The old thread was getting impossibly slow on my computer, so decided that it was time to create a new one with hopefully Rah and Ready joining us, and with a whole new due date list.....

so MrsM, Momwi - come and start the list and hopefully Rah and Ready will come here now too!!!!!

I am so excited that the temp buddies are back together again, can you tell?!?!?!?

Hi all

Fettle - Many congratulations to your friend. What wonderful news!!!!

Thanks everyone for the advise on movements

I have a scan and consultants appointment tomorrow and will see how much she has grown.

Rainbow - I will probably come back to you on the EPO... sounds very beneficial and really hoping for no tearing! My consultant has discussed about a C-section or induction if I don't go naturally into labor before 37 weeks... but I want to try naturally I think. I will make up my mind closer to the time...SCARY!

Rainbow - Thanks for taking the time to post the extract from Dr Miriam Stoppard
I think the baby has got its self in a new position in the last three days as was getting really firm kicks and now its some taps and wriggling around near my public bone... god knows what she is doing.. so glad I'm having a scan tomorrow as could do with some reassurance that she has not managed to get herself in some weird position.... Yes still paranoid!

iamamummy - Hope you get your scan date soon. I phoned up in the end for my 20 week scan and they just gave me an appointment straight away... apparently the one lady that arranges them at the hospital had been off! ANNOYING!

Right next question - WEIGHT GAIN!
So in answer to your question Greedy... yep I'm blooming.... Blooming MASSIVE!
Im 26 weeks today and started off at 10st6 5f 7.5.... I am now (god so embarrassed) 12st 13 (today) I have put on 6lb in 2 weeks but he did inject me with steroids at 24 weeks. I also had a course of steroids from 5 weeks to 13 weeks. How much weight did you guys gain? How much do you put on in the 3rd tri? How much weight am I looking at putting on?
Last time with Bertie I put 1 stone on exactly and got to 24 weeks. So I am really beginning to worry about all this weight gain. Consultant says Im fine and its just me laying down fat for breast feeding! I will be breast feeding until they hit secondary school at this rate to get rid of the fat! Oh and my bum is now bigger than my bump!

Hello to everyone Xxxx

rainbowdays · 19/03/2009 15:10

Rah - sorry I had to laugh at your breastfeeding til secondary school!!!! . I never got weighed during my pregnancies and never felt the urge to know how much fat and baby weight I had gained. So I am sorry I can't help you on that one. I did have the steroids to mature the lungs with ds1 at 33 weeks, but dont remember it making much difference weight wise, but as I said I was ignoring the weight . I also was lucky enough despite being fat at the start of each of my pregnancies I carried each baby WAY WAY out front, so from behind I just still looked fat and not pregnant, people always got a shock when I turned around and they got the profile view . But my SIL's both got bigger bums than tums in their pregnancies!!!! Everyone it different, but you will manage to get back into shape (sort of in my case!) afterwards.

Chooster - did you get to see your cousins baby girl yet?

greedygreedyguzzler · 19/03/2009 20:11

rah! dont stress about gaining weight, just enjoy being fat!!! i gained about 2 1/2 stone each time and the first stone came off straight away after giving birth and then the other 1 1/2 was a struggle to shift, but i saw my friend the other day (with her 5 month old baby) who gained 4 1/2 stone when pg and she said the first 3 stone dropped off her in about 4 wks and she looks FANTASTIC now so i wouldnt stress too much!

as for tearing..............chooster, i have a few names i could call you involving buckets and vaginas...........never torn indeed................!
well, i tore the first time with my little 6lb 5ozer and then not the second (7lb 7) or third times (8lb 9) so i reckon you are much less likely to tear once your fanny has been stretched already! LOVELY!!

greedygreedyguzzler · 19/03/2009 20:13

oh, and congrats to friend of fettle! lovely news!

Chooster · 19/03/2009 20:50

ha!! I know greedy . Max was 8lb 4 and Theo 8lb 1oz and not a tear at all, they just slipped out .

I wouldnt worry at all Rah - I gained 4 st with Theo (no idea with Max), went from 10st to 14st ish by the time I had him. As Greedy says trhe first stone just fell away pretty much as soon as I'd had him and then the next stone and a half came off quickly. I had to work at the last stone and a half but am now back to 10st (well, 10st 2, but whats a couple of ounces between friends ) and Theo is 20 months. So really dont worry - it will all come back off again if you want it to, promise!

iamamummy · 20/03/2009 16:41

hi ladies

i had my first proper mw appointment yesterday. she didnt manage to get my bloods so have that to look forward to on monday when i see the consultant, but atleast she did confirm to me that he would give me my scan too so i was very [smile. i am starting to feel a little apprehensive about the scan and keep thinking negative thoughts...must try to stay positive.

thanks for all of your advice on tearing - rainbowdays in a few months time im sure il be picking your brains on the EPO!

rah - firstly do not get hang ups about your weight! with ds i put on a stone and a half and 2 weeks after giving birth i had lost it all. however then being a sahm i managed to put it all back on plus an extra stone which i am carrying around with this next one so lord only knows what my final weight will be.
have you got any names?

once again me and dp are having a massive boys name debate.
can i get your opinions please....

sebastian
herbie
travis
samuel

love to all xxx

greedygreedyguzzler · 21/03/2009 11:41

how about dexter?! or cassius? or xavier? or toby or theo?........all good names!!!

