Found out recently I’m pregnant with baby number 3 😍. I’ve worked out my due date as early May 2027. Anyone else? It would be nice to have a support thread going. They’ll be quite a big gap between my two kids and baby, I feel like I’ve forgotten everything 🤦🏼‍♀️

I had a early scan today so they will prescribe me progesterone. Measuring 6 weeks and I saw a tiny heartbeat which is positive. Now the horrid pessaries for the next 10 weeks! Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Aww, that's fantastic news on the scan 😊

My midwife said nothing about anything. 39 with 7th pregnancy 4 miscarriages. Not offered eary scan or progestrone. I am in Wales. Maybe different policy here. Not sure who to speak to about it. The deparment is small only 6 midwives.

hello :)

I’m due the end of May, I’m 5w3d currently with my first baby. Suffering with anxiety about baby’s growth etc, so I’ve booked a scan for 7w3d. Any tips on how to just trust the process and not assume the worst would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry to hear about your miscarriages. It's a rough road with previous losses. Were you ever referred to a recurring miscarriage clinic? I was waiting for an appointment then fell pregnant last time. They offered me progesterone even though no evidence that's what caused my miscarriages. I figured it wouldn't hurt so I took it. I also started taking low dose aspirin as soon as I got a positive based on my own research. Perhaps worth asking your midwives given your history?

I have my re scan tomorrow. Absolutely dreading it. Went last week thinking I was 7 weeks according to LMP but measured around 5 weeks. This is my 6th Pregnancy but my last 5 all ended in miscarriages. I don’t think I’ll even be able to look at the scanner tomorrow for fear it’s bad news yet again

I had my scan today at 7 weeks and all looked good - can’t really believe it and think it’s probably time I told my DH?!

Wishing those with scans coming up all the best - it is horrible waiting and worrying.

@MumDaisy1980 ~ I had a book Coping with Two which I found helpful if you wanted a book.

Thanks!

take care!!

keepgoinggal · 02/10/2026 06:24

Symptoms disappeared yesterday. Felt normal all day until the evening and been up and down all night with worry. No bleeding but we know what loss of symptoms could be. Scan booked for tomorrow 6+3, hopefully they can see a heartbeat to settle me ☹️

MixedBananas · 02/10/2026 07:47

@WildFinch it's dunny but I was reffered in August 3 weeks before I then found out I was pregnant. No apt yet. So bit in limbo.
I think I will call the midwives Monday.
I am a bit nervous as with my 2 boys I had severe symptoms at 6 weeks which let up at 9 weeks. But I am 6 weeks +3 and I am haveing slight nausea and Fatigue. Similar to last week. I spoek to DH about getting an ewrly scan when I turn 7 weeks but he is super chill and thinks all is fine.

Yes I had read that the support for progestrone is no longer backed scientifically. But asprin is.

@keepgoinggal I am feeling liie my symptoms are easing up already too I am 6w+3d. All the beat with the scan.

@FolkSongSweet how have you not told DH omg you are patient. I waited until oassed my AF was sue it was 5 agonizing days.

@JustAboutMuddlingThrough all the best today. Sending positive vibes!

FolkSongSweet · 02/10/2026 08:45

@MixedBananas this baby was an accident and for my previous pregnancies I was on a cocktail of drugs before conception, so I thought this one would be doomed and thought it’d be better to tell DH when I knew what was going on, but I’ve left it so long now I’m scared about it! I’m going out with some friends tonight so might wait until tomorrow.

Hello!! I’m 6+4 weeks with my 2nd and I’ve been feeling like a bus hit me. I had nausea and sickness with my first too, but this is 24/7. I got some meds prescribed which I hope will take off the edge. I’m also extremely anxious about this pregnancy sticking which I thought I wouldn’t given I have a toddler to think about - nope, still anxious 😬

I'm on xonvea and its life changing. Huge difference to the nausea.

Similarly anxious, even with a toddler, but this is off the back of a chemical 2 months before conceived this one. Just taking it a week at a time. Was tempted to book an 8 week scan but we want to do NIPT which is at 10 weeks so might be bit overkill to have another scan and trying to hold out!

Can I ask what dose you’re taking please? I’m on 3 tablets per day and still feeling sick all day long. I’d hoped for a miracle after reading such positive reviews and am mightily disappointed!

TTCmaybesoon · 02/10/2026 14:39

Had my booking appointment on Wednesday and it went well, but I am a bit nervous about getting a date for my 12 week scan.

The midwife booked my next meeting with her for 13 Nov and the official letter for that came through the NHS app immediately because I am signed up for paperless comms where possible.

She was having some IT issues, but said that because she'd completed the booking form and set up our next appointment that that would trigger the booking of the 12 week scan, too. But I have had nothing via the app yet. When the midwife appointments were booked I got a text and app notification very quickly.

I am v, v anxious about adminstrative issues like this, but I am a bit worried that the booking of the scan hasn't been triggered. I will absolutely be chasing every man and his dog mid-next week if I don't hear anything (post in my area is v slow, which is why I don't want to take any chances with paper comms if I can get it through the app - I don't want to miss an appt).

How long has it taken people to get their ultrasound booked in after their midwife appointment? Any experiences with the app vs post?

My trust is royal berkshire

FlyingHighFlyingLow · 02/10/2026 15:53

I'm on 2 tablets at night. I can feel it creeping back in the evenings but for now its holding it at bay. Mainly its allowing me to get food down and stay down in the morning. I need to keep eating or the nausea creeps back. Food aversion still very strong. I'm sat at my desk eating chicken crisp sandwiches 😅. Also can't eat much in one go, def smaller portion sizes than usual. I do feel so much more functional though!

When I first started one tablet was working quite well but once I hit 8 weeks I needed to add the second so I might need to add more as get further along. I am very lucky working so well for me though. Some people need to add in other meds on top - have you looked into that?

Finally got my booking appointment through - I'll be 9+2. Part of why I'm booking the NIPT. You don't get the scan until after booking and with the delay I doubt I'll get in on time for combined screen. I referred myself at exactly 5 weeks as well.

JustAboutMuddlingThrough · 02/10/2026 16:26

Had my scan this morning. I’m measuring 6+2 she turned the screen round and I could see the flickering of the heartbeat 💓 I just went oh wow is that the heart I can see beating and she was like yes it is. Cue me nearly bursting into tears. I’m booked in for another scan on the 23rd cos of my history. I’ve posted the scan pic but I’ve done it as sensitive so that anyone who doesn’t want to see doesn’t have to
