Hello all

Mind if I join? Just found out we are expecting - 6 Jan or thereabouts.

Sending good wishes to you all for happy and healthy pregnancies.

emble · 03/05/2010 18:25

due11111, my husband thinks I'm mad as I am becoming increasingly convinced that this is all either a) a figment of my imagination or b) something is wrong, all because I am not being sick. He points out that I do not normally threaten to kill him if he goes near my boobs or fall asleep at 8pm...

I guess there's nothing to do but wait!

LuluF · 03/05/2010 19:25

due1111 and emble - I know what you mean about thinking it's a figment of your imagination - this is my 4th and I'm as unconvinced as the very first. Have you been to your GP/midwife yet? Sometimes it helps when you get your Bounty pack!!

Louindevon · 04/05/2010 13:20

Hi Clover81, and congrats! I'm also pregnant with my third and have 2 boys already! I'm due 2.1.11.

Are you wishing for a girl or another boy? Before I got pregnant, I would have said definitely boy, but now, I'm really really not fussed (and don't think will find out at 20 weeks if I can help it!)

Hi everyone, I'm new on here and just found out I'm pregnant. First time and feeling terrified and excited all at the same time. Got a bit of cramping which I'm hoping is normal - no blood or spotting. Any advice? Good luck to everyone expecting in Jan 2011. DD - 9th January

LuluF · 04/05/2010 17:27

Congratulation Penjin

Cramping is usual - though if you're worried speak to your midwife - but you're right, no blood is a good sign.

My only advice is try to enjoy every minute if you can. You'll be amazed how quickly it goes, and if you do it again, you won't have enough time to notice! So indulge yourself whenever possible.

toomuchteaching · 04/05/2010 20:17

I'm new to all this too but just found out at the weekend and keeping quiet is tough, I'm due 8.1.11, so excited! Scared too though as I had a miscarriage with our first at 10+4 last August and it's taken a while to get over and get here again. Keeping my fingers, toes, everything crossed!

Not feeling much yet, and anything I do say my husband just says is me imagining it. He could well be right though!

Starting the new year with a new baby would be so brilliant! Congratulations all.

Spoofie · 05/05/2010 23:54

Hi everyone.
I spent the night in Hospital yesterday. Severe cramps. No bleeding. They scanned me and nothing found, apart from a cyst collapsing in my left ovary (area of pain). Got fobbed off with...sorry, you are not pregnant as no HCG in blood and your cyst is causing pain. The A&E doc had a positive test in urine too as well as my positive on Fri????? A bit confused???
Anyone got any ideas?

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 06/05/2010 09:14

Oh Spoofie, sorry to hear that.

No suggestions really but I've had several negative tests and cramping after a positive test last week. No blood yet but cramping like period pains.

Going to the DR's later to find out what's going on.

preggerz · 09/05/2010 16:48

Hi everyone

Mind if I join you? I'm new on here and found out I'm pregnant 2 weeks ago - first pregnancy. EDD 2nd Jan. DH and I very excited, but I'm also terrified, which I guess is normal.

Spoofie and BigHairyLeggedSpider - I've just speed read through most of this thread and I'm so sorry you're both having such experiences. I hope you are OK and sending you lots of good thoughts....

I hope all you ladies have happy and healthy pregnancies. xxx

AxisofEvil · 09/05/2010 16:58

Hope everyone's doing OK. I've been having some spotting over the last 24 hours which i very oorrying of coure but looking on the boards it seems lots of people have this and are fine so here's hoping its nothing. Fingers crossed!

stenogirl · 09/05/2010 21:54

Spoofie and BHLSpider - sending you lots of hugs, I hope everything is okay x

splodge77 · 10/05/2010 09:41

Hello, i'm new to mumsnet and still figuring it all out - not sure if this thread is still active but I found out on saturday that i'm pregnant, due 11 Jan 11 - all the ones! I'm 33 and its my first pregnancy. We've decided not to tell anyone til the end of May but it is KILLING me. (i am crap at keeping secrets) Any good strategies for hiding the fact that you're not drinking booze? am worried people will ask me outright if i'm preggers and i won't be able to lie convincingly..

asianbabe · 10/05/2010 10:45

Hi All

Hope everyone is ok. I'm slowly getting used to the early symptoms of pg. Had really bad morning sickness but it seems to have settled down now.

Spoofie and bighairyleggedspider keeping my finger crossed for you guys that all is ok.

deedee321 · 10/05/2010 18:40

Hello everyone, I recognise a lot of names from the other ante-natal thread

This is my second preg, have a 2-year-old dd and we've been waiting for this for a while, so very excited. Have pretty mild symptoms so far, just frequent loo visits, but I'm only 4 and a half weeks gone so far.

I really hope things are ok for you Bighairyleggedspider and Spoofie. This is such a stressful time in so many ways!

DeeLL · 10/05/2010 20:43

Hello all, also recently found out I'm pregnant with number one! Have gotten two BFP's but still, like several others, think I must have imagined the result...no symptoms?
Wishing you all happy healthy pregnancies, EDD New Years!
Spoofie and bighairyleggedspider, thinking of you x

AxisofEvil · 10/05/2010 21:14

Just an update on me - my spotting has stopped but I managed to sort out a scan for this afternoon and they could see a faint heartbeat so it looks like things are still ok for now. Whew!

ljg72 · 11/05/2010 02:44

Hello...can I join please?, got a BFP one hour ago! (couldn't sleep) early days, but hoping for a lovely sticky bean x

splodge77 · 11/05/2010 13:18

yey congrats ljg72 and hello,
I just looked back through previous posts and am relieved to see other people talking about being really hungry. Its about the only symptom i've noticed so far (oh yes and slightly sore boobs). I cannot stop scoffing though, will it be like this all the way through?!
