Found out recently I’m pregnant with baby number 3 😍. I’ve worked out my due date as early May 2027. Anyone else? It would be nice to have a support thread going. They’ll be quite a big gap between my two kids and baby, I feel like I’ve forgotten everything 🤦🏼‍♀️

Hey everyone ~ hope all is well!

Not sure if this is a pregnancy thing but I can’t seem to get enough to drink, I constantly feel thirsty even after drinking loads and sucking on ice. Has anyone had this?

Omg yes. Drink litres and litres all day and can never feel satisfied. Then am up half the night to wee 🙄🙄.
Definitely a pregnancy thing! All that extra blood and amniotic fluid has to come from somewhere.

Moominmamato3 · 05/10/2026 16:45

@AFlashOfLight ~ ahh so I’m not the only one! Yes always having to go wee during the evening too.

CoopChar · 05/10/2026 19:51

I forgot about the relentless weeing! Also forgot about how many things make me wretch - this morning is was the smell of coffee (devestated!) and brushing my teeth!

7 weeks today and finally done my booking in form today - hoping they might get me an early scan due to previous losses! 🤞

PcosSOS · 05/10/2026 20:40

Hi all! Hope it’s ok to join?

I’m due very end of May and 6+1 with an IVF pregnancy.

Things have gone smoothly until today when I had a bleed this morning. Bizarrely I had a similar bleed at exactly 6+1 with my daughter who is nearly 4.

I have a small subchorionic hematoma just like before but they saw a strong heartbeat and measuring 3.5mm at 6+1.

hoping that things stay ok!

Plumchumm · 06/10/2026 13:44

@PcosSOS Welcome <3 I'm so glad to hear you and the baby are okay

MixedBananas · 07/10/2026 15:30

@Plumchumm thank you. I am sure this was the case before with my 2 kids but I seem to have forgotten and / or ignore it due to anxiety.
I am back to feeling rotten again and extremely tired. 7w today based on LMP have my booking apt next Weds.

@Moominmamato3 I am the opposite at the moment. I feel so unwell water makes me gag. I was having lime water with mint but even that makes me feel like gagging. So I am struggling to get fluids in at the moment.

I am super bloated and not able to hide my "bump" I started showing at 8 weeks with my 2nd child. So wonder of it is earlier and earlier with each.

Moominmamato3 · 07/10/2026 16:00

@MixedBananas ~ I get that! My jeans feel like a torture device, I’m hoping to get until half term and my 12 week scan before I show a belly on the school run so there has been a lot of sucking in!

CoopChar · 07/10/2026 18:42

@Moominmamato3 & @MixedBananas im the same - I’m okay in the mornings but by the evening the bloat is outrageous!

I had a call from the midwives today but because I’m not sure on my date they have arrange for a dating scan before arranging a booking in appointment so hopefully that’ll come through in the next few days.

I had some veryyy slight pink discharge today which rationally I remember from my 1st and everything was fine but irrationally it also happened with my losses so naturally I started spiralling today. Holding out for the scan and hoping I don’t have to wait too long!

hello
i feel thirsty too
also try electrolyte kind of drink
which might help
or juice

MummaAgain2026 · 07/10/2026 22:41

Oh goodness the nausea and food aversion has been driving me mad. Even the thought of some food/drink (orange juice 🤢) is making me gag.

I can’t stop thinking about food and yet feel sick during/after everything I eat. Hope it passes very soon.

I’m extremely bloated too, I’m 11 weeks on Sunday so I’m going to start transitioning to my maternity leggings. The tightness of my trousers has been exacerbating my delightful gas 💨 😂

@Moominmamato3 any over sized Jumpers / Ts you could wear? Luckily no one can see my bloat and not seeing family until I am 12 weeks anyway. God willing I get to that stage.

@CoopChar did you mention to midwife about spotting. They should try arrange asap. Where I am they organised it within 2 days. With my miscarriage was not sure on dates and had spotting. My midwife team were great in that respect.

Never left my maternity leggings 😂 2 babies in got the Mum gut for sure.
Also yes the smell of the house makes me sick and the bins, and the fridge and after cooling that longering smell makes me 🤢 i made a spag bol the other night loved it but the next morning the smell when I came down to the kitchen was awful. Made smash burgers on the weekend amazing! But the next day and the day after 🤢
I hate open plan when pregnant!!!

Yeah I did and they said unless it’s red and have not to worry - hoping my scan date is soon so I can know either way.

I’m quite calm about it, I know that no about of worrying will change the outcome but it’s the not knowing that’s infuriating!

