The old thread was getting impossibly slow on my computer, so decided that it was time to create a new one with hopefully Rah and Ready joining us, and with a whole new due date list.....

so MrsM, Momwi - come and start the list and hopefully Rah and Ready will come here now too!!!!!

I am so excited that the temp buddies are back together again, can you tell?!?!?!?

Hey ladies thanks for all your good wishes, we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of Xavier?s birthday and he had a lovely time with his little pals at his party I just can?t believe that my baby is 1!!!

Imamummy ? it is very odd trudging down the pg path again isn?t it?

Minxi ? wow, not long left now! Exciting! I shouldn?t think I?ll be prepared for B2?s arrival either my PIL return to Scotland tomorrow, they have been here for 6 weeks and my MIL is coming back with some girlfriends the week before I am due, she was busy telling me how many weeks it was and I had to make her be quiet, it was too scary!!

Ready ? glad all is well and that you are getting a nice bump

Chooster ? sorry no card yet but thanks for sending one, lovely of you Xavier will love it when it arrives, I have put his cards and balloons in his room and he spent his whole nap time singing to them instead

Rainbowdays ? I am sorry hon, sending huge hugs xxx Thank you for letting us know about Rah send her our love.

Hi Scorpio

Chooster · 26/01/2009 13:18

Sorry to hear that rainbowdays - Take care and give your 3 an extra big hug x

babylove123 · 26/01/2009 19:23

Hey ladies.

Blimey - i must say that i thought i did well with the resuming of the bedroom actions with 7 weeks.....you've put me to shame! Damn u women must have missed your DP's/DH's!!!!

Happy birthday to Xavier and Cassius. Sorry i missed that.

Rainbow - sorry to hear of your news. Am sending you positive thoughts incase it helps a little bit.

Well last weekend was a shocker. AF came back to haunt me - god i forgot how painful it is! Its like being in early labour all over again! I started being sick...etc Sat night and thought it was part and parcel but obv not as yest i had a raging temp and felt awful. I just wanted to curl up in a ball and sleep and of course - thats not possible! DP went to work today and DD bless her let me have a lay in till 10.30am but i got up and felt like i could pass out. The day was a bit of a blur with nausea and nappy changes!

DD did have her first jabs today. DP came too luckily. I didnt look - chose to hold her instead. Man did she scream. It was the 2nd one that was awful, the nurse said it stings them. I didnt get as upset as i thought i would and with some good planning from me, i managed to time her feed in with her apt so as soon as she was dressed again, i shoved her bottle in her mouth and thats the last we've heard of it! Shall be doing that again!

She has slept a LOT today so i dunno whether shes feeling a little poorly like mummy

Hey to everyone

MrsMcJnr · 26/01/2009 20:14

Babylove - you don't have mastitis do you? I remember feeling like that but not really being able to explain why and then I saw the tell tale red segments on my boobs.

iamamummy · 26/01/2009 21:05

hi ladies

feeling totally wiped today and in a lot of pain with my back just hoping its down to lifting oscar up all day long.

mrs - it is very odd being pregnant again, but i feel so much more relaxed this time and not so worried about the birth etc. although pretty peeved at the new system in our area scan not until 14 weeks and they dont start listening to the heartbeat until 24 weeks so Xavier is a singer too....thats what oscar does constantly it sounds beautiful, we have taight him twinkle twinkle and he hums the tune...dont know where he gets it from what are you doing about the buggy situation when b2 comes along?? me and dp cant decide

babylove - sorry about af, shes a pain isnt she! mine came back with vengeance after ds too but after a few months they settled down.

asda is doing a 2 week thing for babies and we got a box of 133 pampers for 12 pound and a buggy for 25 pound! bargain!

Bodkin · 28/01/2009 20:50

Hi all

A very belated happy birthday to Cassius and Xavier! Sorry I missed them but hope both your little chaps had a lovely day and enjoyed plenty of CAKE!

Rainbow sorry to hear your news. Must have been quite a rollercoaster of emotions for you.

Ready - I expect it is movement you are feeling you know... mine always felt like little tiny bubbles of gas in the early days... it was only when they got a bit stronger that I realised what it was. Your bump sounds lovely, in fact I just had a look at your profile (rather optimistically) in case you had put a picture up! I was very chuffed to see that School of Rock is one of your fave films too...Celloooo! What is the little drawing you have on there - is that one of yours? It's lovely.

Iamamummy - Oscar's singing sounds fab! What a little sweetie!

Babylove - hope you are feeling a bit better now - it's grim being ill when you've got little people to look after too.

