Anyone nervous for primary school admission results?

State primary admission results are.out this week. We have to wait for a letter, how retro, as we did a paper application for a deferred Reception start (DD is 5 in July, some minor additional needs). Really really hope we get a place at the friendly local school a 5 minute walk away! Anyone else waiting and want to chew their nails with me?

First choice!

Summerisdone · 16/04/2019 00:29

Anyone in Cheshire West been able to see their child's school when you login? I still don't have an acceptance, so just checking it's not just mine that's not working Grin

Barmaid101 · 16/04/2019 00:30

First choice!

ifoundthebread · 16/04/2019 00:32

First choice offered and accepted. Can go to sleep happy.

TildaTurnip · 16/04/2019 00:33

Flower by taking ID proof for child and address proof for parents into the school.

purplepingu · 16/04/2019 00:37

Second choice here 😢

Second choice is the one my DH wanted to put but I didn't. But, and I quote, it doesn't matter what the second choice is because we'll get our first choice. Also the same reasoning for not letting me put the third choice as the second choice.

He's happily snoring away while I'm left worrying about the prospect of a shitty drop off and pickup for the next ten years thanks to him being insistent that we'd get our catchment school.

Stravapalava · 16/04/2019 00:37

Is there anyone in Leicestershire? The website is saying unavailable?? Maybe it's everyone crashing it!

Willow1992 · 16/04/2019 00:38

First choice! Yay.

For anyone waiting in Nottinghamshire, no email has been sent but they are on the hub if you log in.

BingandFlop2019 · 16/04/2019 00:40

Got the result and although it was originally my third choice it became very very much my first choice and I'm over the moon!

But why does it have rank numbers? Sorry if I sound thick I'm very tired but surely the school they've offered should be ranked at 1?

Also, why is it telling not to respond? How do I accept the place??

Lincolnshire here and first choice given! Yay
We do not have to respond unless we are refusing the place :) x

SingerNamedElephant · 16/04/2019 00:43

BingandFlop2019 I think it's saying you don't have to accept the school offered if you want to stay on the waiting lists for the other two schools.

Itsokaynow · 16/04/2019 00:44

Just got our offer from Cheshire East.

BingandFlop2019 · 16/04/2019 01:09

@SingerNamedElephant Thanks. Well I've decided based on Ofsted that I'd like to go for our second choice. Think a call to admissions tomorrow is in order!! :(

AllPizzasGreatAndSmall · 16/04/2019 01:23

BingandFlop2019, surely the 'ranking' is the order you put them in, so you didn't get your first and second choice and have been offered your third. You are on the waiting lists for your first and second, but I thought you had changed your mind and now wanted number 3? If you have changed your mind again don't reject the school you have been offered or you might end up with no school place.

cheesenpickles · 16/04/2019 01:40

Second choice

TwentyBandits · 16/04/2019 02:45

Third choice. I suffer from anxiety and depression and cannot walk to the school given every day, so now I don't know what to do. I have filled in the appeal form but I feel defeated already. Sad

angelgirl23 · 16/04/2019 04:42

Is that all Primary Schools in Lincolnshire please? X

angelgirl23 · 16/04/2019 04:43

Wowsers that question was to x

DumbleDork · 16/04/2019 05:07

Just woke up to go to work. I’m so jealous of everyone who was there results. Congratulations to all who got first choice Smile Dorset have to wait till 9am. I felt physically sick on senior results day for my DS and live backing onto his school field 😂 so knew we’d get it but felt sick all the same. I really don’t know how I’ll get any work done this morning Confused

MsRabbitRocks · 16/04/2019 05:35

Waiting till 5pm here! Damn London!!!!!!!

DumbleDork · 16/04/2019 05:50

msrabbit that’s rubbish having to wait till 5pm

Nquartz · 16/04/2019 05:56

Anyone had Derbyshire results? Just had a quick look to see if I can log in to get it but all info is now about making a late application.

It was an email for DD's infant school place but can't remember what time it came through & feeling impatient already!

KitKat1985 · 16/04/2019 06:16

No results yet here in East Sussex annoyingly!

Will have to keep anxiously sneaking checks on my phone at work this morning.

Napssavelives · 16/04/2019 06:18

Results here. First choice, dams has a sibling at the school though

ThisIsTheEndgame · 16/04/2019 06:21

Sorry about your bad luck @purplepingu (are you on the waiting list for your first choice?) and @TwentyBandits - good luck with the appeal.

Jealous of all of you who have the results - I dreamed about schools all night and I've been wide awake since half 5 even though the letter probably won't come today.
