Fabio inDEED
guess who just finished all the chocolate in the house?
the effort involved in going to fridge necessitated a 10 minute whinge about painkillers, so there you go

do you think the head has just moved right down? or have I done something crappy and strained it? it's getting too nasty to stand up tbh

OP posts:
Tatties · 13/07/2008 14:56

Well I don't have a clue about anything, but I was going to suggest that Franny

FabioTheLiterateCat · 13/07/2008 14:57

Ah.
Can you send dp and ds out on an educational trip to the shops?

FrannyandZooey · 13/07/2008 14:58

it bloody hurts
will it stop?
I won't be able to take ds into town tomorrow so my friend can look after him so i can have a sweep, at this rate
in fact I won't be able to get to midwife for a sweep neither

OP posts:
Tatties · 13/07/2008 14:59

Sorry that wasn't clear, I meant I was going to suggest that maybe the head had moved right down

FrannyandZooey · 13/07/2008 14:59

they are out swimming fabio
I have found biscuits, fret not
not as effective as codeine however I suspect

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 13/07/2008 15:00

yes let's choose to believe that Tatties
that would be GOOD wouldn't it? I mean that would almost certainly mean it will be born TODAY probably in the next HOUR wouldn't you think?

OP posts:
Tatties · 13/07/2008 15:00

If it's that bad I would phone the midwife / delivery suite for advice

so probably just about noticeable on a normal person's scale of pain

ok I will ring them
it'll be someone new to whinge at

oh actually I won't as only the delivery hotline will be open, and I feel a prat ringing them

Poor Franny.
That sounds awful.
Could you sweet talk your MW in coming out to you?

FrannyandZooey · 13/07/2008 15:04

no she is never around
she works once a week from what i can gather
am seeing her tomorrow if I can get there!
I think from all the sympathy I am now getting that I must be exagerrating a bit
sorry, am very wimpish person about pain and discomfort and so on

Tatties · 13/07/2008 15:07

Franny I phoned delivery suite many times, including once during ds's first week at home because I was worried that he wouldn't stop crying. They were nothing but delightful to me. You have a genuine concern and that is what they are there for

LOL that we are all being too sympathetic.

Maybe we should toughen up a bit?

Right Franny, get yourself up off that sofa and go for a jog!

perhaps it will go then hatrick
In the past when it's been sore like this, rest has put it right fairly quickly, but even stuff like getting in the bath or turning over in bed has seemed to really exacerbate it

I am going to go and lie down a bit I think

aww Franny sorry to hear you are suffering, I have loads of co-codamol in the house as well, GP gave me them for the SPD if it's really bad I take 1, 2 and I am out of it. Will also take them if this baby ever comes out and I get afterpains.

So I'm walking along today DD in each hand and a taxi driver shouts "oh you've certainly been busy haven't you got a television?" Lucky he wasn't pulled from his taxi and lamped.

MW said she was going to come out tomorrow might ask her for another sweep can't hurt can it?

FrannyandZooey · 13/07/2008 15:48

no I don't at all, except when I go to the gym
I think getting over the ball on all fours might encourage it into a different position, but I mean it SHOULD be getting its head well down, shouldn't it? so shall I just shut up I suppose

it hurts really quite a lot if I have to bear down for any reason. TMI but I had a poo earlier and it was NOT PLEASANT. That feels like head on pelvis type issues, doesn't it?

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 13/07/2008 15:48

LOL at taxi driver
bet you would have had him if you could have caught him

lulumama · 13/07/2008 15:49

have a bath franny, and then lean over a birth ball. your baby might well have engaged further, hence that congested sore feeling in your foof

call MW if it is still like this later, pain so bad you cannot stand up is not good
