Chickpea - but that was when it was the size of one. xx

rrrayray · 10/07/2008 19:21

Bean for us!

Was wondering, it REALLY has stuck, Surely we wont be calling it bean as a nickname when it appears?

Poor thing! xx

HarrietTheSpy · 10/07/2008 20:06

DD1 was Personne.

CuriousB · 10/07/2008 20:24

We had "Boo" for dd1 and "Sally & Betty" for the dts, although dd1 preferred to call them "pee pee & poo poo"

Glad they didn't stick!

beansprout · 10/07/2008 20:25

I'll give you one guess.....

ForcesSweetheart · 10/07/2008 21:15

Ginge up until the 20 week scan, as we were convinced he/she was gonna be ginger (due to my family history - but she isn't), then from 20 wk scan when we knew she was a girl LolaBump, a nickname that's stuck with her poor child.

accessorizequeen · 10/07/2008 22:28

ds1 was Davros once we knew he was a boy (Thrush for a girl), ds2 Hercules (Poirot) and dt's to be are Giero and CarTruckFireEngine. I really can't take credit for any of them, sadly.

Wilkiepedia · 10/07/2008 22:31

DS was 'Bubba' until he was born!

IdrisTheDragon · 10/07/2008 22:32

DS was Bump
DD was Mark 2

manuka · 10/07/2008 22:46

I called mine 'The Passenger' !

Strawberrymum · 10/07/2008 22:56

Danger... my dh said that he would like to give it as a middle name so he could have a good chat up line.
'Dangers my middle name'
It kinda stuck after that!

annie21 · 11/07/2008 08:10

My daughter was "Oblomov" She is 16 now and would be mortified if she knew!

DontCallMeBaby · 11/07/2008 08:37

Pootle Crouton after an inebriated* evening during which we (DH and me, and two friends) came up with the most ludicrous names we could think of. I can't remember a single one of the others, but Pootle Crouton stuck. A few people called her it after she was born though, and it was so so wrong ...

  • DH and the friends, not me!
kateandjames · 11/07/2008 08:59

called mine Fred , was tempted to call him that after he arrived but thought better of it.

BossladyB · 11/07/2008 09:13

Ethelraed.
He was conceived in Norway and it was the only Viking name we could think of.

JulieTwo · 11/07/2008 11:07

Number one was "Fred" ... and he became Freddy
Number two was "Sparkle" ... and she didn't! She'd have had to become a burlesque dancer with a name like that and at the age of 20 months she patently does not have the grace or elegance to make this conceivable!

melissa72 · 11/07/2008 11:25

mine is the 'space prawn' now - we started with the 'B thing' as we were to afraid to mention the word baby having been together 16 yrs child free.

kookycat · 11/07/2008 12:00

Mine was called named Buster by my older 2-which seemed really inappropriate as we were sure it would be another girl....how wrong could we be ! (and he is a right little buster!)

rokersmum · 11/07/2008 12:52

Miziman mine too was Horace for DS1! did not think i would ever find someone who had the same bump name.
It was so that my husband couldn't have the name for the baby but it has ended up as a middle name!

popsycal · 11/07/2008 12:53

ds1 the slug
ds2 didnt have a name
ds3 (still in there) jumpy jo-joj

hobnob57 · 11/07/2008 14:58

Hmmm. Feeling guilty.

The Monster.

Due to effect on me - dreadful morning sickness, raging appetite, crippled pelvis, almighty kicks and nocturnal nature.

She turned out to be lovely ;-)

SlicesMissus · 11/07/2008 15:47

We were calling her "bumpy" (didn't know at the time what we were having) or "baby adipose" after that Doctor Who episode aired cause with all the kicking it felt like the baby wanted to come out my stomach!

flapjacks · 11/07/2008 16:25

Mine bump was "Flapjacks" (for the same sort of reason as mrs macleod!!!). We still call him little FJ even now from time to time!

Naartjie · 11/07/2008 16:38

Spriggy, as in spriggy sprog.

bettythebuilder · 11/07/2008 16:52

dd was "Chiglet" because my family nickname is 'Chiggs'.
