October 2010 babies?

Hi, I am a first-timer Mum to Be and Baby has been given a due date of 1 October. Very early dates still, so nervous and excited I cannot think about anything else! Planning not to tell family and friends till the first three months are over, but it's going to be tough!
Anyone else expecting an October baby out there?

my 2nd scan is 22nd may, which seems odd that its next month!

I don't want to know sex - I want a surprise! In reality after 11 years of waiting to be pregnant, I just want a healthy baby, am not bothered about the sex - but secretly want a boy - there are girls everywhere around me, I would like something different!!!

Dillydora, I know what you mean about the other babies - have the same feeling myself, but does anybody cry at the slightest thing? I blubbed at the end of Eragon and the same with 3 men and a little lady - how embarassing!

Sophie Totally going for a surprise - DH and I are rather traditional and want to keep ourselves guessing - also I would like to see what this one feels like and then try and suss out if boys and girls feel different in future pregnancies.

My due date was 20.10.2010 which was quite cool but it was moved back to the 14th following my first scan. However, this is a first baby and I keep being told that they tend to run late. So you never know.

Just found out that SIL is expecting on the 15th Oct - such an exciting time all round - this is no 2 for them so I'll be constantly on the phone asking for advice.

Hope you're getting better weather than us!

Sorry, been really rubbish and not even looked at the internet since Thursday! My MS has gone crazy feel about 6 weeks again when I am actually 13 weeks tomorrow.

DH and I are going to find out the sex, we don't care what it is but we are too inpatient not to find out. Plus really want to buy either pink or blue stuff!

I have another scan this afternoon to check that the babies bowel has moved into the right place, a little worried about it all but guess there is nothing I can do about it just have my fingers crossed really!

Hi all, not posted on this thread before, have 1st scan on Thurs and due date is somewhere between 03.10.10 and 10.10.10, am hoping scan will give us an accurate date but as I may already be 14 weeks it might be too late to pinpoint it. Sophieandbelly - I also have a DD with a third birthday but day before yours as it's 02.10.2007. Am convinced that people will start to think DH and I have an 'annual lets make a baby shag'!

we are hoping to find out the sex of this baby, although we didn't last time.

Just had my second scan, all moved into the right places! It was amazing, the baby wobbled around when I had to move onto my side and put it's hands up as if to say "Wooo Mum, what you doing!!!"

Have got three pics as DH couldn't make it today due to work commitments. Anyway hope everyone elses are going well. EDD also changed now the 10.10.10!!!!

Also sophie you are soooo lucky to be having your scan on 22nd may!!! im due the same day as you yet my scan is not until 11th June!!!!!! so long to wait as i defo want to find out the sex!

Just hd my scan a couple of hours go, it was amazing, so clear and you could see the heartbeat too. Got told I didn't need to drink as much as I did- I was busting! back at work but can't stop looking at our little one. next scan is for 8 weeks, not going to find out the sex. SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so pleased to see lots of good developments!
I am bringing up the rear I am afraid as I am due at the end of October. I had another scan for the recurrent mc clinic this morning though, and it seemed all good which is a relief. I am now 11+1 and it was wriggling a LOT. I have my NT scan two weeks today...

This is all so exciting...I just wish I could hurry up and be like 5 months! Right now, I just look like I'm pudgy !

I also think I'm nesting quite early - although, it could just be my personality. I just bought new couches and made my dh put in a wood floor in our dining room. I also set up the baby's room, minus the crib and such, and I planted a bunch of flowers and plants around the house. And I'm not done...

Still waiting for 1st scan, which as I am only 10weeks today, may not be for a few weeks. I found out the sex of my dd, so I think I will do the same again, not got any preference to sex, a boy would be nice, but I have lots and lots of girls things that could be used again so a girl would save money

Only 2 days to go for my 12 week scan....eeeeh! Soooo excited.

Loving your nesting Daynee, I am trying to plant lettuces and things today but can't find my stash of packets of seeds... I must have put them in a 'safe place' which could mean I'll never see them again!

my due date is 22-10-10. i was previously on the june thread but sadly had a mmc in dec.
anyway i am still quite nervous this time but things seem very different and i look about 5 months already. this is baby no 3 have ds 5 and dd 3 and i am convinced i can feel this baby move already but am possibly just going mad.

Hi cheekymonkey hope you're doing ok. I'm convinced about the moving thing too. 1'm 14+4 and this is my first one, but I read somewhere that they start moving more when you're resting so everytime I go to bed I spend about 20 minutes lying there trying to decide if what I'm feeling is just gas or actual wriggling.

Has anyone used one of those fetal heart monitor things? I saw one on amazon for £30 so I ordered one because DH is worried about feeling left out when I get to feel baby move before him (bless) I probably should've asked if they worked before ordering it, but it was so easy to just click the mouse and buy it without it seeming like I was spending actual money...

Lizwah i'm only 11 weeks so i'm sure it is way too early but the movements are defiantly similar to my last pregnancies. like little butterflies. i have had a monitor in the past, i don't think they really work until about 28 weeks or so, yours may be a better one tho.

hope everyone is feeling ok today, i'm so tired, have a bad headache and sickness seems to have returned but its all worth it. just hoping my scan letter arrives today....

sorry to hear your feeling sick cheeky my sickness seems to have returned to and im 13+3 i thought it should have gone by 12 weeks, with my DD it was gone by 9 weeks! so i hope it decides to vammoooosh soon! xxx

Hi Lizwah and cheekymonkey I am exactly the same, it's usually when I am in the bath that I swear I can feel something tickling my insides, then when I had the scan yesterday, I could feel the baby when I had to move around a little bit so I don't think it;s wind... plus I never felt wind like this before I was pregnant!

Found out yesterday that our Neighbours are due 4 weeks after us so really excited that I have someone to share everything with as well as all you yummy mummies!!!!!

My MS seems to come and go have had a couple of days of feeling awful but feel ok today! Saying that cleaning my teeth seems to make me feel a bit like I have swallowed a plate of worms or something equally as vile.

Anyways hope all you lovely ladies are ok this morning and looking forward to hearing from you all soon!
