Both good for schools and work so that’s not an issue. I just love both!! 😭

I know no2 is a lot more but I just want opinions o the houses, layouts, gardens etc??

Dh says no1 (because he is thinking of ££) our max budget was 580 so both are under in a sense

LOVE the first one, it has more character. But I guess you have to have the same taste. The other one is more of a blank canvas.

I would pick No 2. Seems pretty spacious to me, nice wide hall, big windows, lovely views/gardens. The outside look of the house is much nicer in my opinion.

Can I pick house 1 in house 2's garden?

House 1 has much more space and looks warm and welcoming. The grounds for house 2 are amazing, the house not quite so nice but the main thing that would put me off is that it is a grade 2 listed building. I speak as someone who waited 2 years for English Heritage to agree the correct colour of mortar for essential structural repairs to be done... But, if you really love it, the inconvenience is a small price to pay. The maintenance bills might not be such a small price though

House 1! Both are beautiful but House 1 has so much character. Also agree with PP regarding Grade 2 listed..

Don't forget your budget too - if house 1 is massively under budget just think of how much you could do to make it even more amazing!

House 1 us just too fancy and frilly for me.
Just a matter of taste though.

I don't fancy the views out of the rear windows of House 2 (unsurprisingly there's only the stair window I think).

House 1 outlook/immediate area much nicer. I don't think it has been modernized as recently as House 2 but the act that H2 has no back garden is attached to a row of other houses is a shame, especially as it means there is no light to the rear at all.

Look at them both its so hard to judge based on the listings alone.

OK I've just streetviewed the houses behind house 2. It looks like they've have sold off the garden and outbuildings for development. One of the windows facing backwards is a blocked off door.
Definitely House 1 for me.
