I had 18months between mine. But recently had a scare and my baby is only still a baby!
But i guess it must happen to some people, do they go ahead and how do they cope?

15mins???!?!??!?

but then I waited 5yrs!!

RGPargy · 02/08/2008 21:57

Not much help here - there's 18 years between my two!!

AbstractMouse · 02/08/2008 21:57

Well dd was 2 years 4 months when ds was concieved, 3y 1month when he was born.

onepieceoflollipop · 02/08/2008 21:58

3.7 year gap (by choice)

Some people seem to think it is a big issue that we had to start all over again with nappies, pram etc. We liked it that only one of the dds was so tiny and dependent and dd1 was more self sufficient by that stage.

I think that you just make the best of whatever situation you choose/find yourself in.

p.s. a friend of a friend has (apparently) a 9 month, 9 day gap between her dcs!

eidsvold · 02/08/2008 22:04

dd1 - dd2 was 2 y 4 months

dd2 - dd3 - 2 yrs 4 months. Did not plan it that way - just the way it happened.

Nemoandthefishes · 02/08/2008 22:07

2.2yrs between ds and dd1
12mths between dd1 and dd2

suwoo · 02/08/2008 22:07

4 years 11 months. Would do it again too- even a larger gap

ilovemydog · 02/08/2008 22:10

20 month gap. Not planned.

Feels like I've been either pregnant or breastfeeding forever.

madmarriedNika · 02/08/2008 22:11

2.2 yrs between my DC1 & DC2. Seems to work well, though ideally wanted them a little closer (20 months between my sister & I, and we get on really well- though fought quite a bit when little!)

I've a friend who had 17 months, 11 months and 2.4yrs between her 4- and although the 11 month gap was v v hard they are very close and now they are like a small tribe. I think personalities and how the parents handle the children account for a lot of how well they get on.... And also however hard you might plan for a certain gap nature has a way of thwarting those plans!

Minniethemoocher · 02/08/2008 22:12

There will be a five year gap, not intentionally, DH and I just have the fertility of pandas.....

gemprincess · 02/08/2008 22:18

4 year gap between 1st dd and 2nd dd
22 months between 2nd dd and 3rd dd
19 months between 3rd dd and 1st ds

Has been hard but mainly due to the fact that ds 1 has been quite poorly, i believe you cope with what ever is thrown at you. Just enjoy them.

12 months and 10 days (!!) between DS1 and 2; I found this gap v hard and would not recommend it.
4 years exactly between DS2 and 3 which made it a bit odd to be starting the whole baby thing again but I am able to enjoy DS3 more than I could No2.
Broody for DC4 but DS3 only 19 weeks old. On the other hand, I am 42 so cannot affort to wait too long if it is going to happen at all...

Grublin · 03/08/2008 10:23

Almost 18mths between DS1 & DS2