ScorpiowithabigS · 21/03/2009 11:45

I LOVE Sebastian. Other names i like and would use are Dexter & Mason. (with middle n of William)

I have a Reilly which some people spell Riley, lots of people like that.

greedygreedyguzzler · 21/03/2009 12:24

i liked mason, but now i know one who is v. naughty and spits all the time and that has put me off the name!!

rainbowdays · 21/03/2009 13:00

iamamummy - of those 4 names my favorite is Samuel. Love it and would use it if I could!

I am trying not to get too down at the thought of not being pg this year. I have one more go and then it would be 2010 due date, but don't want that

OP posts:
Chooster · 23/03/2009 20:31

Like Samuel... And how about Thomas, Oliver, Adam, Jake, Charlie... All of them go nicely with DS1!!

honeyapple · 23/03/2009 21:34

hi guys

sorry i have been awol again have had no computer for a while as it was being fixed.

rah and ready lovely to have you both here .

iam- i like herbie (would it be herbert though?) and travis. Samuel is lovely but too many about for me! Not such a fan of sebastian- although i like seb! I also like carter, keaton, arlo, monty, phineas, fergus...

greedygreedyguzzler · 24/03/2009 12:51

hi everyone! hope you are all good

rainbow - 2010 sounds like a fab year to be born! so spaceage and futuristic! i remember talking about the year 2010 when we were at school and drawing pictures of the sort of clothes we would all be wearing and what our houses and cars would be likecos it seemed so far in the future! cant believe you could have a child born then...........that would be COOL!!!

honey - hello! keep meaning to ask you how the modeling is going for dex? has he started dieting and throwing up after meals yet to keep skinny?

babylove- how is katelins modeling going too?

iamamummy · 26/03/2009 14:55

hi ladies

rainbow - dont stress out about not being pg as it will only affect u in a negative way. 2010 is a great year to be born but im keeping everything crossed for this month for you.

honey - glad you like herbie, think that is our top choice at the moment. it will be herbie and herbie only. we both liked toby but i told dp we cant have that as someone on my mn threads little boy is called that.

just popping in to say had a scan monday - all was fab with baby so im 13+4 today. 2 and a half weeks and we find out the sex wooo!!

honeyapple · 28/03/2009 12:41

BUMP!!

greedygreedyguzzler · 29/03/2009 18:17

thats lame honey.......bumpinig and not writing anything!!!!!

can i just share with you all how much agony i am in with a stupid ingrowing toenail! my whole toe has gone purple and is really hot and swollen and i know i need to get it sorted, but its so painful to touch i am scared!!!! what a wimp hey!!

rainbowdays · 29/03/2009 19:55

Greedy - uggg, at least honey just bumped and did not give us gorey details !!! OK so I hope you get brave and get it sorted soon.

iam - Oooh I look forward to hearing which flavour of baby you are having! Do you have a guess?

OP posts:
iamamummy · 30/03/2009 15:58

greedy - if its any consolation i suffer with them all of the time - and i literally have to (ok tmi) perform mini surgery each time with lots of blood and pain but id rather that than face the dreaded taking off of the nail completely. i just get sharp scissors and score it down the inside of my toe where the nail is growing and then prise it away from the skin and snip

rainbow - where are you in your cycle? no idea of flavour of babe as yet. dp thinks he predicted everything correct about ds but this time round he says he "doesnt have a vision"

ok apologies for the gross toe nail description

Chooster · 31/03/2009 11:18

Urgh, grim toe nail conversation... Is it sorted yet Greeds?

Iamamummy - Will it be a private sexing scan that you are going to? Very exciting!!! .

Been away in London since last Wednesday staying with friends and had a fantastic time. The boys were brilliant and played really well with our friends kids. Even the travelling there and back worked out really well. I was most worried about Theo waking up at night and being noisy but he slept through til about 9am every day . Our days were really busy so I guess he must have been knackered.

Hope you're all doing well!!!

Thanks for the birthday card MrsMc!!!! You are very organised

greedygreedyguzzler · 31/03/2009 12:34

hope you had a great birthday chooster! sleeping till 9am is obscene!

saw ellis and kiki in their easter assembly this morning. its the first one kiki has done and i didnt think she would join in cos she is so shy, but she did me proud! she was a fantastic hen!!

toenail still not sorted! i suffer a lot with them too iamamummy, but this is so much worse than i have ever had before i dont think i can face doing it myself! maybe i will ice it for a while to numb it completely and then have a go...............not looking forward to that.........i'll keep you posted on my toenails progress! when is your scan again?

iamamummy · 31/03/2009 16:11

greedy good luck - stick a lolly stick in ya mouth to bite down on and go in for the kill!

chooster - theo sounds brilliant! glad you had a nice time away.

scan is booked for the 18th of april and it is a private one as my hospital refuses to tell you the sex - dont thin id trust them anyway they are so crap!

greedygreedyguzzler · 02/04/2009 14:48

got my toenail sorted (i hope!!!) had it done by a professional in the end, i think i was just making it worse every time i attempted it! anyway, wasnt so bad afterall........dont know what i was making such a fuss about!!! afterall i have given birth 3 times!

i am (scarily) getting super broody again at the moment! i had a petient in the other day with a 24 yr old, 22 yr old, 21 yr old and 6 yr old...............and she said having a 15 yr age gap was great!!! so now i am considering waiting (not that long, but a while) and then having another one!!! i wouldnt really like to be much over 40 i dont think but that gives me another 4 years...........................so i could wait till marcy is 5.5, kiki is 8 and ellis is 9.5 and then have another one................what does everyone think? pros and cons please!!!

how are all our lovely pg ladies doing?

greedygreedyguzzler · 02/04/2009 14:49

babylove - think i annoyed one of your friends on facebook didnt i? sorry! i have kept quiet since then!

rainbowdays · 02/04/2009 20:19
