jw you didn't exaggerate! I don't know how she has managed to keep that little lot hidden!

jj pop in and tell us how V passed the night. Hope all is well.

Planning to do nowt today except stay in and make the most of our time with the little man. Who has gone back to bed of course...

johnworf · 16/05/2009 11:25

Yeah tee. Doubt he'll believe they'll come off in the shower !!

OP posts:
iris66 · 16/05/2009 11:40

just did a huge post then lost it

jw your DD is absolutely stunning and I think her tattoos are fab

jj - OMG what an awful evening you had!!!! I hope V has recovered and that you managed to get some sleep. (DH has been away for a month btw - he's a pilot)

Tee - you look positively blooming lovely

jeanjeannie · 16/05/2009 12:40

Hi all. Not been able to get onto MN this morning...they really need some IT Elves to sort it out!

Verity is fine and dandy, thanks all for asking...but my nerves were shattered! Poor DP was in KFC getting the rats in a bucket when he found out....so he got some cake in M&S next door while he was there...we ate that! Checked on her constantly all night - so a bit frazzled. I never want to experience anything like that again....she just completely passed out, when all limp, no reactions - nothing. The paramedics said babies often do this with shock...they cry so hard, that they don't breathe out, so they black out and sort of 're-start' their system. There's no mark on her head, so it probably was shock, rather than a head injury - thank god.

tee you look gorgeous...that outfit clearly makes you one of the most stylish preggie women out there! I can see you're not going into smelly old joggers lightly!

neddie totally gorgeous foal....I want to put my nose into it's coat and rub my face - delicious! Great precise of the thread there...definately we should do that more often. Also fab scan pics of the LOs

jw DD1 is so beautiful, she really is. I say hats off to her for managing to hide that lot in the first place! Has she thought of becoming a spy?! I shall join you in watching Angels & Deamons at Xmas on the box...seeing a film is so out of the realms of possibility ATM. Like you - I thought the book was better than Da Vinci.

ermintrude a film with Welsh Chris and Alistair Campbell....let's do it. You sort out the script and I'll get in touch with their people...it'll be like Dan Brown on Ice

Right - both girls in bed - so that's my cue to clean the cooker. Rock 'n Roll

Tabitha8 · 16/05/2009 13:28

JJ Pleased to hear V is ok!
Hedgepig Nice comfy birth is all booked. I might pop tonight as there is nothing worth watching on TV on a Saturday.
Tee You are looking great. I'm so huge now that someone asked me if I were having twins!

Have you all heard about the first time mummy-to-be aged 66? I've decided to have my second when I'm 70 to snatch the record away from her.

johnworf · 16/05/2009 13:54

JJ so pleased to hear that Verity is back to her 100% self Babies. Who would have 'em? No wonder I'm grey.........now I remember all the scares they give you along the way to being grown up...and all the terrible scares they give you as grown ups!

Ok, can someone arrange my public flogging? I've just scoffed a whole bag of chocolate raisins. It's bad I know and I keep thinking that by this time next week I won't fit into my new outfit. But I don't care today. Think I'm a bit fed up and chocolate is the only vice I have left I'll sort myself out by tomorrow.

More rain and DH is watching the football. Now I remember why I feel fed up!

Oh yeah mrsb the cardigan that I posted link to t'other day, it came this morning Wow, mightily impressed with Monsoon's service for hunting down sold out sizes. It looks lovely but suspect it's on the big size for her daintiness. Ah well And, I noticed in the larger Next store last week they have some gorg little boys clothes. I did wonder at one point whether I could get away with putting K in some of them

OP posts:
jeanjeannie · 16/05/2009 14:25

LOL@Tabitha having baby tonight due to a dull evening's telly viewing

jw yep, that's one scare I don't want to go through again.

Oh I'll get flogged with you - I've eaten the most revolting cake...it was a sort of log roll thing, with meringue coating, slimy coffee cream, sponge, bits of marshmallow and nuts all over it. DP had the rest for breakfast

Awww, don't be fed up - think of how the long range weather forecast is saying that next weekend (weds onwards) is going to be beautiful - perfect timing for the NC! Good work Monsoon. I looked there yesterday - no cardi but looks like they solved your problem admirably

Another cuppa and more cleaning for moi! Verity has added 'thank-you' and then shaking her head and saying 'No' straight afterwards to her every-growing vocabularly!

johnworf · 16/05/2009 14:41

haha! FiL would be very proud of Verity and the 'thank you' and 'no' straight afterwards. All she needs now to finish the sentence is 'PEASANTS!'

