Hello all - quick scoot by before I go and pick up Iris...and the hail stones are HUGE. Been shopping.... I have purchased - THIS dress in black and a gorgeous fine knit cowl neck sweater dress. Oh and I found some bargins in the M&S lingerie section....all very pleasing.

bonzo yikes, that the downside to baby wards - they just won't shut up If you've got wind then I recommend peppermint tea....really does the trick.

tee at being poked about so soon after birth. I'd be most indignent!

Wow mrsB I think you're probably erms next book - heck, I'd watch the drama. I see Judi Dench is down for playing your mum....just need to find someone to play you!

Right must run, back later

mrsboogie · 24/07/2009 12:40

the product cannot be found jj

Tee2072 · 24/07/2009 12:42

Link doesn't work JJ!

I really need to go buy some clothes that are either a.) not maternity and/or b.) not for work! I have 10 whole months to until I go back!!

johnworf · 24/07/2009 12:58

mrsb your family make interesting reading. Strange how you've all turned out so different. Without giving the minutiae of my family life growing up, I think I was adopted as I'm nothing like any of my siblings. By nothing, I mean I've never been in prison I left home at 18 and stayed left home. Don't get along with my family and have no time for them unless it's in passing.

tee with you on what POP is now Never been good with taking the pill. I'd have at least 8 children if I'd stayed taking it. You can't forget to take a condom....and then put 5 on at once to make up for the ones you forgot

I've sorted out my winter wardrobe although no one will see it as I'll be at home. Must sort out summer things soon and put them in the loft in the vacuum bag where the moths can't eat them.

JJ dress sounds nice but as you already know, French Connection have put the kybosh on us looking at it for fear we'd all want one.

Did you know that, if we bf, we should continue, even if we get pig flu. Something about antibodies. I didn't know that.
On fingernails, I bite Benjamin's off.

johnworf · 24/07/2009 13:25

Hey mrsb just got a nice tank top today from a shop your neck of the woods; Sarah Coggles? V nice it is too

heron22 · 24/07/2009 13:49

bonzo sorry about your night! you will be home soon

took LO to see doc, his chest is fine. thank god. cos he got some cough on him and is cranky. prob teeth!
if only they can tell us what is wrong!!!

mrsboogie · 24/07/2009 13:55

oh tres posh jw have never had owt from there meself as the sizes don't go up to heffalump...

seeing a lovely green vivienne westwood dress in their window was the thing that really gave me the push on losing weight..
I wonder if its still there - I could do with pressing my nose against the window again...

johnworf · 24/07/2009 14:07

The top I bought was Great Plains but bought it through Amazon. Obviously Sarah Coggles has a shop on the online markerplace there. Twas a bargain though at £15 (half price).

OOOh they do Westwood? Wish you hadn't told me that as I've seen a nice Anglomania cowl top that I'm eyeing up but the price ticket is way out of my league

OP posts:
jeanjeannie · 24/07/2009 14:13

Ooo ladies thak's for alerting me to the fact that link had died - it's caused a kerfuffle. I'm supposed to print it out as proof that it's now half price and the HOF concession has wrongly priced it BUT after a call to head office of FCUK - they've sold out and taken it down. Now I've got to go back this evening and get them to call Head office as proof - it's half price!

jw blimey, I had no idea your family were so different from you - that must be very odd. How does that happen? How do you get lucky/smart/brave enough to be so different?

heron good to hear LO isn't ill.

Oooo, Westwood- I'm assuming we're talking about Vivienne here and not Mr Tim (pimp my ride and actually I'm over 50) Westwood

johnworf · 24/07/2009 14:25

Blimey JJ that's a bit of a faff on the old FC front. Is this why they're called FCUK?

Aye, my family are very different to me. No idea why. I just got lucky and made great attempts in bettering myself I guess.

