Peanut and 'his/her' mummy is the 'peanut bag' (carrier of the peanut)

Michaelah · 11/07/2008 21:13

Mine was called Cuthbert - as we struggled to agree ona name, I feared after a while it would stick!

We called her chastini, so many people thought that was going to be her name and were too polite to say, are you sure?!

elmoandella · 11/07/2008 21:30

bump 1 was elmo (ended up his middle name)
bump 2 was ella (knew it was a girl)

mummy2t · 11/07/2008 21:36

ds1 - peanut
ds2 - bubba

fizzybellasmum · 11/07/2008 22:06

Little Jimmy -who turned out to be a girl. It took 2 days to choose her real name!

Anngeree · 11/07/2008 23:29

Mine was "Baby Bop" as Westlife had the single Bop Bop baby out at the time & every time it was on the radio my bump moved. My son wasn't impressed when he found out i'd called him that as I later found it was the name of the green dinosaur on Barney.

howsitgonnacomeout · 12/07/2008 09:39

Lemmy- thoughts of a fast-living baby made us giggle when browsing the babynames books. Especially as it is abbreviated from 'Lemuel' meaning gift from god.

Our 4 year old nephew still calls our dd 'Lemmy'

beccablum · 12/07/2008 21:26

Our DD was "baby num nums" or "num nums" for short... and it has stuck (poor thing) since she was born 4 weeks ago... it causes all types of bemused looks.

Kateaw · 13/07/2008 07:30

Pubert

malfoy · 13/07/2008 07:44

DS -Cornelius
DD- Rufus

AhForgetIt · 13/07/2008 15:16

DS was Sproglet or Squidlet, this one is Cashew (looked a bit like a cashew nut at my scan at 11 weeks).

tinkhasagorgeousbean · 13/07/2008 15:33

dd1 - bee
this one - jumping harocote bean ( moving loads on scan)

Helen16 · 13/07/2008 19:30

Little One - self explanitory.

fifa · 13/07/2008 19:52

DD1 was spudulika as all i could tolerate the first few months was mash. DD2 was named Dave by DD1 when we went for our scans, think she misheard , "wave at the baby"

connyrabbit · 13/07/2008 20:19

Crumpet!!

puffylovett · 13/07/2008 20:36

my dp nicknamed ds shorty as we'd decided to be surprised but were convinced it would be a boy.

I never realised till I was about 38 weeks that that was gangster rap for child

I will forever be in kanye wests debt

winestein · 14/07/2008 14:00

Called him prawn and then pumpkin... and then when he emerged we called him Otto

mumove · 14/07/2008 20:12

Our baby boy was called 'Lumpty' from the moment we knew we were pregnant until the day he was born and we thought of a name.
My friend called her bump Sworfegar.

JDSTER · 16/07/2008 17:15

Ours was raisin, after reading in a book that the baby at ...weeks (can't remember now!)is the size of a raisin!!

helseybelsey · 16/07/2008 22:59

DS was 'The Pants' then 'Ickle Pants'(he was a small baby). I'm afraid at 8 yrs he is still sometimes 'Mr Pants' or in public 'Mr P'.

RedSLM · 17/07/2008 21:48

DD was Frodo due to the large hobbit feet kicking me at all angles. When she was born, DH sent a text message to all announcing Frodolina's arrival. The in-laws actually thought that is what we had named her!!!! they had privately decided they'd call her Flo instead. Thankfully, she is a Rebecca

laweaselmys · 25/07/2008 20:54

Grumpalump

'tis an accurate description so far.

laura325630 · 25/07/2008 22:37

Douglas!! We carried on with the name even when we found out she was girl!!!