Oh how I'd love to have a diet like your OH. Slimy log or not..........praps not when I put it like that

Not doing any cleaning today. I'm saving it all up for next weekend and for the NC. How slovely I hear you say. You'd be right! I just don't have the heart to blitz the house today and know that by tomorrow it'll be back to square one. I'm thinking that by Thursday I'll start cleaning out rooms one by one and hopefully have it cracked by saturday PM. However, I am writing my list of jobs to do for said NC.

And the award for dullness goes to ...JW. Well done (shakes hand). Fabulously dull...

OP posts:
jeanjeannie · 16/05/2009 15:00

Dull is the new exciting

Tee2072 · 16/05/2009 15:29

JJ so glad she's okay. Does sound like she scared the heck out of herself more than anything else. I am sure you had a horrid night. Have some more cake, you deserve it!

JW dull is good. Dull means nothing scary is going on!

Finally got those bathrooms clean! Off to soak in the tub for a bit before glaming myself for getting taken out to dinner by in laws. We are going to my favourite sushi place. Too bad I can't eat sushi!!

mrsboogie · 16/05/2009 15:30

very dull is the new exciting here too. Have almost got hearing back and am about to start cleaning the kitchen then make a very low fat chicken tikka using 0% Greek Yoghurt and passata as I have come over all experimental-like. Dunno why I bother as it won't make any difference.

good news on the Monsoon cardi jw that is a good service. I bet she looks a picture in the whole ensemble

We are downloading Burn After Reading t watch tonight - so a nice dose of Messrs Clooney and Pitt.

Speaking of which do we all know that the Brangelina is about to be no more?

iris66 · 16/05/2009 18:20

Tee hope you have a lovely evening out

I wonder how ladymac's getting on

and on that subject can we have a little round up of who's due next please? I can't find the last stats post and I'm having an OCD moment

I think it goes:

Onehitwonder 8 Jun
Tee 26 Jun
Tabitha Jun
Iris 6 Jul
Bonzodoodah Jul
Neddie Aug
Duchesse Sep

(sorry to those I've got wrong/missed out)

Tee2072 · 16/05/2009 18:47

You've got me right iris!

Can't speak for the others!!

johnworf · 16/05/2009 19:10

iris your due date is the same as my b'day so an excellent day to be born

Seems weird that it was myself, jj, mrsb, and hedgepig that were all compiling our due dates this time last year. JJ was first in May and myself and mrsb were September with hedgepig in October.

It's K's b'day week Thursday and I must say, it's gone pretty quick (although the first 3 months didn't).

tee enjoy going out before you're housebound like myself and all the other popped ladies. Soon, the outside world will become a mysterious place and you'll only find out what's going on in the outside by looking at the DM website. Scared yet?

Btw mrsb what's all this no more Brangelina? 'splain?

OP posts:
mrsboogie · 16/05/2009 19:21

well the goss is jw that he can stand no more of her craziness - she's been working on some movie half dead from starving herself and leaving him to look after the kids, then she goes bonkers if he tries to go anywhere or looks in the direction of another woman. So they've been living apart and the lawyers are gearing up for a big fight over money and the baby collection. Oh and she's moving to France. For someone so beautiful she seems to be desperately insecure.

Tabitha8 · 16/05/2009 19:40

Tabitha 1 Jun
Onehitwonder 8 Jun
Tee 26 Jun
Iris 6 Jul
Bonzodoodah Jul
Neddie Aug
Duchesse Sep
Gosh, that makes me first. Oh heck. I haven't popped yet. Does that mean I'll have to watch the Eurovision trashy-song contest? Is it possible to speed up a labour that hasn't even started?
Tee I admire you for being able to take a bath. I tried it, but just couldn't get comfortable.

Tee2072 · 16/05/2009 21:10

tab I've had no trouble lying on my back, so that's the perfect bathing position! Also, our tub is so deep, I do get some buoyancy, which is lovely!

JW I happen to enjoy being housebound. I have borderline agoraphobia, be glad to never leave my house again!

johnworf · 16/05/2009 21:10

I can't see those two splitting up. I dunno why, just can't. Always seemed very much into each other. What would I know? Angelina hasn't rung me in ages for a gab.

I'm wondering if fruit jellies count towards your 5 a day?

We're suffering watching Simon Cowell drivel....lordy. Tv on saturday really is pants. Obviously made for the saddo parents out there who are confined to house. I know cos I AM one. I mean, flower arranging while someone sings opera. That'll never catch on.

mrsb went in Next again today with DD#1 and their boys stuff really is nice...had to have another look I can see your D in an Elmo t shirt.

Tabitha 1 Jun
Onehitwonder 8 Jun
Tee 26 Jun
ermintrude - June?
Iris 6 Jul
Bonzodoodah Jul
Neddie Aug
Duchesse Sep

Our ermintrude is popping in June me thinks!

tee have a lovely evening out and as jw says, make the most of it. You'll either not get the chance or not have the inclination once the LO is here!!

