like colour, so I'd start repainting within days. But the architectural details are lovely.

MiniTheMinx · 11/04/2021 21:48

Nice house, full of cheap toot though.

It looks like the owner gave a decorator a small budget and sent them to The Range. Its so naff as to be almost ironic.

Nettleskeins · 11/04/2021 21:52

It is tooo expensive for what it is.
Look Around Look Around..

That is heaven! I could see myself sitting in the terrace in a wide brimmed hat after a busy day gardening, cold g&t in hand. Arts and Crafts architecture is so beautiful.

MrsPsmalls · 11/04/2021 22:08

It looks like no man, no teenager, in fact no non bleached person has ever set foot in it.

DarkMatterA2Z · 11/04/2021 22:27

It lacks personality. It has been "finished" to death. No doubt the owners are expecting a purchase price commensurate with the finish. That by itself would put me off since our family are capable of destroying "finish" in a house within 5 minutes. Dents in the wall from knocking furniture, grubby hand marks on the paintwork and I shudder to think what we'd do to all that velvety/chenille stuff... There is a reason we have battered leather and hardwearing cotton here.

Also the pond would give me nightmares. I don't want to be morbid but I would go to sleep imagining having to drag it if my DC ever went missing. I don't imagine the present owners have young children or grandchildren.

mummabubs · 11/04/2021 22:40

So, it's also bang on a main road. And having located the recycling centre others have clocked (which would likely be a deal breaker for me)... Are we not more concerned with the building next to it!? 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

Wriggleout · 11/04/2021 22:45

There would be loads of holes in the walls when they've taken all the pictures and mirrors so you'd have to redecorate the whole thing anyway

Tartyflette · 11/04/2021 22:46

And what's with all the fugly dog statues??

RosesAndHellebores · 11/04/2021 22:49

Over decorated and over priced for what is essentially rather a small house situated far too far from a railway station to be at all useful.

Lavanderrose · 11/04/2021 23:10

That’s a stunning property

Berriescherries · 11/04/2021 23:13

According to Zoopla it was last sold in 2020 for £940k, so that’s £300k worth of greige tat.

cerealgamechanger · 11/04/2021 23:15

So. Much. Clutter. Imagine making good those wall before you leave- nightmare. Outside is lovely.

blacksax · 11/04/2021 23:17

@BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz

It's a shame that they've put so much time and effort into staging it yet the lid off the candle on the hearth is wonky. Stands out like a sort thumb.

Decor not to my taste at all - is that a selection of urns on the dining table?!

And beside the candle, that whippet statue looks like it's doing a furtive poo.
merrymelody · 11/04/2021 23:20

I love it! May I move in with you?Grin
