SmudgeyDoodle · 08/07/2008 21:43

OOOh, gladders. DS was Smudge for exactly the same reason. This one (due Oct) is Doodle cos we thought we'd stick to the same theme.

Bobbin & Baby Seahorse

Lozza70 · 08/07/2008 22:09

Dancer, due to all the movement everytime we have a scan. Also Mackerel as that's what the 20 week scan pic looks like, a half eaten fish!

chefswife · 08/07/2008 22:29

moe-sheeshee. don't know if you had them in the UK. they were those monkeyesque things with string in it's head and dangle from a thin doweling and you bought them at the fair. funny little things. collector items now. or we call him little henry and sometimes with a (bad attempt) at a cockney accent. DH calls him little gaffer.

Jennylee · 08/07/2008 23:35

erm.. I call it creature and first baby was pod

izzybiz · 09/07/2008 11:35

When I got pregnant with this one, Dd was insistant that it was a baby girl, hwo we would call Rosie, so untill 20 week scan bump was called Rosie.

Since 20 week scan bump is known as BOB!!!
After Bob the builder apparantly!

rolymoma · 09/07/2008 11:41

the squatter

jenpet · 09/07/2008 11:54

DS1 was always hamster, as he was that size when I read an article about growth
DS2 due end of August has been Bernard since day 1 (?)

Cougar · 09/07/2008 12:25

LouiseAnn · 09/07/2008 12:43

Usually "baby", but offically named "Tiny".

MrsRigby · 09/07/2008 14:16

I'm currently 22 weeks pregnant with my first, we named it Wiggly after I started to feel it move at 12 weeks!

iBundle · 09/07/2008 14:52

dd1 was Hosni

slinkiemalinki · 09/07/2008 15:08

Mine's The Lad (so was my DD until the 20 week scan last time ... when she became The Girl... and still sometimes is!).

Sophee · 09/07/2008 15:53

My bump was always known as Des, and continued to be Des right up to the moment he was born, even though i knew i was having a boy and would never name him Des in reality. He then became simply 'baby' for a couple of weeks whilst a name was agreed on!

NomDePlume · 09/07/2008 15:56

DD was also the 'prawn' because DS1 said her scan picture looked like a prawn

KTP · 09/07/2008 16:15

DS was Mungo. Even toyed with it as a real name (delusional after f'ing long labour), but ended up calling the new puppy Mungo, so it was not lost!!!!

Nucha · 09/07/2008 17:51

Bambi - my husband chose this name right at the outset - before we knew we were having a girl. Then he bought me a bambi soft toy from Disney and it's perfect as the toy is ginger like my husband...as I'm dark skinned, I keep imagining her being tanned with ginger afro hair!!

cyteen · 09/07/2008 18:53

El Squid

mylittlepudding · 09/07/2008 19:07

Squiggle (for short) for my DD, and it was hard to drop after the birth. The long version, in case you were wondering, was.Squiggle iggle jiggle.

maxbear · 09/07/2008 22:06

Years ago I had a dream that I had a little blond boy called Billy (I'm quite dark), so my husband started saying 'when we have Billy, Milly and Tilly'

Well, we've had 'Billy' & 'Milly' so far, hopefully one day we will have Tilly too!

GrinningGorilla · 09/07/2008 22:09

DS1 was known as "mosquito boy" as I had to take anti malarial tablets at 9 weeks and had bad dreams he would come out half mosquito!

mrsmacleod · 10/07/2008 10:45

Biscuit - because I suspect that my bump consists entirely of all the biscuits I've eaten this pregnancy