Ok, must have bath and early night tonight. Am shattered! This bloody school run business is knackering!

rainbowdays · 29/01/2009 10:37

babylove - hope you are feeling better, and as MrsMc says, are you sure you don't have mastitis?

hi everyone else, got to go, Jak calling me!

greedygreedyguzzler · 29/01/2009 13:44

hello all. hope everyone is ok (especially you rainbowdays)

feel like i have missed so much on here recently. minxi you were right, life is hectic at the moment and to be honest i completely forgot to check on MN for a few days which is very unlike me!

sorry i missed the boys birthdays.............it is really starting to scare me how quickly life is whizzing past.

ellis and marcy have both had ANOTHER sickness bug. marcy did the 3 most spectacular pukes ever last night! i have never seen so much (or been covered in so much) sick! it was delightful! she has done nothing but sleep today either bless her. i had to wake her up at 8.30 to take the other 2 to school and then she fell asleep again at 9.15 and then i had to wake her up again at 11.15 to pick up kiki. she is back asleep ahain now too and i will have to wake her up again to pick ellis up soon. and all my regular 'mum helpers' at the school are off with their sick children so nobody to help out!

anyway enough moaning from me!

i would like a list of due dates please!!! so i can keep track.

better go and play with kiki bless her, she has been a bit ignored recently with the other two being ill.

honeyapple · 30/01/2009 13:23

yikes they've changed MN again- not sure i like it ...

Greedy- well I have just had the worst sickness bug ever- lying on bathroom floor cant move kind of thing- nice- anyway am slowly recovering but it has really wiped me out. DS1 got it- but fortunately not so bad and so far touch wood the others have escaped- however my poor mum came to look after kids and my dad rang me today to say she was being sick in the night- feel really bad- but I guess that is being a mum! Put your kids first- even when they are grown up!

cant get my head together with new look MN... put me all in a dither...

Chooster · 30/01/2009 19:07

Aaah, new look MN!! Sure we'll get used to it - I'm too old for al this change .

Just a quickie from me as we are off to chicago tomorrow and have so much to do! urrgh, and feel faintly sick at the prospect of leaving the kids so so long, maybe its because we're going to be so far away too . Am sure it will all be fine though .

Hope all the sickness bugs are passing though - nasty things!

Speak to you in a few days!
x

honeyapple · 30/01/2009 19:49

have a great time chooster- try to relax and enjoy lots of non-children activities! will it be freezing in chigago? Mind you there is said to be snow coming this weekend here...

honeyapple · 30/01/2009 19:50

chicago even

MrsMcJnr · 30/01/2009 23:05

Wow what?s going on here? A new look MN don?t like change I feel sorry for all you with very cold weather ? today was fabulous here, 19c and DS played on the beach albeit in jeans and a jumper!

Chooster ? have a fabulous trip your card arrived and DS adores it thank you!

Hope everyone is feeling much better xx

greedygreedyguzzler · 31/01/2009 10:21

19 degrees! thats just NOT fair! my poor old hands are so dry and chapped from all this horrible cold weather i want some warm sun!

chooster - i hadnt realised it was so soon that you were off. have loads and loads of fun! i am very jealous................you can have lie ins, and sex in the afternoon, and conversations without being interupted............ENJOY! the boys will be fine, you know they will!

honey - hope you are all recovered now. i am desperately hoping that ellis and kiki escape cos dh is away for 3 nights from tomorrow and i dont want to have to cope with ill children on my own! obviously i dont want them to get ill for their sakes either, but mainly i am being selfish!!

babylove123 · 01/02/2009 20:44

Hi Everyone.

I see my sickness bug has swept you all! Glad i could pre-warn you on that

It was a real bugger, felt crap for 4 days in the end and couldnt eat anything - now i remember why i didnt like pregnancy!!!!

Hope everyones ok, we went to visit DP's family this weekend. Was a hard visit, glad to be home! Had to cut it short because of the threat of snow! I've just looked outside and it has started - eek!!!

Oh and cant say im keen on this MN too! The thread is backwards!!!

honeyapple · 02/02/2009 09:59

snow snow snow...
and school closed...

greedygreedyguzzler · 02/02/2009 18:16

snow here too. lots! and school closed too and no dh! . he is in Austria, meant to be back tomorrow but im not holding my breath!

ellis and kiki played in the snow for ages today. they LOVED it! marcy had a bit of a wander around and looked thoroughly confused by it all and then had a go on our sledge and looked even more confused and then sat in her buggy for a bit and watched us make a snowman...................then started crying and wanted to come inside in the warm!

wanted to take the big two proper sledging down the big hills over our park but it would have been too tricky with the buggy and no dh. these babies make everything harder work dont they!? so the big two missed out a bit, but i think they were happy enough with the hill down our road.................i fancied a big slope though!

anyway...................bathtime chaos awaites!!

iamamummy · 03/02/2009 10:36

hi ladies

well oscar was not fond of the snow - mostly beause he did not want his shoes on we got a few little pics of him playing which is nice to put in his album.

feeling very sick here and totally shattered - due to oscar being awake ALL bloody night!!

cant believe he will be one on friday, the grandparents are making him a cake together so that should be interesting....we are just having a little tea party celebration with family.

how are you all? sorry some of you have been hit with this sicky bug doing the rounds.

mrs - of you and ds on the beach! you have to rub it in dont you just kidding!!

love to all xx

babylove123 · 04/02/2009 10:54

Hi All.

