Which property would you go for?

We are interested in these 2 properties:

A) www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-71533635.html

B) www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-77560441.html

Which would you go for? Property B is in a slightly better location but there isn’t a lot in it. It’s for 2 adults, l want a dressing room and himself wants a man cave (to include his DJ stuff, photography stuff etc). I have a preference and my partners is the other!

A.
more because I just thought I would have to repaint the kitchen in property B

Who thought pink was a good colour to paint a kitchen,

Definitely A

Gut says A. B could be good, but it's utterly soulless and would take a lot of work to de-developer it and it would stick in my throat that I'd had to pay for that finish.

Beedell Avenue. I prefer the road and there's parking. It's an area I would be looking to buy in too, as the property stock is definitely improving.

ChewChewIsMySpiritAnimal · 07/07/2020 07:39

I don't like either. Both have bad gardens, don't like living room/kitchens and b has no character whatsoever. A looks really small.

SnakesOrLadders · 07/07/2020 07:44

A by a million miles

pinkprosseco · 07/07/2020 07:47

B. It appears soulless now but that's easily sorted when you move in, decorate a bit and have all your belongings in place. Two bathrooms and the flexibility of bedrooms upstairs and down is a selling point for me.

TornadoOfSouls · 07/07/2020 07:54

B has been over-‘improved’ internally to justify the price. Is it really worth £25k more? A seems to be in pretty good nick too.

sunshinesupermum · 07/07/2020 10:09

A looks better even though it is more expensive. Much nicer looking house and nicely presented. Man cave in loft and room for a dressing room too. No brainer to me! The bungalow looks so cold but if you prefer a very contemporary style ...

WhatKatyDidNxt · 07/07/2020 11:56

@gardenbridge yes, it feels like it’s on the up doesn’t it

I’d go B for the reason it isn’t a terraced. The kitchen and bathroom are nicer whereas the other house they’d need doing. It is grey overkill but easily changed. And a garage even for storage is a massive plus.
A has lovely character features but you could add some character to B by putting in a modern stove and the garden could be lovely. Also if no kids in the horizon I agree an area full of kids will be hard.

Are you in a desperate rush? I don’t necessarily think you need to have ‘the feeling’ to buy a house, although I’m quite heart led initially. But unless either of you are 100% set on one, it’s a lot of money to spend to be so so about it.

gardenbridge · 07/07/2020 13:22

Yes, I think it's where I would be looking. Also many roads are blighted by being directly on the flight path from the airport. If I were looking at properties I would time it with take offs and arrivals from the airport and stand outside to make sure.
