It has happened.. that moment finally came... we have exchanged! I may have burst my solicitors ear drum

Well at least we know it won't be this week.

That once piece of paperwork they were waiting for last week, has now turned into two outstanding enquiries.

Fucking fucking fuck. I'm sick of this. And I hate the lying prick of our vendor and his vendor and their solicitors.

If you use purple bricks you should be shot at dawn.

@JustFrustrated I share your frustration. It is such a long, drawn out convoluted process. We were hoping to be in at the beginning of this month.

Hi all, just put our house on the market so would be good to join in your chat. It's been online since late Friday night and the Zoopla page has had over 600 views - that seems like a lot compared to other houses put on at similar times in the same price/location bracket. We haven't had any viewings booked yet, however, is that normal?

After a lot of chasing our vendor has supposedly now sent the forms back to the solicitor. It was meant to be across with us yesterday, but no confirmation from our solicitor yet. It's like pulling teeth!

I have had enough of my buyers. they so desperate for the flat and yet 12 weeks after offer and 4 weeks after i reaccepted their offer after i remarketed it cos they hadn't started on the legal stuff and they STILL haven't started on the legal stuff.

I am so annoyed and pissed off. Honestly if i thought i'd get anywhere near with an offer then i would have put it back on the market on Friday.

@Mrsjamin I assumed that the first few hundred clicks on our house once online would be nosy neighbours. However, you should have had a few enquiries by now and even viewings unless yours is very quirky and would need a particular for it.

We’ve negotiated a drop in price, they’ve got new queries and we still don’t have a new exchange date.

I’m just tired of it now!!!

@AmandaHugenkiss - Atleast you don't have to start from scratch I guess... a positive twist to a horrid story!

@Notyetthere we've had enquiries but no bookings for viewings yet. I hope the estate agents are not letting people wait too long for a response!

@mrsjamin maybe your EA us waiting for enough people to do a block viewing?

Phew, we've accepted an offer that is still well below asking but enough to get us the deposit we need for (hopefully) a decent next step up. Of course there is nothing on the market right now so got to hope our buyer is patient! And then I will be in the same sorry position as all of you lot.

Make me feel better please. First feedback from viewing at the weekend in which they were definitely coming back for a second viewing (they didn't) - upstairs doesn't work for them (3 double bedrooms, all fitted wardrobes with master having en-suite and dressing area + separate bathroom, all freshly decorated) and would cost too much money to put right so it's over valued in their opinion.

Hard not to take it personally as we love the house still but moving for a special property. Is this something I need to get use to and how do you deal with it?

@Autumnchill we were exactly the same. Our property is an expensive but large semi detached. We had similar feedback about it - small lounge, expensive etc

Thank you @Baxdream. Everyone that has seen it says it's stunning etc so not sure why we've not had any more enquiries and just the one viewing with crap feedback. One down the road smaller than ours sold within a week for £10k less.

Maybe I'm expecting too much too soon. How long did it take to sell yours?

We’ve exchanged been on tenterhooks since I was told we were ready to exchange “imminently” (yeah right!) on Friday lunchtime...for a while this afternoon it looked like it wouldn’t happen...but it has! Completing on Friday. The relief is immense and I’m finally starting to let myself get properly excited.

@AmandaHugenkiss I can’t believe your buyer! What an utter wanker. Hope he’s fucking ashamed of himself. At least you’ve reached a resolution, though I’d be furious despite that if I were you. So frustrating that these dickheads end up getting their own way!

@Bells3032 sorry if I’ve missed it - what’s stopping you putting it back on the market anyway?! I wouldn’t want to have anything else to do with them if I were you, they sound totally useless at best and mega time wasters at worst.

Welcome to newbies - hope you don’t see too many threads fingers crossed for quick sales and straightforward processes for you all!

God this whole thing, from start to finish, is horrible. The last few days have been immensely stressful. I feel exhausted from the adrenaline come down but now have lots to do to be move ready in 2 days so need to find some energy for somewhere! I’m already looking forward to a very large, very stiff drink on Friday evening 😁

Aww @Autumnchill I hate getting feedback on ours. At the minute we have 2 parties who want to offer but haven't sold theirs (so frustrating ) and one FTB who loved it but has now realised she can't afford it not really had anything helpful from the other viewings. Thoroughly fed up with this endless merry go round now.
