Medical abortion- waiting for appointment

Just after moral support from anyone maybe going through the same. Just discovered I am pregnant, I have 2 children and we are just not in that place any more to be having any more babies. I am
absolutely gobsmacked that I am pregnant. Decided to have a medical abortion and just want it done asap. Soonest appointment from BPAS I could get is Friday. It seems like forever away and I am in complete limbo. I can’t think of anything else. I’m so upset that I have to do this!!!! Is anyone else in that waiting phase? I just want it to be over with!

Thank you, hoping the phone call tomorrow goes fine and then the ball can get rolling on the process. It’s just the apprehension of waiting. Just have to keep thinking that a week today the worst of it should be over!

I've taken pill 1 this morning, no side effects, see what stage 2 brings tomorrow....

Hey guys, thank you so much for the updates here I have been following along. @Chunk9 I'm so glad everything went smoothly for you. I had to have a scan today to rule out an ectopic so that's added precious days on to things. But I've finally got the medication so I'm going to take the first pill this evening. I'm getting very anxious now regarding the pain though, I can't wait to get the next day over with.

Did you guys have any extra pain relief for yours? I'm worrying as some people get codeine but i wasn't given any. Thanks again for the updates xx

I was given codeine but I honestly didn’t find the pain bad at all. It was quite a dull uncomfortable feeling as opposed to pain pain. Please don’t worry.

I was given codeine too, was asked if i wanted it sending. Hope i don't need it, having ibuprofen 15 mins before i start stage 2 and will have paracetamol with me just in case.

I’ve just taken my first pill, hoping no sickness and it goes smoothly

I took mine yesterday evening and felt fine. Im a touch nauseous this morning but that could also be nerves. Fingers are crossed for us both :)

Bleeding started on the 4hr mark but used the 2 extra tablets to be sure.
TMI but when i wiped a couple of the original tablets came out, anyone have that?? I laid down for 90 mins after using them to give them the best shot at dissolving. Put them back but with the bleeding in assuming they'll be back out. Again been laid down an hour.
Pain fine, light aching a tiny bit of nausea.

Oh well done! So glad you're managing okay, this gives me hope! And when people place it in the mouth it only needs contact with the gums for 30 mins so I wouldn't be concerned if you kept them in place for 90. I imagine they must fall out most of the time, as theyre designed to be getting stuff out from that area! it's clearly working :)

Update, dull ache like period pain, had a short period of stronger aching then passed a big clot, since then aching has gone back to dull low level. I'm starving though! Feeling less bloated too.

I was actually worried about how little pain I felt, but the nurse said it's probably due to having been through labour before - the uterus has already gone through the motions so it's less strenuous.

It is, get the odd little bit but passes quickly, bleeding has eased a lot since the big clot

I'm 5 hours in and took the last 2 an hour ish ago. It dissolved very fast in my mouth!
Cramps have been moderate I'd say, but I do have very painful periods normally and I'd say it wasn't as bad as those can be! I'm a bit worried as everything seems to be slowing down a lot already but i have passed large amount of blood with clots, and 1 larger one. So fingers crossed that's it. I've never had a child so maybe that contributed to my pain?
Even given the cramps the build-up to this has been the worst bit. I can't wait for my Google searches to go back to simpler times like 'how old is Selena gomez' rather than anything MA related 🤣. Thanks again all x
