Considering to buy a house similar to the below. Potentially maxing our budget. What are ppl thoughts. It's all very new (too new?) worried it will be difficult to sell if we do decide to move...what would you do? Buy old and do up or go fir something all new and ready to live in...

Same as other people have said is there any lawned area? The garden really let's it down if not.
Personally I would have thought it would be a family buying a 5 bedroom house, but where would the kids have their swing or garden toys?
And for me there are far too many ensuites. But maybe fine if you have a good cleaner.

Absolutely love it! The only part I’m a bit meh about is the dining room, but that could be changed

Skyliner001 · 25/04/2021 13:41

It looks like a community centre.

quizqueen · 25/04/2021 13:46

I wouldn't give it a second look, the exterior so ugly. Surely, with your budget, you can get something really attractive on the outside as well as inside.

RisingSunn · 25/04/2021 13:49

I don’t think it’s worth the money. I would expect much more green space.

ClarasZoo · 25/04/2021 13:50

Imagine telling your 2 year old to go and play in the garden. Also what if you have a dog? The resale is to too limited a category of person.

Wishingwell75 · 25/04/2021 15:51

Awww please let me see this house you speak of - a fresh link I beg of you? Don't know why I'm taking like that, it's just that this been going on since last year and I wanna see it!.... please? Hello?

Echobelly · 25/04/2021 15:58

I quite like it and the rooms look spacious - design is a bit cold and mid-market-interior designer, and it's not really a garden made for fun, but it could make a nice home.

Oblomov21 · 25/04/2021 16:01

I'm not keen. It's quite an unusual style. Not keen on garden. Re-sale value and ease?

DoubleTweenQueen · 25/04/2021 16:12

This style is going up all over Cambridge too

@Lampzade

What on earth made you dig up this four month old thread?!

Although I see it's now under offer, @Stayingin2020, did you decide to go for it?! Grin

Cowbells · 25/04/2021 16:17

I love the exterior. But inside lots of the rooms are as narrow as corridors. There's no garden. The decor is already very out of date - no one is putting in grey deep pile carpets now. And the price Shock. For that price you could get a jewel of a house with a decent garden in the same area. No way would I pay that for it.

I found it why scrolling through the property thread and commented on it .
I am very familiar with Sevenoaks and have seen more beautiful homes .

oldshoeuk · 25/04/2021 17:14

The garden is low maint, it's great if you're big on entertaining but not looking for work.

You get 6 toilets that someone is going to have to clean.

A lot of light coming in with those big windows

Big hallway, a lot of open space.

Lots of 'in house' storage, but no attic/shed/basement

Musmerian · 25/04/2021 17:27

It looks like a conference centre.
