When did you go into labour with DC1?

I've still got a long way to go, I'm only 22weeks. But just been reading my pregnancy bible, and it says term is anything from 37+. Just wondering when others went into labour with their first child? If it means waiting 3weeks less then brill!

same as upafrozenhill, went into labour on due date DS born the next day.

on due date; all over within two hours!

DS1 39 weeks
DS2 41 weeks

Two days before due date. Had over-estimated the cliche that first babies are always 2 weeks early or two weeks late, so when got to a week before date figured nothing would happen for a week or two. Oops.

So ds born day before due date in the end.

40+8

My 37 weeker was sleepy and didn't latch well. First few feeds through a NGT.

Re-admitted with breathing difficulties and jaundice. Bilibed and 4 more days in hospital. But now perfect!

I'm shocked at the number of early firsts, too! I was convinced I had 4-5 more weeks left; didn't even have my bag packed!

I started this thread months ago and was surprised just how many first babies arrived early. Well I'm now 38+4 so she has 10 days to wiggle her way out ahead of due date! I don't think I'll be lucky, feel free to place your bets on being seriously overdue!

39+1 got the trots, went in as advised only had trot pain though. DD was born within 2 hours of arriving.

I was 35 weeks, my waters broke at 10:15 on a Wednesday morning (16th March 2005) - inestablished labour by midnight, DD born at 03:24 in the morning on Thursday 17th march.

Reckon she'll be a guiness drinker

40+12

had a sweep at 40+8 and was told was already 2 cm. Got to 5 cm by 40+11 and DD was born 24 hours later.

37+5 with DC1 and DC2

My DD1 was induced at 40+10. It was the longest 10 days of my life. I hated being overdue, I was so uncomfortable and grumpy. My advice would be to count to the last possible date (around 40+14) and anything earlier is a bonus!

Didn't! Was induced at 41+5 in the evening and DS was born at 42weeks. Am keeping my fingers crossed for baby no.2 deciding for himself its time to meet mummy!

39+4. Am currently 38+6 with dc2 and hoping it will be the same/sooner.

i had to be induced at 41 weeks she eventually came at 41+3 as the induction took forever

my second came at 40+1, well i went into labour 1 day over, she arrived 2 days over.

currently pregnant with #3 and will be being induced or sectioned, not waiting to go into labour for lots of reasons

water broke at 37+1 but no contractions so was induced 3 x and DS arrived 37+3. was so glad as he was due on christmas day.

40 +5 dd
41 +6 ds, oh was so fed up by then, but both times naturally

DS arrived at 38 weeks.

Will plan to start mat leave a couple of weeks before EDD this time as lost 2 weeks of paid holiday last time (of course he was worth every penny )

39 weeks. DS2 was 40 weeks. They like to be exact my boys. No + days

37+3

42 weeks, while I was waiting to be induced, my waters broke in the hospital. They induced me anyway, cos it was going so slow.

39+6, delivered at 40+0

DS born by EMCS 39+5, then 5 days in hospital in bilibed
