morning bleary eyed.., another 5am start but I think I may be getting used to it, DH is buggered but he is older than me.

JJ how you get some help at the docs and the queue isn't too long.

Heron I haven't tried that milk but I have dinky LOs who are never that interested in food, They still wake blooming early but because they want to rather than because they are hungry. I think the GP is right about weaning so long as they are over 4 months you can make a start if they need it. I your LO still rejecting your boob?

Tee2072 · 23/05/2009 13:04

Back from hairdresser. I feel great. No more grey and I have red spikey bits! So don't look 40!!

wonderwitch I am also happy you are feeling more positive. Good nights sleep always helps.

JW won't know any more about CS/Induction until I see OB on 2nd June. I am going to push for a CS, after all the induction horror stories I've heard! Especially if baby is another two poundish by then. That'll make it nearly 8lbs at 37 weeks!!

JJ let us know what docs say. Sounds horrendous. I hope you still get to go to the wedding.

mrsb those toys are lovely! May have to give the site a good look over.

Time for my afternoon nap! Talk to y'all later!

ermintrude13 · 23/05/2009 15:58

Gorgeous sunshine here, busy domestic day really taking it out of me. DC going for sleepover at friends' house tonight so DH and I may go for a meal and come back to watch a DVD eating popcorn. . He had big plans about going out to the movies but the showings we can make all start at 9 and I had to break it to him gently that I'd be asleep before the end.

May not get a chance to get online later so JW hope tomorrow's NC goes swimmingly!

mrsboogie · 23/05/2009 16:15

yes jw hope tomorrow is a lovely day for you all and please don't forget to put a pic of little missy in her finery up on facebook!

heron22 · 23/05/2009 16:51

mrsboogie · 23/05/2009 17:25

Tee2072 · 23/05/2009 17:33

Our last one, probably for awhile, was last Sunday. Star Trek movie and out to dinner.

iris66 · 23/05/2009 19:35

heron hope you have a fab time Careful though hon - last time we did that I got pregnant again!!!!

just put the boys to bed after an impromptu mini barbecue courtesy of DH (bless him - think he was missing his red meat - we have ahd rather a lot of chicken and pasta/rice lately ) loads of food on the garden now for the birds and the boys had an absolute ball soaking each other after i filled their sand pit with water.

jw look forward to seeing the pics and hope all goes swimmingly for you at the NC

now going to stuff my face with G&B choc icecream and generally slob. night all

heron22 · 23/05/2009 19:55

iris nothing like that willhappen tonight cos after meal and wine and dessert, all i want is sleep! i promise you! been hectic all day. DH was out riding his bike all day and i was left with 2 kids. so not in mood for any hankypanky, iyswim.
but will enjoy the food!

heron22 · 23/05/2009 19:56

mrsb i got that HIPP night milk and ur right, it is quite thick.

johnworf · 23/05/2009 21:15

Evening all. Lordy, I'm tired. Both myself and DH have been at it all day - ooh errr missus! Housework I'm afraid. We're getting there and it looks ok. But omg, the food arrived and there was far too much for our fridge It's now resting in various fridges throughout Bury. May have overdone it a tad....ah well, that's our teas sorted for the next week. The cakes look good though and I fear I'll have to sample some. Christening cake is beautiful and no way will it go into my little cake boxes I spent ages making.

I shall indeed post some pics of her ladyship when I have some. Many thanks for your kind wishes for tomorrow.

Never tried anyother baby milk apart from the Nutriprem 2 that K is on so can't help on the HIPP front.

mrsb Those toys are tres cute! I'll have to investigate the site more thoroughly when I have a minute. Hope D is behaving himself and I'm very that you're escaping with your OH for an adult night out.

Today's weather has been a mixed bag of cloud and sun but I think tomorrow will be the nicest day of the weekend...hopefully!

I've fallen in love with this. AIBU?

Tee2072 · 23/05/2009 21:22

Good luck tomorrow JW. I can't wait to see madam in her finery! Bummer about the cake boxes.

As for me...having nachos when I already had heartburn was probably a bad idea.

mrsboogie · 23/05/2009 21:48

duchesse YANBU in the slightest - its lovely!

Tee2072 · 23/05/2009 21:55

duchesse I love it!

duchesse · 23/05/2009 22:10

Psst! They don't just do rabbits you know. Look here.

mrsboogie · 23/05/2009 22:23

oh I've already been looking

johnworf · 24/05/2009 06:21

Good moaning all.

That website is fab. Just been having a look at the lovely toys. Very tempted......!

Been up since 5am and can't even blame it on K as she's still in her cot, asleep. Just have lots to do today before I'm at hairdressers at 9. Already made a start though...much easier to get on whilst the rabble are still zzzzzzzz-ing.

Sun is already shining so I'm hopeful that it'll stay that way, at least until later this afternoon.

Both myself and DH went to bed just gone 10 last night as we were wiped out. Unheard of for him.

tee don't think that nachos are very good for heartburn Why not throw in some more spicieness and glug down some gaviscon as a chaser?!

I'm taking it by her absence that JJ managed to get to the wedding and avoid kissing anyone on the way Do hope your mouths are healing. It's bad enough having a mouth ulcer so yours must be awful. Do let us know how it all went though

Right, must be off and get my to do list out. Will catch up tonight when I've managed to throw the rellies out. Hope you all have a fabby day. xxx

Good morning all xx

Well I am feeling a bit better in myself, I actually slept alot yesterday during the day too as I felt so crappy with nausea and heartburn, think coz I had slept the night b4 it made me feel more exhausted, so last night I didn't sleep at all, some down to having slept so much during the day and also heartburn and not being able to get my self comfy due to massive hooters, I tried wearing my bra and the pillow, sadly it didn't work will keep on tryin tho.

