October 2010 babies?

Hi, I am a first-timer Mum to Be and Baby has been given a due date of 1 October. Very early dates still, so nervous and excited I cannot think about anything else! Planning not to tell family and friends till the first three months are over, but it's going to be tough!
Anyone else expecting an October baby out there?

Welcome Ima! And Congrats!
baby - I like Isabella!

Question: I've been having lots of discharge...nothing peculiar - just the stuff I normally get but a lot more of it. It doesn't smell bad but there is a somewhat strong odor. It doesn't itch. Do you think it's a yeast infection, or not?

JaneSpain · 14/04/2010 21:50

Hello All,

Have been reading this thread for a while but didn't want to join in case I jinxed myself ! But all is good and progresing much the same as everyone else.

I am soooo relieved other people are now talking about little fat tummies and starting to have clothing issues as I was too but thought that it was too soon.

Look forward to seeing what's in store next !

Katy86 · 15/04/2010 09:33

babybunting i love Isabella! would have chosen that myself but we already have 3 in our family and thought 4 might be taking it too far who is finding out the sex of their bubbas?x

Welcome and congrats imakara

And mrssenior i keep having little episodes like your clothes horse one! We will be able to laugh about it soon

have a good day all

oh and has anyone seen futuremum about? This was her thread and she seems to have dissapeared?!

xx

DillyDora · 15/04/2010 09:45

Daynee I think if it doesn't smell bad or itch and it's not at odd colour then it's fine. Can you check with the doc or mw?

Hi all btw (manners!) hope everyone is well, I'm stressed to the max about telling work especially as I know that the colleague I work closest with is going to see the Head of Dept today about her workload, and I am about to drop the bomb and say hey I'm off on mat leave.... they don't usually provide cover but they'll have to now! ARGH!

xxx

Katy86 · 15/04/2010 09:51

dilly good luck with telling work. And dont feel bad about the workload thing because they have to take these things into account! I hope it goes well though...im suprised you managed to keep it from them with all the morning sickness etc, well done.

xx

DillyDora · 15/04/2010 09:56

Thanks Katy really appreciate the support. I know, my friend was saying about the ms this morning, I didn't miss a day, a meeting or one single commitment. I worked from home a bit and went home early but didn't slack off - surely that counts for something! Bah must do something about this guilt!

Hi there ladies,
New to this thread, am 14+0 with 2nd DC (have 1 DS, 3.3) and due 14th Oct.
Anyone else think they can feel baby movements at 14 wks? I don't think I felt them til about 19 weeks last time round but have heard it's common to feel them earlier 2nd time (maybe just because you have a better idea what they feel like!).

Katy86 · 15/04/2010 10:54

welcome jacksmybaby congratulations! i think i felt the baby today im 14 +4 and this id DC2 for me too i think you feel it earlier second time round!

Anyone keep randomly crying at silly things they see on the tv?

x

Jacksmybaby · 15/04/2010 10:58

OMG yes re random crying! There was a brilliant thread about this a few weeks back. I keep crying watching Balamory for some reason!

Amelia10 · 15/04/2010 11:18

Hello everyone
I am sort of new to this thread, I first posted a few months ago, but have been away.
I am 14+4 today and was wondering how much bump you ladies have put on?
This is my first child and I look like the side of a house, male colleagues even noticed I was pregnant and were bold enough to say congratulations at 10 weeks.....I am quite small though, that said it is a bit un-nerving when people are telling me I am big for 14 weeks - anyone else experiencing/experienced this?

Amelia

Hi Amelia,
My MIL kept asking me a couple of weeks ago (before I had dating scan) if I was sure I hadn't mixed up my dates as I must surely be much more pg than I thought I was! I wasn't wrong though, as confirmed by scan. Just "big" considering no. of wks!!
I am the size now (14wks) that I was at 22 weeks last time, and definitely look pregnant.
Although depends on the time of day (WAY bigger in the evenings!) and what clothes I am wearing. Am in a mix of some maternity, some (loose-fitting) non-maternity at the mo.

Katy86 · 15/04/2010 11:42

Hi Amelia

I look the same size as i did at about 20 weeks last time! If they said they dates were right at your scan then dont worry everyone is different some people get big bumps and some dont. And i think we have the same due date? 10.10.10? There are lots of us with that due date on here

anythingwithagiraffeonit · 15/04/2010 11:50

Is anyone else already having arguments about names?

My DH seems to hate everything I fall in love with and every suggestion of his is a joke... literally... like a rhyme of our surname of like 'Ichabod' or something...

Ahhhhhh!!

xx

Amelia10 · 15/04/2010 11:53

Thanks for your advice Jacksmybaby and Katy86. This is my first baby so all of this "ohhhh you're a big" is actually really worrying, I don't think people realise how things can come across sometimes 8)

I am indeed due on the 10th October, great birthday if this little one arrives on time,10/10/10, I've heard the liklihood of that is slim although I have told him/her they are not allowed to arrive on 14th(my birthday) or 21st (wedding anniversary).......so naturally I am expecting to go into labour and give birth on one of those two dates at which point I will no doubt require a winch to get up

Jacksmybaby · 15/04/2010 11:54

anythingwith... we stupidly used up the only 2 boys' names we both agreed on, as first and middle names for DS1, so now just hoping this one is a girl!

Jacksmybaby · 15/04/2010 11:57

Amelia, everyone always LOVES to voice their opinion as to "ooh, you're big/small" (usually followed by a prediction on the sex of the baby or its size at birth)... just smile and IGNORE them!!

Katy86 · 15/04/2010 12:02

anything one of the pros of me being single and pregnant is that i dont have to consult anyone about names hopefully baby brain will not take over as i dont want to call the baby anything utterly ridiculous!!! therefore i will run my names by the mumsnetters first to make sure they are sensible haha....what names do u have so far?
x

Katy86 · 15/04/2010 12:22

babyb how did u do ur profile? sorry for sounding a bit dim

Jacksmybaby · 15/04/2010 12:31

Katy, go to the Mymumsnet tab (next to Talk at the top of the page) and you can set it up.
babyb, you can tell if someone else has created a profile if their nickname is underlined in the heading bar of their posts (as mine and yours are).

Katy86 · 15/04/2010 13:09

sorry ill blame it on baby brain but can anyone see my profile now?

DillyDora · 15/04/2010 13:22

I can see it Katy! Cute scan picture

Jacksmybaby · 15/04/2010 13:23

yep. cute scan pic .

MUST get off here now and go and do some work!!

sam12 · 15/04/2010 13:33

Hi.
Muggle1978 one of my students did ask me but I managed to keep my composure and made a joke about not wearing that dress again which threw them off the scent- no dangers of As in that class!!

DillyDora don't worry about telling work- you have nothing to feel guilty about. i took on head of department role in Jan and promised to do allsorts so I was really worried but they were absolutely fine and full of conngratulations.

We have now narrowed it down to 4 names but am not telling the family as they try to put me off names they don't like
xx

sophieandbelly · 15/04/2010 13:44
