October 2010 babies?

Hi, I am a first-timer Mum to Be and Baby has been given a due date of 1 October. Very early dates still, so nervous and excited I cannot think about anything else! Planning not to tell family and friends till the first three months are over, but it's going to be tough!
Anyone else expecting an October baby out there?

I hate to be the bearer of GOOD NEWS but....

My scan was great! They even did it in 3D - so crazy to see our little one bouncing, kicking, and sucking his (or her) thumb! It was totally awesome.

Hope to hear some more good news from you all, and will check in on the mc threads to see how others are doing.

So so sorry for those of you whose pregnancies have ended. I had my booking appointment yesterday and the clinic wasn't very busy. The midwife said that was because a number of women had miscarried. It is unfortunately common but no less devastating for those who have lost their precious babies. Thinking of you all and I hope you can recover and try again soon.

Happily, my appointment went well - saw wriggly baby and his/her heartbeat. Such a relief to see that. Feels much more real now but still hoping all progresses well. Now 11+5 and have begun to tell people. Looking forward to sharing this journey with you all.

I'm 13+5, my scan was 2 weeks ago and it was so amazing! I kept giggling because I could not believe that the picture on the screen was actually in my tummy! It kept wriggling and jumping about, and I was like "there's nothing in my tummy doing that! Its not possible!" Made it all very real!

Hi all - can't hold it in - had my scan last night and all is well - in fact I'm a week further along than I thought!

DH was so excited he practically climbed over the top of me to get a good look at the screen! We've started telling people now and the baby grapevine is working well as the news spreads.

Best of luck to those still waiting for scans and congrats to those who have had good ones.

So sorry to those who have left us and wish you all the best for the future.

I am officially 5 days without being sick and am crossing my fingers that it might finally be over!

Congrats Roobear, I'm fairly new to all this too (posting as well as pregnancy!) it can be a bit confusing but its been really nice to see so many people supporting each other and getting excited together!

I've been really lucky had no sickness, just really tired, but I think part of that is my anemia, I keep thinking they won't find anything at my scan and tell me off for wasting their time! DH thinks I'm mad but hey ho, glad your scan was good MummyBeth, I can't wait until mine, especially as I'm off work until then

Have finally got my booking-in appointment and scan date (12th and 26th of this month respectively). Seems a bit suss, though, that it arrived a day or two after I'd had to phone to chase.... Ah well. Unfortunately DH has some expensive training that he can't get out of on the 26th, so he won't get to see it. Luckily this is our second, so it's less of an issue in a way I suppose.

I had my booking appointment today and have my scan on 20 April. I have everything crossed that I make it that far. It brought back memories being in the booking appointment today as last time it was the day after the appointment that I found out that I had had my 3rd MC. Must do positive thinking!

had a little bit of spotting yesterday, very lite pink and tiny (half size of a pea i would say) if i wasnt so obsessed with looking at loo roll after weeing i would have missed it, but then went to loo at least 30-40 times during day just to check, nothing else has happend so just going to put my feet up and relax

it happend with my first and then had a big bleed at 23 weeks, due to thrush, but doesnt make u worry any the less does it!!

Had my scan today..and it was wonderful so happy lovely to see my little peanut jumping around
Strange though they changed my due date by 1 day! how can they be so accurate? so 10.10.10 it is!!! cant wait

Ohhh Ladies it's all becomming real isn't it - all these lovely scans - congrats to us all and here's for another 28 weeks plain sailing!

Katy that's a cool due date - I hope it works out that way! The Dr moved me forward by a whole week! Have my NHS scan on the 20th so will get to see that all is well again (positive thinking!)I wonder what they'll say - not sure how accurate it will be at dating though as I'll be nearly 16 weeks by then and doesn't the rate of growth vary baby to baby after 12 weeks?

TBH I don't care if this little one has 3 heads, 1 leg and a due date way outside what I was expecting. So long as there is a heart beat I will love it forever and he/she will decide when they're ready to come out and meet us!

Had my scan earlier this week very exciting

I have my 12 week scan on Friday and feeling very nervous about it all... just worrying full stop really... am 38 this will be my first after 11 years of trying so it means a lot to me. Due on 22nd Oct, am really pleased to have found Mums net, hoping to share some good moments too!

No not my first I have DD nearly 4 years old... What about you??? So funny though my DD was due 06.06.06 and now number 2 is 10.10.10 lol but DD came 12.06.06.

katy - I was also given the due date of 10/10/10! That will most likely change, but who knows?! It would be an easy date to remember .

I will have check-ups every 4 weeks, then every 2-3 weeks in my 3rd trimester. My next scan will be around 18-19 weeks! I can't wait to find out the sex!!

Hi Lovelies,

Have had a really good Easter, feeling much much better, still get incredibly tired so if I'm sitting down after lunch you can guarantee I'll doze off but better in general. Have had a couple of days pretty much alone with DH which has been so lovely, also if this isn't tmi I find my ahem..'mojo' is finally returning from wherever it has been for the last 8 or so weeks! So feel much better all round.

Not long till scan on Thursday. Cross everything... heard about a friend's mc on Saturday which was so sad.

Also, has this happened to anyone, I was in a cafe with a friend and there was a woman with a very small (2 weeks?) baby and I had the most insane urge to fling myself across the cafe and grab this child for a cuddle, I was blummen desperate, it was so odd and such a strong feeling, I couldn't stop staring at the baby, even the parents noticed . Am I going vay vay mad?!

Loving the 10/10 due date, do you realise with 3 of you at that date maybe one of you will hit it?!

And no twins amongst us yet, I notice....

Hearing about everyones scans is lovely!

My DH keeps saying 'if only we had concieved 5 days earlier our due date would be 10/10/10' so a little jealous of that ;)

Got my scan tomorrow morning!! Well my proper one, had one a few weeks ago for some pain...

Can't wait!!!!
