We've filled up the old one! (maybe someone on a mobile device could add a post with this link though?)

Good luck Becky!

We've been on the market almost 3 weeks, and other than one second viewing, from which we've had no feedback, there seem to be loads of viewings but no interest in buying. I'm finding this stressful and just want it over with. I have no idea how people cope with waiting months!

Beckyb1 · 04/04/2017 14:36

Thanks everyone! Ea just rang and has booked in another viewer tomorrow! Grin at least it's already immaculate!! schnitzel it's defo hard work! Your one step ahead of me in having a second viewer tho! Hoping one of us receives an offer soon!!

Tiredemma · 04/04/2017 18:05

Put an offer in on my absolute dream forever home on saturday.

Had to go into final offers bid today and wont find out until tomorrow. I am fraught.

Beckyb1 · 04/04/2017 18:26

Oh I have everything crossed for you tiredemma!

jazzmin · 04/04/2017 18:46

Let us know as soon as you do! We need more positive news on this thread. My husband is in the 'we will never sell this ' frame of mind after 44 days on the market....

Outbackshack · 04/04/2017 20:07

8th viewing booked now but no second viewings yet.....
De cluttered today (threw everything in black bags and threw in that attic!)

Lilmisskittykat · 04/04/2017 20:25

Outbackshack that's so funny ... it works though doesn't it?

Well overdue some good news on here guys! I'm still in limbo no definite withdrawal, no contact from my estate agent so not on the market.

Gonna kickass tomorrow and get it back on the market... apparently it usually picks from from Easter weekend ... hang in there!!

DoristheNovice · 04/04/2017 20:30

I am having a very strange evening. I swear on my life I am not kidding. I got in from work at half 7 and my husband says "you know the people round the corner at number 2? Well they've just come round and said they want the house for their daughter" Well he told them we've had an offer from a ftb and we're going with them but thanks, but she then says they'll pay us a cash sum to drop our buyers and sell it to them Shock. Then, no word of a lie, whilst I'm sat eating my tea, another couple knock on the door. They are looking around the area, love our house and are in rented and are keen to move asap and can they have a quick look around? WTF? I explained the situation, told them to register their interest with the EA in case our current buyers can't proceed.

I mean seriously, where we're these people 2 months ago!! Plus, I would never have the balls to knock on someones door and request a "quick look around" Even the kids are baffled as to what's going on with the strangers knocking on the door!

Good luck everyone with their up coming viewings.

This whole house buying/selling thing is ridiculously stressful GardenGeek I hate the fact that it could all fall apart seemingly on the whim of someone changing their mind! You'd think that something as big as buying a property would have some sort of security that means you aren't on edge until completion. The system is far too shaky for my liking Sad
I'm a natural worrier too but people keep saying it'll be fine blah blah blah but it wasn't fine the first time our chain broke down!

Fingers crossed that yours goes smoothly Smile

drspouse · 04/04/2017 21:08

Another viewing booked for tomorrow thank goodness. We are away so no chance for the DC to mess it up!

OP posts:
PoochiePie · 04/04/2017 21:19

One of our second viewers has had their buyer fall through, so despite telling us they love the house, it's a no go for now unless they get a new offer :(
We have a second couple who are Ftb and have told us they want to make an offer, but are waiting for mortgage advice. Theyve already pre-warned me that they've had to consider what they can really offer, but we have quite a small margin on our price, so now I'm worried that it will be really low and then will really be stuck with what we decide to do 😩 I just wish this was less stressful! Or that I could deal with the stress !!

Serowe72 · 04/04/2017 22:08

We sold! Only had a day of viewings. We can go back to being messy :)

Hoping for a straight forward sale. Best start looking for houses!

Well done serowe! Although only one day of viewings... AngryGrin

Garden That's what insurance is for. If you're in Scotland your vendor will be responsible for the building insurance until completion (date of entry), in England / Wales you'll need to have buildings insurance in place when you exchange.

CountMagnus · 05/04/2017 13:12

fialor Your Rightmove listing is looking a lot better (only suggestion I would make is that the word "separate" is used a lot in the first para of the description).

Tiredemma · 05/04/2017 14:45

Didn't get the house we wanted. It went to final offers and whilst ours was the greatest offer, the EA stated that we didn't get it as we needed a larger mortgage than the other bidders.

Not entirely sure really why that is significant but hey ho.

The search continues

CountMagnus · 05/04/2017 14:51

Tiredemma what a lame excuse - isn't the size of your mortgage between you and your mortgage lender? Unless the EA is concerned about the valuation for mortgage purposes. The EA isn't going to try and sell you something else instead by any chance? I've known them do that before now.

flownthecoopkiwi · 05/04/2017 14:59

fialor that seems like a lot of money for Royston (I live in Sth Cambs) and that is more the price I would expect to pay around here

Loueytb3 · 05/04/2017 16:39

We are about to go up for sale, hopefully by the weekend. DH has had the photographers round again today to re-take some shots we were not happy with and check the floor plan as he thinks they have under-measured he's wrong

We are also waiting for amended details to be sent back as we corrected their grammar...

Having a wobble about the price we put it on for (which, quite frankly is ridiculous, but that's London prices for you). We are moving to another town which is equally expensive, so we need as much as we can get for the current house. However, we will be renting to begin with so at least there is no chain above us.

I am obsessed with Rightmove. Someone mentioned Rightmove stats? How do you find the viewing stats?

MammyNeedsASpaDay · 05/04/2017 17:48

We're on rightmove now! I'm excited. Hopefully I will still feel this way in a few weeks time. Like the previous poster I'm also interested in the rightmove click through rate.

jazzmin · 05/04/2017 17:49

I can view my stats on rightmove every day as I am with an online agent. Yesterday it was 77, up from 40 ish most days. Hopefully a sign more people are starting to look in the spring.

Beckyb1 · 05/04/2017 18:01

So we had a viewer. They were here for 45 minutes. I was hanging around the end of the road and they were thorough with looking. Not sure whether that's a good or bad thing?!
