Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
heron22 · 02/06/2009 09:45

iris thanks for the formula! i will do that once i finish up this one i bought! paid £4 for it! expensive

heron22 · 02/06/2009 09:47

i am devastated when bfeeding LO this morning, i noticed him clinging onto to my necklace. did not think anything of it until just then, when i was bfeeding again. and saw that my necklace has been snapped and cant find my pendant anywhere pendant was a darling gift from DH. i am so upset

i hope the pendant did not drop on my way to school this morning. or on the way to gym. i dare not tell DH

jeanjeannie · 02/06/2009 09:59

See, see, I told you all that ermintrude wrote saucy (nay pornographic) novels....Holland....as if you need more proof!! Hahahah - well done old bean. My mate is just starting some publicity rounds for her book but she's been living it large in france for two years and the cheese and wine have left her 3 stones heavier....she's fasting like a hunger-striker!

heron oh no - panic not. It's most likely around the house. Re-trace your steps. Oh I'm so jealous that you get to go to the gym. I doubt if i'll have the time/money to see the insides of one of those until I claim my bus pass

tee Oh yes, do keep us posted. Cramps....MMMmmm, may be a full moon baby.

Yes, it IS just like the primate house here. It's odd as Iris never did that screaching, but Verity does it and it isn't pleasant.

Have to wake her in a moment to go for her jabs. Oh that'll be fun

ermintrude13 · 02/06/2009 10:14

JJ, cheeky! Dutch porn is strong stuff, but I don't think much of it appears in books without pictures . Publicity tours can be a real pressure: I once went to do a reading at a festival and two women were looking at my photo and one said - ooh, she's very pretty, isn't she? - and the other one nudged her and nodded in my direction and she said, in a loud whisper, - no, that can't be her. . Professional b&w portraits can be a double-edged sword; next time I'll get DH to take a snap of me in the garden

heron it wasn't small enough for baby to swallow was it?! As JJ says it's bound to be hanging on to a bit of carpet or something. Hope you find it soon.

And hope the jabs aren't too traumatic JJ - for you or her!

johnworf · 02/06/2009 10:17

JJ we're jabbing tomorrow after hospital appointment. Can't wait.

K won't stop doing this awful high pitched shrieking and it really does set your teeth and your nerves on edge. She's tired today (probably due to lack of sleep during the night) but will NOT go to sleep in her cot. Screams the place down. I have no idea what happened to my lovely little content baby. It's gone and been replaced by a creature that shouts a lot

ermintrude do we get some copies to thumb through? We could set up our own reading club

tee oooh your LO might be here sooner than you think!

Yes, sounds like today is the last day of the hot weather. Don't want to sound like a killjoy but I'll be glad. I'm hoping that K might start sleeping again and isn't so cranky. What an optimist I am!

I could fall asleep right now....so tired.

mrsboogie · 02/06/2009 10:25

morning all

/much too warm for thoughts of porn, Dutch or otherwise

sorry to hear of all these incidents and accidents ladies - hope the bunny boiler is not pregnant - she'll be clutching at straws - who in their right mind would would want a bloke to return to them because they were pregnant??

D slept from 9pm til 8am with a quick 3am bottle but he ain't a happy bunny this morning. All sweaty and tired and miserable again. Have left him in nursery but told them to call me if he is v miserable and I will take him home. All he wants is to be in his Amby, poor weee sod.

jj hope the jabs go ok. She will probably say its ok to go ahead, they don't seem to bothered about sniffles these days.

heron if you found your necklace snapped in the house the likelhood is that it broke there or else it would have fallen off when you were out. Hope you find the pendant!

tee hope the clinic gives you a release date...

Tee2072 · 02/06/2009 10:58

Too hot and too pregnant to think about porn...

But congrats ermintrude about the book in Dutch!

mrsboogie · 02/06/2009 11:37

Isn't it heartbreaking about that couple who jumped off Beachy head because their little boy had died

johnworf · 02/06/2009 11:39

Just heard that on the radio mrsb Very sad. Whole family gone.

What time will you know tee?

Tee2072 · 02/06/2009 11:46

Appointment is at 3:15 JW so after that! Last time appointment was at that same time, but didn't actually see OB until about 4:45!

And then after we have Antenatal class, so no news from me until after 9pm, I'm afraid!

ermintrude13 · 02/06/2009 11:49

oh god, why did i follow the link to that beachy head story? i'd have blubbed at it anyway, but pregnancy blubbing is like it's someone you know. better than them dragging him to his death i guess.

duchesse · 02/06/2009 11:50

Woah! I have work!! Very tight deadline (tonight), very well paid.

