I've still got a long way to go, I'm only 22weeks. But just been reading my pregnancy bible, and it says term is anything from 37+. Just wondering when others went into labour with their first child? If it means waiting 3weeks less then brill!

I didn't, I had to be induced 15 days late.
My next 2 came on time naturally.

38 weeks.

neolara · 11/01/2010 10:10

37 + 3

RockinSockBunnies · 11/01/2010 10:17

I went into labour on my due date and DD was born the following day.

JodieO · 11/01/2010 10:19

I went into premature labour at 36 weeks when my waters broke in the night. I gave birth the next day after a fast labour (about 3 hours).

heth1980 · 11/01/2010 10:34

37+1

mama2moo · 11/01/2010 10:41

39+6 My waters started leaking the day before.

NoahAndTheWhale · 11/01/2010 10:45

Waters broke at 38+2 and DS born at 38+3. Had been in and out of hospital for three weeks before that.

NeatFreak · 11/01/2010 11:08

Due date both times (thank god)

Bettymum · 11/01/2010 11:11

40+9, after about 3 sweeps and having my waters broken (sorry!).
DC2 due in April, hope he makes a quicker entrance than DD did.

comeonbishbosh · 11/01/2010 11:30

Goodness, that's quite a proportion of 'early' births! Being now at 36 weeks I've flipped from thinking it would be best if s/he came early to being worried that s/he might just do that!

MyNameIsInigoMontoya · 11/01/2010 11:33

10 days overdue.

Apparently going overdue is much more common than being early really, despite the large number of early babies here!

Pineapplechunks · 11/01/2010 11:34

39+4

Bucharest · 11/01/2010 11:34

4 days before due date.
The idea of having MIL accompany me to hospital the day after started me off in terror.

And for those 2 weeks was the whole world texting you and calling you to ask if the baby was here yet?

Jackmummy · 11/01/2010 11:45

38+6 went into labour... he was born at 39 weeks.

CMOTdibbler · 11/01/2010 11:47

35+0. Would have loved to be on here moaning about waiting for him to come, rather than that sort of start tbh

first1 · 11/01/2010 12:17

Wow I'm surprised that more babies have come early!

motherofsnortpigs · 11/01/2010 12:31

IOL at 43+1. Lucky lucky me! And yes, Tigress, everyone texts, phones etc as if it is your fault the baby hasn't arrived - but after 2 weeks everything goes strangely quiet because people are worried something has gone horribly wrong...thankfully for the original snortpig it hadn't. She is 4 today

ben5 · 11/01/2010 12:39

ds1 was 37+4 very quick labour. woke up with first pains at 3am and he was born at 0712am!! ds2 i thought would come early to so was gutted when he was born at 40+2!! he was quick 2. only 2.5 hours start to finish. good luck

aquavit · 11/01/2010 12:42

went into labour 39+6, lazy baby born 40+2.

I'd deliberately planned lots of things to do that week as I didn't want to be sitting around getting frustrated that the baby had not yet arrived - found that a lovely long latent labour was just the ticket to distract me though

sheeplikessleep · 11/01/2010 12:56

36+4 waters broke, ds1 was born 37+0.
i'm expecting ds2 to be early (i'm 29 weeks at the moment), everyone keeps saying to me he probably won't be. i hope he goes to 39 weeks.

Ineedsomesleep · 11/01/2010 12:57

38+1. DC2 on due date.
