I've still got a long way to go, I'm only 22weeks. But just been reading my pregnancy bible, and it says term is anything from 37+. Just wondering when others went into labour with their first child? If it means waiting 3weeks less then brill!

7am on his due date, and arrived the next day!

40+3 days

I was always told that most first babies tend to be later rather than earlier. Don't know how true that is though.

I have researched this !
DD born 38+4
DC2 due 28th June - had arguement with scanners at 11+1 because I "must surely have my dates completely wrong" as baby measured 12+4

My mum had me one week early (she only remembers because I was due Boxing day)
Both my mum and I have short cycles between periods, 24 to 25 days.

It has been proven that if you have shorter cycles, you have the baby earlier. And vice versa.

Anyone else tally with this?

Bang on his due date

Went into labour on my due date at 7am, had DD at 9.30pm - still on my due date.

TulipsInTheSunshine · 08/05/2010 20:38

first1... good luck

my 1st was 4 days early.

beccas... i have long cyles, often well over a month and i've had babies atr 39 + 3, 38 + 2 and 40 + 5 (trust the third to be the no show!) So sorry, i don't quite fit the research!

DC1 1 week early
DC2 4 days late
DC3 4 days late
DC4 on due date

The day before her due date. Labour started early morning and she arrived about two hours before the actual day she was due. Nice and prompt but not so early as to be worrying or mean I hadn't packed bag or anything. Ideal, really.

33 weeks. Wouldn't recommend it.