Moominmamato3 · 08/10/2026 10:29

Hope you get a scan date through soon @CoopChar !

I was hoping to hide under jumpers but the weather is not helping, today is the first real cool day we have had but hopefully it continues and I can get my jumpers out

Onemoretimeonly · 08/10/2026 14:34

Oh, I cannot open the fridge. Have just left all cooking/clearing up to DH who is stepping up wonderfully and no doubt quietly wondering when I will start cooking again.

Just before I found out I ordered a soft, dark sweater dress in L in the sale and was going to send in back as too big. But think it will see me through the winter!

The panic about having 3 is still there, but I’m getting better at thinking ‘now is the only now’ and the two kids ship has fully sailed so I may as well enjoy the no. 3 ride.

Moominmamato3 · 08/10/2026 15:50

I think we all panic about coping whatever number it is ~ I know I did but now if one of mine is away for the day I wonder why I ever panicked about having 2 as it’s seems much less chaotic and having only 1 for the day seems very quiet.

Also 11 weeks exactly today and gassy as hell, but I don't really have much of a bump. I have got quite bad lower back pain though.

My 12 week scan has been booked for 19 Oct, so I will be 12 weeks + 3!

I called my midwife's office twice this week to chase it up but they didn't return my call. Then today, I got an update on the patient app saying I was on a waiting list for an ultrasound appointment. I then got a couple of missed calls from an unknown number, so I presumed it could be the hospital calling to book the scan. It wasn't, but they booked me in anyway!

So now I can breathe! For now.

Ataneli · 09/10/2026 20:35

I got my 12 week scan through today on my NHS app a few hours after my booking appointment and it isn't until I'm almost 14 weeks going off my LMP. (I know I'm a week earlier than that). I was really hoping it would be this month so I could stop sucking my bloat in sooner but instead I have to wait over a MONTH😭
I have a private scan booked in when I'll be 10 weeks (according to ovulation and rearranged from when I had my EPAU scan instead of my private reassurance). I'm not sure whether to move it to when I'll be 11 weeks and maybe start telling people then.

I'm just so anxious to get to the "safe" week after our mmc in March, I can't believe it's so long away.

What? Where in the world are you. In Wales any spotting is taking seriously. With my 1st son I had spotting at 8 weeks and I was seen the next day. Even though it only lasted 6 hours and went brown and nothing after 48hours. They still scanned me asap.

I wish I had the same. My DH is away long days at work and I have resorted to a peg on my nose and holding my breath.

I purchased loads of pregnancy and postpartum clothing so can use during and after and still have them from my first child.
I am also going from 2 to 3 and wondering how it will be. Eapecially as my toddler dropped his nap at age 2 and I home Educate my eldest. But plan to have our summer holidays earlier.
We need to move ASAP. Been nagging DH about it for thr last 2 years and now he is panicking. We have a 2 bed only and we made it work with 2 kids but not going to work with 3!

How old are your first 2? Mine will be 7 and 4 at my due date which at least means they are both in school from September, and can go to various clubs at the same time.

Summer holidays is going to be wild though.

I’m quite glad I got rid of my maternity wear as it was all absolutely hideous though comfy, I can’t be tempted to get it out!

I wish they did here! I’m in Cornwall, but tbh they were the same when I was in Nottingham too! You’d think considering I’ve had 3 losses and my 1st loss was a MMC @ 13 weeks they’d be more cautious but apparently not 🙃 I have got an early scan for next Friday on the NHS though, I’ll be 8+3 then so should be able to get some kind of definitive idea of which way things are going then!

Hahaha where are the mat clothes from?
Mine are all pretty much H&M and quiet nice.
Even the nursing tops look quiet modern and not like nursing wear.
Mine are 4 and 2 at the moment. But eldeat will be 5 by the time I am due.
I have managed alone with both kids as we are far from family and friends. I have learnt to be very resilient and I am sure it will all work out. 🤪

@CoopChar wow thats not great at all. I am surprised by that I assumed it would be better in Cornwall. I love cornwall we holiday there often and North Devon. A dream location to live, if we could afford to.
I am glad you have a private scan sorted though. I am tempted to do 1.

WildFinch · 10/10/2026 19:25

I've also had a good experience when I've had spotting. They've put me on progesterone again this time and I'm taking aspirin. They will probably prescribe me that anyway as I'm nearly 41. Sorry you haven't been offered anything @CoopChar my first ended in a MMC. I still remember the shock.
I've caved and booked at private scan for next weekend. Fingers crossed 🤞
