We've filled up the old one! (maybe someone on a mobile device could add a post with this link though?)

First working day today since we went online Grin. We've had a lot of views on the website over the weekend - I don't suppose anyone's estimated how many website views have converted to calls/viewings?

Outbackshack · 18/04/2017 13:00

Second viewing have put offer in on another house :( feeling a bit despondent today. Got another viewing booked but not hopeful now.

Squirrelonwheels · 18/04/2017 13:39

Can I join in? House went on the market last week, had viewings over the weekend and just waiting for feedback on them. We've found a house we like but the vendors (understandably) won't consider an offer from us until we've sold, so fingers crossed we get an offer soon!

Fortheloveofscience · 18/04/2017 13:50

Impressed you had viewings over the weekend squirrel, our EA was shut. We've got one booked for thurs though.

Fortheloveofscience · 18/04/2017 13:51

That's rubbish news outback. Fingers crossed for your next viewing.

Squirrelonwheels · 18/04/2017 14:05

Yes I was surprised but pleased that our EA was working!

Beckyb1 · 18/04/2017 14:24

Feedback from last week's viewers was they offered on another house Sad

Lilmisskittykat · 18/04/2017 14:31

Aw Becky that's rubbish... I've had that feedback before... just makes you feel crap.

Around here (nw) everything seems to be reducing. Hoping we can hold our price already selling sub what bought for

Shortdarkandfeisty · 18/04/2017 14:31

Sorry to those of you who have had viewings but no offers, that's a shame. I am hoping we will be on the market by next week. We are putting the finishing touches to the house this week.

Outbackshack · 18/04/2017 15:12

I feel your pain beckyb1. Thank you fortheloveofscience. We really like a house and rang ea today. Apparently they are separating so not in rush to sell so will accept an offer. Hopefully will sell ours eventually....

Beckyb1 · 18/04/2017 15:23

It's gutting isn't it outback! Onwards and upwards and await some more viewers..

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 18/04/2017 15:49

We've had that a few times Becky. It's soul destroying.

The person who had a second viewing last week is coming back for a third viewing on Thursday. I'm a bit puzzled as to how many times you can look at a three bed semi to be honest!

PoochiePie · 18/04/2017 16:22

We had a last minute viewing request for Easter Sunday that the agent couldn't make due to being shut. So we changed our plans To accommodate the viewing. The couple were quite clearly just holidaying in the area, considering maybe moving there as of that weekend, barely even looked around/acted interested and I get the impression they are considering a new version of ours and just wanted to see what the build quality etc was like in a non-show home - as they even talked about having been to the sales office, and asked about delays and snagging. Maybe the feedback from the EA will be different but doesn't seem likely.
I don't understand why people view houses they have no actual interest in. And on Easter Sunday too! :-/

schnitzel your kidding?!? Grin that's ridiculous!!!

DoristheNovice · 18/04/2017 17:53

schnitzel a work colleague of mine who's currently selling her average 3 bed semi has got someone viewing hers for the third time Hmm According to the EA the buyers have narrowed it down to two houses but can't decide between them so will keep viewing them until they've decided. Who knows how many viewings they'll end up doing!

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 18/04/2017 21:06

I'm just getting sick of cleaning and tidying! And with a 2.9 yo and a 5 month old there's always more cleaning to do!

drspouse · 19/04/2017 09:43

We're clearing up for moving, it's not really view-ready at the moment but another tip run and DH doing a Lego tidy should get that sorted.

We're moving next Friday and Saturday and we think we will be leaving our tasteful light fittings (we hate the ones in the new place but will live with them, though not with the unsafe wiring! Just discovered yesterday aaargh!) and also all our pictures. They will be easy to move later, they'll break up the expanse of walls and hide the faded patches Blush.

I think we are not going to change agents because of the commission issue - we really couldn't sell quickly enough to make that amount of commission.

I had a viewer who came three times with various family members measured up ... made a if I offer I'd like to offer (so not an offer I could proceed with) said wanted a valuation done... I could make the one date she proposed ... she then disappeared

Fortheloveofscience · 19/04/2017 14:26

Nearly been on the market a week now. We had one viewing booked for tomorrow, but just had a call to say they've had an offer accepted elsewhere and cancelled Sad. I was hoping some would book for this weekend, but so far nothing. Getting dispirited already we've had almost 300 views online (on zoopla, and Rightmove will be higher) but no one seems to be calling...

Loueytb3 · 19/04/2017 14:38

We've gone live on Rightmove today. Already have one viewing organised for this evening. DS2 is supposed to be finishing a school project tonight, involving paint. I hope it doesn't put them off...

PartyintheKitchen · 19/04/2017 14:47

Slow weekend over Easter and no viewings booked in for the coming days/wknd. I'm starting to have a minor panic that we will never sell. Sad

Also this election news has me a little freaked, supposedly buying stalls in the run up to an election. Any thoughts on that fellow sellers?

drspouse · 19/04/2017 14:49

Oh don't say that Party. I already feeling not at all calm about moving without having sold.

OP posts:
Fortheloveofscience · 19/04/2017 15:02

Is it worth ringing the EA to see if they know why it's so slow? We haven't spoken to the sales director since we listed...

PartyintheKitchen · 19/04/2017 15:17

The poor guy, I call him every few days and he's really very good, he always takes my calls and always chats though all the points etc. Rightmove on our property is the highest in their branch. I don't doubt that they are trying, it's simply very slow in our price range at the moment as it's typically second time buyers in London with chunky deposits who we're targeting. If we didn't add an extra room it would be affordable for a wider buyer group. We may have sold a lot quicker. Our house is sitting empty waiting for someone to come and love it as much as I do. Confused It is genuinely in line with all similar properties, a little below I think as we've already dropped the price, but none have gone STC since we listed. Perhaps every single one of us is overpriced, which would be absolutely fair enough. If we get no interest in the next fortnight we'll drop the price again.

It's like crystal ball gazing isn't it? Gin
