Do you mean oven or hob?

MrsGotobed · 04/04/2017 19:11

If you mean hob I'd go for an induction one as I'm pissed off with cleaning up spillages and mess from the gas one.

Oven wise, I'd stick to electric

GooodMythicalMorning · 04/04/2017 19:12

Either just not induction (hob)

Hn1234 · 04/04/2017 19:12

Gas hob electric oven! Tried others and has to be my favourite

Palomb · 04/04/2017 19:30

Gas hob electric oven.

I've got an inherited gas oven and it's shit. I wouldn't have one again.

tabithasgran · 04/04/2017 19:34

Induction top pyoclean oven everytime as life's too short to be cleaning all the time

WinkyisbackontheButterBeer · 04/04/2017 19:35

Gas hob electric oven here too.

FrenchLavender · 04/04/2017 19:35

Always electric. Gas hobs are apt to blow out and are difficult to clean although they are much better for woks but they aren't as good as induction for everything else. Gas ovens are outdated and too difficult to get accurate temperature control on.

TheHuntingOfTheSarky · 04/04/2017 19:36

Gas hob electric oven every time.

jensner · 04/04/2017 20:05

Electric oven and induction hob.

refusetobeasheep · 04/04/2017 20:13

Interesting! So deffo electric oven, maybe gas / induction hob .... actually need to google what an induction job is!

We are just having a new kitchen. Fab electric oven and induction hob is our choice

Glossolalia · 04/04/2017 20:17

I FUCKING hate induction hobs.

Gas job, electric oven.

Every single time.

refusetobeasheep · 04/04/2017 20:17

Wow. Should have tried to understand induction cooking before I had the GandT .... at least understood is quicker!

Induction job and pyrotechnic oven. Makes cleaning easier all round and an induction job is really quick to heat up - nothing like old ceramic or halogen ones.

AspasiaFitzgibbon · 04/04/2017 20:20

Gas hob electric oven. Never had a gas hob blow.

AdoraBell · 04/04/2017 20:20

Gas hob for me. I'm happy with an electric oven.

We have a fab induction hob now, but only because the gas doesn't run to the kitchenHmm We didn't know that before we bought.

isittheholidaysyet · 04/04/2017 20:21

I'd stick with my gas hob and electric oven.

NannyR · 04/04/2017 20:24

I love my induction hob - just as responsive as gas but so much easier to clean. However, ideally I would like to have a single gas burner for stirfrying in a wok - I've seen combination hobs where there are three induction hobs and one gas hob.

SpringSpringSpring · 04/04/2017 21:02

Definitely gas hob.

Probably electric oven although I love a gas grill.

Justanothernameonthepage · 04/04/2017 21:39

Gas hob (unless you don't really enjoy cooking) induction jobs are awful.

DramaAlpaca · 04/04/2017 21:41

I'd stick with what I have - gas hob, electric oven.

SusannahD · 04/04/2017 21:43

Gas hob- much quicker than electric and easy to control heat, bit of a pain to clean though. Electric oven.

MusicToMyEars800 · 04/04/2017 21:44

gas hob, electric oven and gas grill ( in an ideal world ) my electric grill takes way too long to melt the cheese on my toast Grin

buckeejit · 04/04/2017 21:47

Aargh - I'm trying to decide between gas and induction hob - think the ease of cleaning will win out with induction
