Hello and congratulations everyone,
Just sinking in that our second child is due Jan 20th. Found out about this place several weeks after I had my dd in Feb 2008 and wished I had known about it sooner! Am delighted as this works out brilliantly for me in terms of maternity leave and my dd starting her state nursery provision (i'll be there for her, rather than at work) but was told today that I am high risk and under consultant care with immediate effect. So we have our fingers and our toes crossed and lots of positive thoughts.

Hi all,
very sad news for me! I miscarried on Sunday and so the journey with my baby and you all has ended!
I will still watch the thread and will enjoy hearing all the news, especially in January.
I wish you all a healthy and happy pregnancy. x x x

knackered76 · 26/05/2010 07:28

Hello all,

Am due around 24th Jan so about 5 weeks at the moment. We were meant to be aiming for a bit later in the year but never mind! This will by number 3. I have a 5 yr old DD and 3 yr old DS. Feeling fine at the moment. No problems in other 2 and no MS so hoping the same this time!

Fingers crossed for everyone

Oh Mamapower hugs are sent your way, so sorry for your loss, it is such a scary time.
I was very poorly on sunday and had terrible cramping and feeling awful for the whole day and I convinced myself that I was too going to mc, but I have read all the bumf, and I seem to be ok, no bleeding so it must just be my uterus stretching, got all my frist mw appointment on the 6th and scan date due for 25th june, a long and scary wait until then..big hugs to all with this waiting game x

InchyInchy · 26/05/2010 09:47

Hello,

Can i join too please. I jut found out a couple of days ago that i'm pregnant and due on the 30th of Jan.

This is my second pregnancy, the last one ended in a mmc earlier this year. I am hopeful and trying to be optimistic that everything will be fine this time round.

Hello everyone

Another newbie joining in.

I'm 35 and this is my first pregnancy. Due 27th Jan if calculations are right.

Nervous about it all, but struggling not to tell people as I'm excited too! OH is working away a lot this next few weeks so forgive if I talk too much.

TeaLovingMonkey · 26/05/2010 22:43

Hello everyone and congratulations!

I just tested today and got a BFP! So excited My due date is 28th Jan and this will be my second baby (actually am still on maternity leave with my first DS - heh heh!)

Have just started feeling queazy this afternoon but perhaps thats just phycological.

Can't wait to tell people - feel like I am going to bust waiting for that 12 week scan

CheeseChomper · 27/05/2010 17:26

Congratulations everyone!

I'm 26 and new on MumsNet and found out on Monday that i'm pregnant through home pg tests, was confirmed by doctor this afternoon- think i'm about 5 weeks so due middle/ end of January. Going for a dating scan within the next two weeks, very excited but wondering around in a daze!

Little one will be mine and my fella's first, still can't believe I actually am pregnant as have no major symptoms yet apart from occasional pains and bloating-was worried but apparently normal due to uterus stretching (or something like that!)

Anyone else out there?!

deedee321 · 27/05/2010 19:07

Mamapower, am so so sorry to hear your news. Big hugs.

Kitty30 · 28/05/2010 10:49

Hello everyone!

I'm 29 and expecting my first. I only found out on Wednesday through 3 home pregnancy tests. I was due to hand in my notice at work that day... Good thing I didnt :-) I still cant believe it though...it feels surreal. Went to the doc and apparently about 7 weeks so going for first scan in two weeks. Maybe it will feel more real then.

I have been up and down. I get very excited and then VERY scared and nervous and sometimes think I might burst into tears. A lot is going to have to change but you gain so much. But you do wonder if you are totally ready...just hope I am!

I am dying to talk to you girls who are in the similar boat as me. We have told our parents and thats it. But none of my friends are expecting or have children so it would be nice to share this with like-minded ladies! :-)

janmummy · 28/05/2010 14:25

I am due the end of January and am having stomach pains, can't really explain them. I als feel really bloated. Is this normal? It's my first time. I am also so so tired!

janmummy · 28/05/2010 14:27

Sorry got so worried about symptoms forget to say congratulations to everyone! x

CheeseChomper · 29/05/2010 18:32

Hi Janmummy (and everyone else!),

I just posted a thread asking for advice and reassurance about stomach/womb pains and bloating as i've been having them for the last week or so (hence my reason for doing a pg test in the first place), and apparently they're quite normal! Something to do with stretching and baby embedding, but other Mumsnetters have told me they felt the same thing!

