I'm getting serious house envy!

I house that we viewed over two years ago, has just come back onto the market. All done up. And it looks amazing!!! Made me wish we'd bought it instead of our house. It is really that great or does anyone fancy ripping into it to tell me all things wrong with it?

It's a beautiful house and whilst they have painted it all grey, they have failed to remove the death-trap moss from all that wonky block paving!

Is it really worth £400k more now?

I don’t care for those panelled ceilings and the exterior being pebble-dashed. Ugh!!

Who wants to clean for bathrooms?! Clearly it’s the burden of being able to afford seven bedrooms, and there’s probably a cleaner... but shush.

It's bloody stunning!

The wallpaper in the bathroom made me blink very hard.

It's not very attractive at the rear and that awning thing looks a bit like a shop front.

It's not very symmetrical at the front either - two bays on one side and one on the other look a bit odd.

Think what a bugger it would be to clean as well though I imagine a cleaner would be an option with a seven figure budget

I can see why you like it, actually - think of it as the one that got away. We have one of those but the house we bought, although it seemed like a compromise in some ways, has actually turned out to be much better for us. Do you like the house you're in?

I know... The did the house but the garden is still small and not the same spec as the interior... Re the 400k - they would have spent crazy shedloads on the refurb...

I do like the house we're in and we got it because it has a bigger garden and had scope for a great garden room + bigger footprint. This one just looks so stylish! And ours is still not 100% finished.

The bathroom made me jump 😂 personally the chandeliers everywhere look odd I would need to replace those and some of it doesn't look as high spec as the rest like they ran out of cash

I know that house well, and it doesn’t matter what you spend on it, it’s still on a corner where cars brake and then rev up again every time they go past. I’ll put an extra few revs on next time for you OP! Also, from the amount of tooing and froing there I suspect they’ve spent an absolute fortune.

I think it's gorgeous, but the kitchen is a bit meh.

What is the effing point of having a walk in wardrobe and a dressing room if you have to walk miles across the bedroom from the w I w to get to the dressing room? supposing you change your mind about what you were wearing, or forget something? You could end up lying on the bedroom floor in total exhaustion before you even got dressed in the morning.

And it has two something or other systems. What are they? And does it matter if I don't even have one in my house?

Having said that it is a very nice house once you have made a bonfire of those inspirational words. I even like the bathroom with the eye popping wallpaper.

The top floor is a bit bonkers - if you are in the gym you either have to go downstairs or through someone’s room for a wee. And the master bedroom has a walk in wardrobe and a dressing room which aren’t next to one another. Surely the benefit of the dressing room is you have all your clothes in it?

The decor is all a bit try hard too.

Just remembered my other gripe! you would be driven demented by all the different light bulbs you would have to keep spare to deal with the spots, chandeliers, floor lamps, table lamps, wall lamps etc etc they have used. Your cupboard under the stairs would look like a junior outpost of John Lewis lighting department.

is that laminate? and personally i would've worked more with the colours of the tiles in the fireplaces, or even just with colour.

They seem to have bought a job lot of what looks like laminate flooring - it's everywhere. Just imagine having to rip that out and put solid wood down.
Also, you'd have permanently bruised thighs from those newel post / columny things on the kitchen island.

That's a fabulous house. Sorry. Very grey though.

The kitchen has hardly any surface space - just the island and a tiny corner bitand you aren’t going to want to have all your small appliances on there, it would all end up very clutter in practice unless you only ate takeaways!!

Grass is always greener OP. You say you haven’t finished yet?
And your 👣 is bigger?
Nothing they can do about that, or the breaking/revving cars .