You are indeed correct that I was referring to Viv, as we affectinately call her

Ok, I'm in for a smack I know but I've just seen a great deal on Body Shop gifts that have been reduced down from £30 to £10. Add to that 15% discount, free delivery and 15% Quidco and I got quite a few xmas presents. Yes, you can smack me now

slaps jw and runs off*

ermintrude13 · 24/07/2009 14:41

/slaps JW, takes a pic of the event on her mobile and texts it to everyone on this thread then runs after JJ sniggering/

heron22 · 24/07/2009 14:46

jw christmas??? dont say christmas??? summer is not even here yet!!!!!

johnworf · 24/07/2009 15:11

What's summer heron? (looks out of window to see torrential rain).

Hey, you two happy slappers!

OP posts:
heron22 · 24/07/2009 15:18

this is going to sound really bad.

i've had it with children today. mine and others.

DS1 has got a friend over for play. i am sitting here trying to relax and have some lunch (a late one!) and they keep coming on asking this and that and this and that.
sick of it!
this summer holiday is going to be a bloody long one.
i need a stiff drink!
they are good kids. i am just not patient today. why????

hedgepig · 24/07/2009 15:34

Christmas don't mention Christmas JW we have to get past Bs birthday yet and being 6 he has a very long list.

Heron I think it may be because you have a little pattern set with the lO and then you have another element in the equation and it takes a while to get used to it. It is the same here although Ollie has been asleep for 2hrs (unheard of ) so I'm at a bit of a loose end at the moment (B is watching TV slacker mummy!!). When does you DH get back.

MrsB you family are fascinating I bet it makes for an interesting Christmas dinner .

Bonzo how crap chin up you will be out very soon. I was in for 10 days with Ben in a very similar noisy ward I'm sure that's what stated the PND. I was really amazed at the number of people using mbs on the ward this time even though it wasn't allowed cos we were next to the SCBU, these were mothers whose babies were in the SCBU btw.

mrsboogie · 24/07/2009 15:46

you are not the only one heron D is driving me mad!! I have to keep dragging him away from the games consoles and all the electronic stuff under the telly (which we haven't yet figured out what to do with now he is mobile). and he doesn't want to do anything except play with them. And he doesn't want me to leave the room even for a second so I can't get anything done.

oh and the person using the mobile in the middle of the doctor speaking - how unutterably rude!!

jeanjeannie · 24/07/2009 15:48

downloads erms happy slapper video of jw onto Youtube

Hahah hedgepig mine are watching CBeebies too although it is more trouble than it's worth because it seeps into my brain and crucifies it. That Big & Small theme tune.....Agh!!!

heron it's because your routine is disturbed and DH is away - enjoying yourself and you're not. You're bored and probably aching for adult conversation!!!! Oh, perhaps that's just me

Tee2072 · 24/07/2009 16:05

Ahh. A is finally asleep. On my chest.

Did someone say CHRISTMAS?!?!

hedgepig · 24/07/2009 16:11

JJ Big and Small are an absolute pain in the bottom! Big Balloon club now what precocious children

MrsB we had the same problem once B stated moving eventually I found a pine TV cabinet with a door in Argos which we put a child lock on. It was a bit tricky to find something with a door and it isn't the most sophisticated look but it does the job, the child lock has just gone back on it.

jeanjeannie · 24/07/2009 16:55

LOL@ Big Balloon club precocious kids Oh I bet they'd have all have been on Junior Masterchef if it was still on!! I have my hair like Nina from Nina & the Nurons today

tee hurrah for A sleeping - even if it is on you!

johnworf · 24/07/2009 17:53

I think the ginger one in Big Cook Little Cook is v sinister. He prolly deals drugs at the weekend.

OP posts:
hedgepig · 24/07/2009 17:59

I would agree with you there JW, he would not be high up my list for a baby sitter.

jeanjeannie · 24/07/2009 17:59

Oh I think they're both at it jw*. I mean have you seen what awful food they serve up....it's got to be a 'front'