Angelina does sound quite nuts. I think Brad should go back to Jen...and create the Bradifer family....I bet she's not quite so crackers

tabitha we're watching the trashy Euro song contest...with a pile of M&S nibbles...*hands Tab a vol au vent and a mini chicken kiev. Is it me or is this not the Euro Song contest but Sing-a-long- of the Balkans?! Oh, not, wait a moment, there is some bloke from Denmark actually pretending to be Ronan Keating

johnworf · 16/05/2009 21:26

Is it me or is Philip Schofield going for world domination...or at least tv on a saturday night?

Eurovision looks pants the small snippet I saw. Had to prize DH's eyes away from Dita von Tits.

Think an early night beckons............

OP posts:
jeanjeannie · 16/05/2009 21:29

Ah, it was Dita von Boobies then...ah....slapper!

Tee2072 · 16/05/2009 21:30

The whole fun of Eurovision was how drunk Sir Terry got over the course of the night. Just not the same any more.

And, yes, ermintrude is also due in June. 2 weeks before me, I think.

ermintrude13 · 16/05/2009 21:58

That corset was something, eh!

Yes, JJ and Tee have it right, so thus far 'the list' goes:

Tabitha 1 Jun
Onehitwonder 8 Jun
Ermintrude 17 Jun
Tee 26 Jun
Iris 6 Jul
Bonzodoodah Jul
Neddie Aug
Duchesse Sep

So glad V is OK JJ, bet you can do without another night like that.

JW Your DD is beeyootiful, looks like she should be in magazines all the time

Went up north to meet youngest sister's prospective in-laws who are from Belfast and seemed lovely. My sis made some posh Nigella curries and I threw raspberries and passionfruit over the cream-piled pavlova so we all troughed a bit too much and I can't just pretend my indigestion is due to pregnancy .

Also - hope for us pregnant ladies - another sister's sis-in-law had her 3rd baby this morning at 37 wks. Felt a bit crampy at 4.30 so got into the bath while DH called the designated neighbour to babysit, made a cup of tea then went back upstairs to find wife on all fours on the bed having delivered the baby's head. The rest followed shortly - at 5.10. Midwife and ambulance arrived just afterwards to cut cord, clear up and weight the 9lb baby boy! 40 minute labour - we can dream.

mrsboogie · 16/05/2009 22:32

a 40 minute labour? tsk. that's just showing off. did she just snap open and closed, I wonder?

didn't see Eurovision but saw the corset courtesy of OH's corset radar - it was a bit eeuuwww and freaky IMO.

I think Brad would give his right arm to get back with Jen after being stuck with that other loon.

jw i have bought a few things from Next of late for D. I kind of get distracted in there though with all the oh so cute girly stuff...

Wonderwitch · 17/05/2009 03:47

Hi All,

Sorry not been on for a while, have been suffering a bit, it is now 3.10am and I am up yet again after going to bed absolutely knackered at 11pm. I'm just not being able to sleep for very long ( 5 hrs max) without having to get up for a drink/ wee and then I'm awake an cant get back to sleep, or I just wake for no reason and cant get back off.

I am getting some very strange things going on and wondered if you might be able to put my mind at rest a bit while I wait to go and see the midwife on the 27th May or if you think I should go sooner?? oh I am 8 weeks PG today.

Here is the list...

Normal/Fairly normal ones:

  • Backache if i stand or walk for more than 5 mins
  • Extremely sore boobs have grown from B cup to DD in 3 weeks
  • nausea/ sickness
  • teenage spot breakout
  • exhaustion/ lethargy
  • aches/pains

What I am finding strange:

  • After walking for a little while, get white blobs in front of my eyes, blurry vision accompanied by feeling very unwell and exhausted, sweating.
  • tingling, pins and needles and numbness in hands and fingers, normally after the vision thing has happened.
  • extreme itching at night all over body, feels like someone is poking me with needles, makes me jump to scratch. ( sometimes during the day, not as bad tho)
  • having to drink constantly, always thirsty and get very dry throat if don't drink.

I have searched a bit on the web but the things it came up with i.e. Carpal tunnel syndrome, gestational diabetes, it says come on later in pregnancy.

Am I just feeling/ noticing more as I'm slightly older or am I a hypochondriac ( sometimes feels like it), I just feel like I'm moaning all the time but also worrying myself now if its all normal or not, I don't want the doctor to think, oh god heres another neurotic PG mum so I am trying just to wait until my appointment on 27th with midwife.

It's all making me feel so down and tearful, so sorry to have gone on, I just want to know what's going on and if I am making a fuss over nothing.

Thanks everyone for listening, didn't know where else to turn

xxXxx