Hope that helps a bit, I sooooooo know where you're coming from right now!

Ba8y1 · 30/05/2010 14:47

Hi everyone!

First time on mumsnet and liking this thread - lovely to hear so much exciting news!

Got my BFP on Wed - have absolutely no idea how to date this pregnancy - had an MC on 17th April (at 6 weeks - my first pregnancy) and appear to have conceived again before having a period - if I take the 17th April as a pseudo LMP then I guess I'll be due in Jan!! Anyone know if that's accurate??!!

Seeing the doc on Tues - may have to ask for an early scan!

Hubby and I bit scared to get excited this time round - nice to know we're not alone though.

Lots of luck and best wishes to you all!

burtoc · 30/05/2010 15:09

Hello!

Another first timer here, got my BFP on Tuesday, think I'm due about 28th January. I think I am still in shock, was convinced the test would be negative as I was having major period pains this week & my boobs are so sore already!

We haven't told anyone and I am scared to go to the doctors in case they say it was all a mistake!

We want to keep it quiet til after our first scan to make sure everything is ok. Am concerned people will guess with the world cup coming up and me not drinking so have brought a load of schloer to decanter into a wine bottle to drink and then I can just act squiffy.

Sorry for the ramblings it's all a bit too much at the mo

Wishing everyone a happy and healthy 9 months!

Rocklover · 31/05/2010 10:18

Hi, I found out I was pg last week and i'm due on the 31st of Jan according to the NHS calculator. I have a 5 year old daughter who was born on New Year's Day 2005, so although I am very happy to be pg I must admit I am slightly disappointed that it will be another winter baby.

I am feeling sick on and off already and had pretty awful sickness and diarrhoea with my last pg which put me in hospital, so I am praying that doesn't happen again. Hope everyone on here is doing ok.

marshmallow13 · 31/05/2010 14:50

hey all - congrats to everyone!! found out i was pregnant a week or so ago - think my due date is 28/1 - my LMP was 25/4 - but am utterly confused, I only had very light bleed that day lasted a day, and this month (23/4) when I missed I had two tests v.strong lines on the day I was due, and a conception indicator which said 3+ (which would be 5+) I have very strong symptoms, (this is my 2nd) huge boobs and my trousers are tight round my tummy already - do you think I could be further on than I think and can I find out b4 12 weeks - I dont think I will be able to hide it that long!!?
Any advice would be great xx

InchyInchy · 31/05/2010 15:42

Marsh - No advice (i'm sure someone who knows more will be along shortly)

But congrats! Get yourself down to the MW I'm sure they will have some recommendations, is there twins in your family? I've heard that if you are expecting twins you can have stronger symptoms....but then that could just be one of those old wives tales!

Congrats again

marshmallow13 · 31/05/2010 16:28

bugger I must admit these are suspicions I have had too, but no twins in our family at all! - I will call EPU tom and let you know !! Good luck all x

Ibizadreams · 01/06/2010 18:06

Hello all and congratulations!

I'm new to mumsnet and being preggers - finding it all a bit daunting as I am single (father was a FWB who has freaked out and run off). Decided to go ahead anyway, and hoping I can do a good job!

I'm 36 and due on 8th Jan. Currently feeling very green indeed, and finding it hard to deal with as I have a terrible phobia of feeling and being sick.

Hope everyone is doing ok.

lee69 · 23/06/2010 15:34

hello everyone I might have to love and leave you all as it seems I got my dates a little fudged
had a nuchal on sunday and was told I was 13weeks not 11, so that makes me due Dec 23 oh how manic a christmas for me, I am on another thread so I will keep popping in now and again to see how its all going
take care all x

CardyMow · 23/06/2010 22:47
