The old thread was getting impossibly slow on my computer, so decided that it was time to create a new one with hopefully Rah and Ready joining us, and with a whole new due date list.....

so MrsM, Momwi - come and start the list and hopefully Rah and Ready will come here now too!!!!!

I am so excited that the temp buddies are back together again, can you tell?!?!?!?

Hey everyone.

Really nice to hear all of your news

Had a nice day with my mum and DD today - went and bought some paint.....anyone remember me in late pregnancy saying i wanted to decorate every room? You all said it was nesting......! Obv not! Just a desperate need to do something with the magnolia! No offence to anyone who likes magnolia....just a bit sick of EVERY room being that colour!!!

Gotta ask....how long before how shall i put this... "resumed things in the bedroom" after your birth? Hope u dont mind me asking - you seem like down to earth women!!!

Chooster · 22/01/2009 10:30

Mmm, never heard of viking, but that doesn't mean they'll be rubbish. Maybe try tripadvisor to see if there any reviews? Villa sounds good! . When are you going?

Hi babylove - Well, we kind of kicked things off again after Max about 5 weeks after he was born... But with Theo it was probably 3 months or something like that, we were just more knackered and had less time, and I was probably less interested as well .

After all the chat around MMR, Theo finally had his yesterday - This was our 4th attempt as every other time he's not been well. But it went fine and he was very perky after it. Apart from hitting the HV with a toy after she did the first injection . He's going through a 'bashing' phase and if he gets hurt he whacks the person closest to him even if they weren't the cause! Anyway, she was the cause so he wasn't best pleased for a while! . But he has no fever of anything so far so I hope that keeps up.

scorpio1 · 22/01/2009 10:32

babylove - the first time after the birth you mean? ds1 was 10 weeks (partner issues - he is not my husband you see)...ds2 10 days and dd 11 days.

Ready - wow fantastic! Its such a beautiful noise. [broody]

honeyapple · 22/01/2009 12:28

blimey scorpio- 10 days!!

With DS1- waited 6 wks for after my checkup cos had stitches- ouch.

With DD- 2 weeks (thought that was good- but not in comparison to Scorpio! )

DS2- about 8 weeks - I had some retained placenta which meant I bled for longer- so we waited until it had stopped completely as had had some nasty clots etc.

I think it really depends on how you are feeling.

chooster- glad Theo was ok with MMR. Got Dex's on monday- must try to remember...
Will look at tripadvisor...

Chooster · 22/01/2009 12:32

God, I was in no state to even be that interested in sex within 10 days! Good on you Scorpio .

By the way you mentioned your DP is training for some fights - does he box / do martial arts?

scorpio1 · 22/01/2009 12:34

(he is my DH )

yes he is very into Thai Boxing, Muai Thai. He fights in shows etc and trains all the time... . He has 6 fights in the first half of this year already. its good for him to have a hobby i think and keeps him looking fit - maybe thats why it was 10 days

scorpio1 · 22/01/2009 12:35

he is hoping for a title late this year

(ds2 birth was very easy indeed btw; thats prob why)

fettle · 22/01/2009 12:52

Sorry no time, but 10 days!

At least 3 years after DD and still not now....... (I'm joking BTW!!, but I really can't remember - it was ages after Toby due to downstairs issues post-birth though!).

Now I'm late for Pilates

greedygreedyguzzler · 22/01/2009 15:15

first time - 2 weeks for messing but no penetration (stitches still sore), 3 weeks for penetration.
second time - 2 weeks for full on rumpy pumpy (no stitches)
third time - prob about a month (no stitches, just exhaustion!)

honey - i love owners direct! we got our villa from them last year. it was called 'earl grey'.....not the same as yours is it? where is yours? long transfer or not? might let you do all the research and find somewhere perfect and then book it for the week after! we are trying to decide at the moment where to go? anyone know anything about malta or sardinia?

fettle · 22/01/2009 16:18

Greedy - Malta is lovely - but not great sandy beaches I seem to remember. Was a long time ago we went - 2 weeks of alcholic blaze and came back pg if you get my drift!!!!

fettle · 22/01/2009 16:22

sorry - computer ran out of battery!

Meant alcoholic haze!!

driving is pretty hazardous I seem to remember - we didn't hire a car, but went on a few tour operator organised tours and I was amazed by the lane hopping and general bad driving techniques. Was quite glad to sit in back and shut my eyes!!

But we did have a great holiday - (our last proper on without children! and we finally conceived after 2 years of trying there - something to do with a fertility goddess or something, so be careful if you go!!!).

greedygreedyguzzler · 22/01/2009 16:59

OOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooo you have made me want to go now fettle. i would quite like a 'happy accident'! although i only think that today cos marcy is such a cutie at the moment and i dont really mean it!

put marcys name down for pre school today. seems strange and wrong doing that so young, but they take them from 2 which is only a few months off really!!! (okay, quite a few, but im planning in advance!) only one morning a week for 2 1/2 hours.......................my little baby is growing up too fast.........

rainbowdays · 22/01/2009 18:38

greedy - we went to Malta on honeymoon, wonderful place, and yes I remember a fertility thing there, did not work for me though! I might have been on honeymoon, but I was ill before going (ill for my wedding), so the first few days were a bit of a blur, but loved it there.

babylove - I have no idea when dh and I restarted normal relations after our first baby. It was probrably a few weeks though as I had stitches!

got to go put the children to bed now, might catch up more later.