< digs in for a few hours >

heron22 · 02/06/2009 12:27

Ladies !!! i found the pendant!!!! phew!!!!
luckily my LO did not swallow it, but maybe it was a bit big for swallowing. about the size of a ten pence.
it was actually inside my LO's babygro

ok, no more necklaces until LO is 3! or something like that

ermin i read that story too, it is just way sad, esp the bag of teddies.

duchesse great to hear about your work

mrsb hope your LO gets better. it is hot out there. and i LOVE it

this kind of weather always makes me feel like i am on holidays

Tee2072 · 02/06/2009 12:48

heron So glad you found it!

duchesse great news about the work!

DH, who is coming with me this afternoon, so is home from work, has just made a lunch of:

Pot Noodles
Bagel with cream cheese and roast beef
Squash.

Sooo glad I made my own lunch.

johnworf · 02/06/2009 12:58

tee at least he made it himself. And I suppose you could call it balanced; carbs, protein and fruit...ok, ok....it sounds vile

heron22 · 02/06/2009 13:14

has anyone seen the program "10 things to know about losing weight"

johnworf · 02/06/2009 13:17

I saw it last week heron. Any particular reason apart from the lovely doctor on it - kisses her screen mwah

heron22 · 02/06/2009 13:39

jw he is lovely isnt he? i am going to make more soup it says keeps us feeling full for longer

Tee2072 · 02/06/2009 13:42

Smelled vile as well, JW.

I thought the only thing you needed to know to lose weight was:

1 Eat Less
2 Exercise More.

What are the other 8?

heron22 · 02/06/2009 13:46

jw how is K?

mrsboogie · 02/06/2009 13:49

tee if only it were that simple
maybe one of the ten things should be "don't fuck up your metabolism with years of yoyo dieting so that it goes into shut down as soon as your even hear the word diet"

oh, and another one "wine counts"

went to visit mr D at lunchtime - he was happily ensconsed in a sandpit with a big ring of sand round his mouth while all the other babies slept peacefully on. They said he is a bit happier today and they are keeping him cool. I have a sinking feeling he has hayfever as his eyes nose and mouth are all running water.

jeanjeannie · 02/06/2009 13:58

Hahahaha - pushes jw aside and licks screen!!

Actually, I had an omlette for breaky - and bugger me - it's true - protein really does fill you up! Been doing the low fat dairy thing too - and I've lost 4lbs this week - despite birthday cake on Sat [smug emoticon]

Oh that poor family - I howled when I read that. And that plane lost over the Atlantic - tragic.

heron glad you found it. At least it was in the babygro and NOT two days later inside the nappy

tee After 9pm....that's a veritable cliff hanger - I'm not sure we can wait that long

I'm re-arranging the furniture - just can't seem to get the room feeling like I want it to. Mmmm, wonder if DP will move a radiator?!

johnworf · 02/06/2009 14:00

heron K is in her cot wearing just her nappy, face down, splayed like a lettuce. Cheeks still bright red and I know she'll wake up with one of her awful shrieks but I'm enjoying 5 minutes peace, albeit short lived

mrsb I've wondered if this cold that K has is in fact hay fever. Mine is bad at the mo and so is DH's. Her nose has been streaming for over a week now. Will ask tomorrow at hospital visit. Btw, not sure that babies can have anti-histamines even if they do have it, can they? Btw, love the image of the sand-wich

Apparently, once you are over 40, exercise counts as 30% to the balance of 70% less calories to achieve weight loss. It is 70/30 the other way for children. Basically, once you're middle aged, it's what goes in your mouth that counts. My weight loss has really slowed down but at least it's coming off, slowly. mrsb hows yours doing?

johnworf · 02/06/2009 14:03

JJ wonder what your OH would say if you told him that 'the door isn't right there'?

Heeeeyy! I was enjoying my kiss with the dishy doc.

Bloody marvellous weight loss JJ. Well done!

I've found that prune juice is lovely. If I didn't know better I'd swear I had a craving. Clears you out as well

BonzoDoodah · 02/06/2009 14:09

Ermintrude - mega brill getting a Dutch Deal and a baby in the same month ....things are looking up!

Heron woo you found the necklace! Super.

jj good luck for the jabs - just keep her cool afterwards as temps tend to rise abit after them anyway. Soooooo glad I'm in an aircon office!

My sister has rung and said they're letting her partner out today (probably) - phew!

Tee [pukes] aren't you glad he isn't home every day!

(sobs at beachy head story) ... bloody pregnancy hormones. I was crying reading bloody Tatty_Ratty to M the other night ... soft sod!!!
