I think it is an interesting house but the photo of the lilac throw irritates me a bit, think the photographer was useless in not straightening it after walking past before taking photo

I have seen it from outside/HW side as our friends live there too. They used to see him out and about walking his dogs. He was very friendly with smile and hello SmileSmileSmileSmile

Thought you guys might like a look SmileSmileSmile

Gawd - what a dump!

Not really, but it looks very much as though he'd moved out. Can you imagine keeping it that clean and tidy?

ElspethFlashman · 06/08/2018 17:15

Was that a weekend home?? It's huge if it was!

Petalflowers · 06/08/2018 17:16

It has its own private beach!

When you say your friends live there, do,you mean with GN?

Lovely house.

I agree, it does look like GN has moved out as there are no homily features, photographs etc. It looks very much in showhome condition. Maybe to stop, people, gawking as GN house and belongings...

SoleBizzz · 06/08/2018 17:20

Wow I love it. Private beach Grin

Neolara · 06/08/2018 17:24

I want that house.....

Blostma · 06/08/2018 17:24

I love it. If I owned that I don’t think I could ever sell.

ElspethFlashman · 06/08/2018 17:28

This is his place in Ireland. Niiiiiiice.

No sorry I meant I have seen it from Herbrand Walk side. SmileSmile

My friends live in the village, in the much cheaper houses, without a sea view! GrinGrin

The beach is pebbles and rock pools apart from at very low tide when there is sand

When it says trains to London and Gatwick from Cooden -- yes when they are running, hope the new owner doesn't want to commute by train, cos they will probably be late for work Hmm

Gorgeous!

See what you mean about the throw, though.

I was itching to tidy it up.

YaLoVeras · 06/08/2018 17:32

It's lovely and it's a real blank canvas. So where is his normal main house?

Racecardriver · 06/08/2018 17:32

That must be amongst the ugliest houses I have ever seen in that price range. It looks like something straight out of 2005.

MrsJayy · 06/08/2018 17:35

Only 1 bathrooom though it wouldn't do me 😀 I just can't stop looking at it totally beautiful no wonder GN is always chuckiling he has done very well for himself.

MeMeMeow85 · 06/08/2018 17:35

Looks fabulous!

MrsJayy · 06/08/2018 17:36

He loves a private beach I think I prefer his Irish house

MaiaRindell · 06/08/2018 17:38

I expected more personality or style. The view is lovely and there's lots of potential, but the decor is bland.

rainbowstardrops · 06/08/2018 17:39

I've often driven past those houses. Bloody lovely right on the beach

SubtitlesOn · 06/08/2018 17:40

It has been on the market for quite a while, can't remember exactly when it was first put up for sale but think it was last Summer/Autumn.

It was definitely before Christmas cos we went for a walk along Herbrand Walk when we went to stay to swap Christmas pressies

It's lovely - imagine waking up with the sea in view, gorgeous.
Good for him - I think he's a nice guy and he's done pretty well for himself without becoming a complete tosser in the process.
If he's looking for somewhere new, there's some nice places in Suffolk Graham - lovely countryside to walk your dogs. Grin

Andtheresaw · 06/08/2018 17:41

I think it's a beautiful house and perfect if you want to be right next tot he sea. There's no cover to that pool though and they have had to photoshop it blue in all the pictures....except they missed one and it is revealed in its leaf-filled greyness.

YaLoVeras · 06/08/2018 17:41

Is his Irish house in Cork? I doubt he makes full use of it.
I think he might have taken all the personal touches out of that house and let the agents ''style'' it. It was very blank

BigSandyBalls2015 · 06/08/2018 17:43

Beautiful and I'm thrilled to bits at his blue tiles in the bathroom ..... exactly the same as ours. I love them but DH keeps going on about changing them as he thinks they're really dated - the bathroom was done about 15 years ago to be fair. But they've obv made a comeback!! I think it makes a change from the boring brown trend.

I'm showing DH this!

Loonoon · 06/08/2018 17:44

It has 4 and a half baths I think MrsJay and another one in the studio. It’s lovely and light, but not my style.

glasserator · 06/08/2018 17:45

Oh yes!!! The pool actually looks rather grim!

nonetcurtains · 06/08/2018 17:47

we had that spotty duvet cover!

MinaPaws · 06/08/2018 17:47

Sandy I love those tiles. They're what I want in our bathroom. I don't like travertine and all those beige bathrooms either. They're dated. the mosaic tiles aren't.

I used to live near GN when he lived in east London. We used to run next to each other on running machines at the gym. (well at least three times Grin) He was always really sweet and friendly. Not in the least up himself. he's one of those people you feel glad became famous and wealthy as it seems to have changed him less than it c hanges most people.