Hope everyone is well? Ive been having kittens with DP driving to work in the snow!!!

Did anyone see the ladies that own mumsnet on breakfast on BBC1 this morning? I didnt see much but i was like "ooooh - i use their website"

Can i ask when yours started teething? DD is 9 weeks old but i think she is starting now. They've not come through but i think shes suffering with the pushing. Shes constantly chewing her hands and is very grizzly at times......

greedygreedyguzzler · 04/02/2009 21:00

just a quickie..........babylove, seems a bit early for teething, but could be i guess. chewing hands can be them just discovering something new, or hunger, or teeth or just something to do! grizzly......well, thats just babies isnt it!? from my experience you can really tell when they are teething cos they get bright red hot cheeks and dribble for england! mind you having said that ellis dribbled ALL the time anyway and marcy seems to have permenant rosy cheeks (not hot though) so its all a bit of a guessing game!

held a 4 week old and then a 4 month old today so im feeling a bit broody again........

cityangel · 04/02/2009 23:45

OMG so sorry I haven't been checking in with everyone.... run ragged

Ready I am soooooo excited for you
so is dh

off to bed with a big grin

honeyapple · 05/02/2009 10:36

hi cityangel- how are you?

Babylove- have to agree with greedy- unlikely to be teething at 9wks- babies do just munch on their hands cos it is something to explore. I think a lot of grissliness is often put down to teething- but have to say that when truely teething it is a big difference- bright red cheeks constant drooling and biting and miserableness!

dEX HAS JUST DEVELOPED A bath phobia- he screams if you put him in the bath- wont sit down- so I am going to have to avoid baths for a bit I htink until he feels happier about them! babies are weird! He has always loved having a bath

got his MMR today- third attempt...

greedygreedyguzzler · 05/02/2009 14:53

bath phobia, how strange! lets hope it doesnt last! kiki had a really bad balloon phobia when she was about 1 and couldnt even be in the same room as one without freaking out and screaming until we took her or the balloon out! it lasted for a few months and childrens parties were a complete nightmare. nobody believed me how bad she was until they witnessed it! we had to do that thing that psychiatrists do for phobias but i cant rem what its called..............saturation therapy or overload therapy or something...........and we got loads of balloons and left them all over the house until she stopped freaking out about them! maybe you will have to do the same with dex! fill your house with water and rubber ducks till he gets over it!!

hiya cityangel............see the things you miss when you go AWOL!

Chooster · 05/02/2009 21:00

hi, just a quickie to say hi! Love the idea of balloons all over the house, glad that Kiki got over it otherwise that could have sent her over the edge . Strange about the bath honey, I'm sure he'll be fine after a few stinky weeks .

Mrs - Wow 19C, that sounds fab! Much better than Chicago which was frrreeeezzing!!! It was about -11 degrees when we got there and it didn't really pick up. I think the last day it got to almost -20 or something ridiculous like that! But its a very dry cold so not as bad as I thought.

Anyway the trip was great fun although DH was struggling a bit because our pals have got a dog. It hadn'e occured to us that it may cause a problem but in the last 6 months the GP, after 5 visits, has diagnosed DH with late on-set asthma, which apparently he has picked up after a flu-type virus he had last year. He's still been coughing but has his inhaler now which helps, but this dog made it SO much worse. He was really struggling with his breathing a lot of the time when we were in their house and our clothes were covered in dog hair too from the car where the dog is a frequent passenger. It was a shame that it caused a dampner on an otherwise good break. The kids were fine as well although MIL and FIL left as soon as we got back to a well earned rest .

Hi to everyone else! Better head off as ahve got some work to catch up on (Grrrr) xx

iamamummy · 06/02/2009 08:13

hi ladies

oscars birthday is officially ruined cos of this damn snow.

we were supposed to be having a little tea party with family and nobody can get here, he hasnt even got a cake as his grandparents were making it and they are completely snowed in in their village. im so upset, i know it cant be helped but its his first birthday......ive been in tears all morning (probably the hormones i know) sorry just needed to come on here and get it out!!!

enjoy the snow everyone!