Chooster ? think I remember you discovering that Theo was a boy actually let us know how the sleep clinic goes. Glad the MMR went well need to look into Xavier?s

Bodders ? lovely affection for your DD I?m REALLY showing was talking to a woman today who is due with twins at the same time as me and I am double the size Really looking forward to my massage this afternoon

Babylove ? went to school with a Leyla (spelt Laila) didn?t like her much but it is a nice name! Hope DD has settled down after her bad day on Tues. On the sex question, still hadn?t got round to it by my 6 week check I had had stitches not that I noticed them much but we were both so knackered!

Rainbowdays ? if you only ovulated on CD32 it might be too early to get a BFP, fingers crossed for you!

Honeyapple ? enjoy finding a suitable holiday destination. It is tricky with the Euro, everyone is feeling the pinch here. Oh dear on the Dex sleeping front that said, we parents will do anything to get them down won?t we? Hope the MMR goes well.

hi ladies

had my booking in appointment yesterday which was very deja vu like seemed like only a while ago i was there announcing my pregnancy with oscar...

feeling absolutely shattered last few days but no sickness yet told a few close family members and they are thrilled which is the complete opposite to what id thought they would be.

thankyou for all of your congratulations too xx

ready - so pleased you heard babys heartbeat, amazing isnt it?!

babylove - we messed about after 2 weeks but didnt do the full works until 5 weeks mostly because i was just too scared, however it was fine! just do it when you feel physically and emotionally ready.

chooster - hope theo is ok after his mmr. lol at his bashing phase! we went to a friends house today and my friends ds who is 15 months took a toy off oscar and my gosh did oscar give him a whack! (i kind of found it funny however i did hold it together and tell him no infront of my friend, he just never does things like that!)

honey - hope dexs mmr goes ok too! are you taking him? im such a wimp that dp has to take ds as i hate needles

babylove - glad all is getting better with DD it takes a while...oh and think we did the deed about 3 weeks or so after and I had c-sec's!!

ready hope all going well and you are looking after you and baba... when have you your 20 weeks scan - are you going to find out ?

chooster - hope theo ok after mmr, usually takes a week or so for the virus to come out so he may be off for a day or so then..soon goes though!

mrsMc - LOL at comparing yourself to someone expecting twins - can't believe you are over 20 weeks alrerady - time is flying by and happy birthday to Xavier for tomorrow hope you have a great day and the sun is shining. Hope your feeling better too x

Seaside sorry missed you - happy belated birthday to Cassius and enjoy your holiday - hopefully hear another bfp on your return..

Rainbowdays any news / sign of anything happening with you... hope all is well.

Fettle love the name lexi. Hope you are enjoying being a full time mum - time does seem to pass you by and you wonder how you fitted in working too!

honey - hope all is well and dex mmr went well!

Greedy Hope all is okay with you - everytime I read what is going on with you and yours it always seems quite chaotic and always a laugh!!

scorpio - broody again and then read the 10 days - surely that must be a record for most people - might try and google it and see what the earliest would be - could be quite shocking!

Oh and Rah where are you - hope all is going well for you...where are you ???!

All fine here - 5.5. weeks left and still not very prepared, think its because I have the date booked in and so can't imagine baby coming early - for those of you who asked earlier had emer c-sec with DS1 (8 years ago) and elec DS2 (5.5. yrs ago) and I don't know what this baby is!! except it is very busy and lively inside...very excited boys can't wait and neither can I now!! Well must get ready as have to take DS's to football practice/match... will be back soon as am trying to juggle more time ! Still trying to exercise with aqua classes 2 - 3 times a week and running around after 2 boys is crazy sometimes!!

Have a lovely weekend all

Ready · 24/01/2009 14:15

Hi ladies. I can't keep up with you all! I used to be such a mumsnet professional

I am 16+2 - and have started to show. The midwife said I had a lovely neat bump, which pleased me, as I was starting to worry about showing so quickly.

We are not going to find out the gender at the 20 week scan, we want to keep it a surprise. Much to everyone's disappointment ;)

I am talking to my bump lots - especially when I am on my own in the car

I haven't felt anything yet, or at least, when I think I do, I convince myself it was just wind . I am really looking forward to feeling some movement!

Well, enough of my waffle. I better go and get on with something productive. I hope everyone is just dandy

PS. 10 days!! You go girl

Chooster · 24/01/2009 15:16

Happy Birthday Xavier for today and Cassius for earlier in the week... Hope X got our card mrsmc - I hope I haven't underestimated how long it will take to get there .

rainbowdays · 25/01/2009 10:37

Hi all

Just a quick pop in here, to let you know that I got positive test yesterday and the day before, but then back pain yesterday followed by negative test today, so just waiting for the bleeding to start, but at least I have an answer now.

I have been in touch with Rah, she will be coming here once she passes the 24week point (in about 5 weeks!!!) as obviously, she feels happier waiting til after she gets past the point at which she had Bertie. But she is eager to be here then and promises to come with heaps of pregancy/ baby questions for us!

Sorry I am not here being a bit happier, but hopefully I will be back to my normal self soon.

scorpio1 · 25/01/2009 20:41

Seaside - you have a stokke Sleepi too don't you? (saw on profile). I don't have the mini-cot kit, but will want to use it for dc4. Do i need to get the mini cot kit - what is it? Cant you just remove the side panels and then rescrew it up, and buy a small mattress? Wondering what to do, especially as you cannot buy the mini-cot kit seperate, will have to look for a private seller on here or something.