Don't quite know where to start answerin you all

jeanjeannie
Wow redundant 7 times you poor poor thing, how awful it must have been. I know we will come thro this... eventually in my head but my body and everything else is just so scared, suppose its the not knowing that is the worst bit.

johnworf iris66 heron22 Tee2072

Yes it has helped alot sleeping, just wish I could do it a bit more regularly lol
I did try the pillow but I think it was too big, will either have to scout round and find a ickle one or find an old one an cut it up and make one to fit

mrsboogie

I have looked at the benefits website and I have also rung them, basically because of our situation they cant say if we will be entitled or what for unless we apply and give them all the extra info, due to him (still on paper at the moment until everything kicks in) owning own business albeit not been paid for 2 yrs and also his mum and dads mortgage is in his name so it will actually look (but isnt the case) that we wont be homeless, its quite a complicated situation.
Think the only way we will get it sorted is to go an sit down either at CAB or benefits place and just make sure we take plenty of refreshments to keep us going for the duration lol
Planning to to that sometime next week depending on how things go with DP when he goes in to close everything etc on tues.

JW

Just wanted to say, hope you have a fantastic day, here the weather looks like its going to be wonderful, keeping my fingers crossed its the same where u are

Huge hugs to all
xxXxx

hf128219 · 24/05/2009 07:03

Sorry to butt in here -but SIL is 41 in December, trying for baby for 2 years. What does she need to do?

Wonderwitch · 24/05/2009 07:30

Hi hf128219

Sorry I really don't know a lot about this, but I would have thought the best place for her to start is her GP they would be able to guide her through everything.

Hopefully someone else will be around soon to give you more of an idea

Sorry cant be more help

xx

FloriaTosca · 24/05/2009 07:31

Good Morning!
Lovely bright and sunny here, just perfect for the NC JW. I hope you have the most fantastic time...the most wonderful way to celebrate your gorgeous little miracle Princess K and the long, long way you have come in the last 12 months.Make everyone eat half a slice of cake as a toast and take the other half home on your lovely boxes ...I'll be round to help with the leftovers clean up whenever you want. Have a joyful day!

JJ I hope the clinic got you sorted and you are pain free and had a lovely time at the wedding.

Wonderwitch Glad you have had a little sleep and hope our tea and sympathy is relieving some of the stress. Have you got a materity bra or a sleep bra? Wiring won't help wth the discomfort. Hope you find the right sized pillow...I had a full-body pillow that saved my sanity...sadly I have already given it away to a pregnant friend or I would send it down for you to try but 2 old pillows sewn together to make one long one might work just as well. I hope the sunshine today brightens your day.

Duchesse That comforter is just sooo cute

Wonderwitch · 24/05/2009 07:42

Thank you FloriaTosca xxx hug xxx

Thats so sweet about the pillow thank you such a nice thought, but I am going try a few different things an see if I still have sewing skills.... yikes been a longtime now

I have a maternity bra ( not wired) i got the other day, needed to, having grown so flamin much so quick lol it is comfy but it hurts after wearing for a while on my ribs under boobs ( iv always had that prob with bra's) also think its coz i am so used to sleeping with out one.

Oh you all here definitely helped me you are all just so wonderful it also helped as my DP had a look ( not that I asked him to, off his own back) and read all the posts, I really think it helped him understand how I was feeling and he saw how lovely u guys are

Going now to sit our in the sun again, was out there for a while earlier, to give me lots of positive vibes.... hopefully

Have a great day all xxXxx

FloriaTosca · 24/05/2009 07:52

HF Lots of over 40s ttc sites (there is one on face book and a thread here on MN) reccommend 'pregnacare' suppliments to help get the body in good condition for pregnancy and 'preeseed' to help conception.I assume that as she has been trying for 2 years she has already seen her GP and been investigated for the usual infertility problems? If she hasn't she needs to make that a priority...lots of infertility problems can be quite easily solved...
Apart from that I personally used ovulation indicator strips to chart my cycle but found that getting hung up on 'correct times' put both Dh and myself off...just lots of sex and enjoying ourselves worked a lot better. Oh and a friend who had her son at 47 swore by laying for 30 mins relaxing after sex with raised hips (pillow under bum)worked for her.
... I hope some of that helps.

Tee2072 · 24/05/2009 08:54

Good Morning all

wonderwitch it just occurred to me that it was you I was chatting to at 3am! Man, baby brain for sure! I hope you eventually got back to sleep.

JW have a wonderful day. I hope the weather holds and that the Princess enjoys being the centre of attention. Not that she isn't that every day.

HF Lots of practice. Seriously, if she's been trying that long, she should speak to her GP about a fertility referral. Although she is too old for IVF (according the the NHS that is) there are other things they can do for her. DH and I did the ovulation sticks and such and were just beginning our IVF eval when I became pregnant. Good luck to her.

After a horrid nights sleep (yes, all my fault, shouldn't have had nachos, blah blah blah ) hoping to put together the Amby and the baby's toy box today. Mostly just enjoying one of our last quiet Sundays!
