Sorry about the uncomfortable but glad about the kicks

I went in for monitoring somewhere around 40 wks as I was worried about movements slowing down - it does make you nervous doesn't it? As soon as I got strapped up to the machine of course he went wild

MrsJohnCusack · 15/07/2008 23:11

OH congratulations sweetkitty and butterfly! (can't wait to hear what you decide on the name butterfly)

and franny, I come specifically to check on you hatrick, and now the others on here. I am vicariously very excited for you and reliving my overdue days with DS.

my inlaws rang up/MSNed/emailed from the UK daily, every farking day from about 2 weeks before the due date to when I had him 2 weeks late. Towards tghe end I think I may have screeched in the background (I refused to talk to them, made DH do it) 'yes, we have a 2 week old baby, we just thought we wouldn't tell you, the grandparents, about it' .

hunkermunker · 15/07/2008 23:15

Congratulations, SK and Butterfly!

Franny, YANBU - "any news" calls drove me round the bend too. Especially when they woke me up to ask. Say "Oh, yes, did nobody call you? The twins are 15 weeks old now" next time...

AggiePanther · 15/07/2008 23:27

well done aggie!

FrannyandZooey · 16/07/2008 08:05

hooray Aggie - love Stanley also

just said slightly gloomily to dp "another one on my thread has had a baby" and too late he points out the disadvantages of starting an overdue support thread

am having another sweep today, plus I think reflexology, and homeopathy
I will FRIGHTEN this baby out before long I think

I am 40+12
going to ask for monitoring at the hospital at 40+14 which will throw me into the hands of the consultants I reckon, and all that entails, but I think I will want reassurance by then
wish me luck chaps
3 days to get this baby out if I want to have it at home

Just reporting in. Still here.
40wks+8days
Four days till induction day.

Am now resigned to the fact that baby will stay inside well into teenage years and I must suffer a lifetime of ER at 10am and Haagen Dasz. Could be worse. Must buy larger sofa though to support teenager in bump.

FabioUnblogged · 16/07/2008 10:05

lol springerspaniel

Congratulations to BMcQ and Aggie!

I would like to say OH ARSE on behalf of Franny, hatrick and anyone else still farking pregnant when they only signed up for 40 weeks tops (Mother Fricking Nature has a lot to answer for)

May you burst into labour and gently pop out your ten pounders tiny weeny little elfin well greased babies very soon.

FabioUnblogged · 16/07/2008 10:07

omg my above post was post number 666 of this thread.

Er, is anyone having a Damian?

gillythekid · 16/07/2008 10:38

Hi,can I join you in a mooch? I'm now officially 'ovedue' and I feel like I've been pregnant for about 2 years now. I can't remember turning over in bed without thinking my pelvis might crack. SPD has put a stop to any long walks that I enjoy in 'normal' life, in fact any walking at all for the past 8 weeks.
I'm turning into a pineapple and now actually like the taste of raspberry leaf tea. I've managed to seduce DH twice this week, which isn't easy in underwear your gran would wear, all to no avail. Seeing the midwife tomorrow and wondering what she has in store for my fanjo. Oh I hope we're all revelling in the sheer the joy of it all.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 16/07/2008 11:03

Just checking in to see how you are all doing. Many congrats Aggie, BMQ and SK - such lovely news.

F&Z - you sound like a lady with a plan - and a mission . Enjoy your treatments!

Congrats, Aggie!

Buggeration, Hatrick Hopefully you won't need to see her tomorrow though.

fryalot · 16/07/2008 12:14

oh hatrick, how blardy annoying!

Hopefully you won't need to see her tomorrow. If you do see her, you have my permission to be really snotty with her.

(after she's done any examining of you of course, tis not a good idea to piss someone off just as they are about to touch you)

FrannyandZooey · 16/07/2008 12:26

oh Hatrick

don't read the next bit if feeling too pissed off

midwife has been and says she reckons I am on the way
she did another sweep and says if I turned up to be induced now she would send me home again

[excitement and fear}

arrrgh have actually got to have the baby now

i had a sweep today..hmmm!

how successful r they?

fryalot · 16/07/2008 12:48

mummy2bsoon - varying degrees of success I think. Things may happen almost immediately, or it may have no discernible effect at all.

Franny - WHOO HOOOO!!!!!
