Hi!

Thought I'd start a group for those of us just getting our positives now and are due in April 2027!

I've just had a positive from a frozen embryo transfer. One DD and a previous loss and one failed cycle.

Anxious putting one foot in front of the other in these early days!

yesss, I am really hot as well (though this is my first pregnancy!) I wasn’t sure if it was due to the heatwave we are having but I found it so hard to sleep last night, I just couldn’t cool down. Feeling groggy at work today 😵‍💫

CasualOverthinker · 29/07/2026 10:32

Ahhh so relieved it’s not just me. I know literally a post ago I said “no symptoms” but this is definitely one of mine. For the past one-two weeks feeling SO hot. Also, breathless when I talk?! Like, excuse me, why so early ?!?

CatLadyH · 29/07/2026 12:34

Yes absolutely I’m so warm!

CasualOverthinker · 29/07/2026 06:58

Is anyone else absolutely boiling hot?? With my DD I remember getting cold every evening like clockwork. With this pregnancy, I have been feeling SO hot. I feel I’m constantly hot and sweaty 🥵

YES omg I'm sweltering. I don't remember getting this hot so early last time?? I have a neck fan arriving today 😂 and TBF it is 31C where I am today.

DB is staying with us, still has no idea about the pregnancy. He literally helped my DH take some recycling into the car and my Clearblue box fell out in front of him - no reaction 😂 I took a phone call to book my booking in appointment today while he walked ahead a little bit with my toddler - oblivious. Bless him 😂 We're telling him this weekend.

NHS due date calculator has put me at 3 April so lovely to see people with quite similar due dates!

Yes and breathless! Feels so early right?? I've also been feeling some on/off nausea which I did not have this early last time.

Very different this time anyway, last pregnancy I was swanning around having naps and going to yoga 3 times a week. I basically don't get any exercise now, I did try some squats and (raised leg squats? Where you have one leg on a bench) in the kitchen last night after DS was asleep but I was boiling and annoyed. Also feeling so touched out with the breastfeeding and heat atm, gently weaning but I'm looking forward to stopping. I'm noticing some subtle cramping sometimes when I'm feeding so it feels a bit like my body's pulled in two directions.

@CasualOverthinker so lovely to see you on here!

And so sweet seeing people reconnecting from the June thread before!

I'm also going mad not telling anyone! I can't believe I'm still only about 5 +2 at the most. Fair play for keeping it quiet when your brother arrived so soon after you finding out, I admire your restraint. I think your plan to tell your closest friends/family soon is lovely.

I impulsively self-referred to midwives yesterday, and already had a call today to arrange my booking appointment for August, when I'll be just shy of 8 weeks. Also booked a reassurance scan for a week after that. It still doesn't feel quite real though.

The restraint is hard! Your booking appointment sounds at a really reasonable time though the wait is hard! They just booked me in today for mid August, I'll be about 6.5 weeks, seems so early? Last time they basically didn't want to know until I was about 11 weeks along

Bumblebeemee · 29/07/2026 13:18

Lots of activity, looks like April will be a busy month!

I’m 4+4 today so also due 3rd April @beeble347! My first came at 36 weeks and my second 38 weeks so I’m wondering if I’ll progress another 2 weeks and make it to 40 this time.

I’m also absolutely desperate to tell everyone in sight, strangers included 😂 with my first I had the anxiety of a first pregnancy, then had pre-eclampsia and a traumatic birth which made me incredibly anxious for my second pregnancy and this one I’m determined to enjoy every minute. Also getting the hot flushing and insane bloating, I’m very conscious that my work uniform is straining over my belly today and wondering if a 3rd time bump is going to pop super early 🫣

CasualOverthinker · 29/07/2026 13:54

Absolutely on the same page re telling people! I am 4+6/5 - aka MEGA freaking early, but I am absolutely desperate to share with my family and close friends! Idk what has gotten into me, I was so reluctant last time, I remember we told even family as late as 12-14 weeks lol 😂 Absolutely no chance I will last this long. I would be surprised if I make it to after 8 weeks, because in my head that feels slightly more reasonable than at 4-5 weeks!

I was also feeling organized and self-referred to the same hospital I had DD. They have already sorted out my booking app for late August and 12 week app for mid Sept!
And I also booked a private early scan in 3 weeks time. I don’t want to rock up and be too early but idk why it feels like time has stopped! I swear it’s only been like a week since that very first positive test but it feels like 74 years lol. 😂🙈

CasualOverthinker · 29/07/2026 13:55

And yes, so wonderful to see so many people from the TTC thread!!! @Mortima @beeble347 @Orchid887 , I probably missed out someone 🙈

LacedBouquet · 29/07/2026 14:26

Ohhhhh nice to see some of you have already self-referred/ organised booking appointments. I’m too nervous to yet as had that experience before my DD of having to then phone back up and be like soz not pregnant anymore 😬
I’ve got some betas booked for next week (5w & 5+2) to check I’m doubling appropriately and once I get those results I think I’ll phone and refer myself to the midwives. Will also book a private scan for 8 weeks again like I did with my DD, was soooooo reassuring and amazing to see that little heartbeat! Pleaseeee can these next four weeks fly by for all of us 🙏 I’m already having test anxiety over progression 🙈

TheUniqueMember · 29/07/2026 14:31

I just done a self-referral at 4w+1d. Not sure if I've done it too early but hey ho 😅

CasualOverthinker · 29/07/2026 14:46

For those of you hesitant to self-refer , I totally understand the anxiety, I have it too. But for what it’s worth, I don’t think there is such a thing as referring too early.
My thinking was that the referral can take a little while to be processed anyway, and if, heaven forbid, anything were to change, you can always let the maternity team know. I’d rather be in the system than waiting to start the process later. It doesn’t make the pregnancy any more or less real, but it did feel nice knowing the ball was rolling while I sat at home overanalysing every twinge! 🙃

CatLadyH · 29/07/2026 15:54

Likewise I can’t bring myself to self refer yet, I think i will wait til 6 weeks just for my own piece of mind!

Tinytotdriver · 29/07/2026 16:23

I have self referred already just because where I live you are expected/told to refer the second you get a positive test because it’s so oversubscribed 😅

VioletTea27 · 29/07/2026 16:24

I’m so scared to self-refer because last time I had a chemical 2 days later. Currently only 4+4 (I think) so I’m going to wait a little longer. Maybe I’ll be brave enough when I hit 6 weeks.

beeble347 · 29/07/2026 16:49

Totally get the nervousness re self referring, especially for anyone with a history of loss 🫂

I've done it because I have to have my medication increased immediately so the GP already knows! Idk I was so anxious my first pregnancy, we didn't tell a soul until I was 10 weeks, took a while to get round close friends and family telling them in person after that. I was constantly checking that miscarriage calculator and refused to buy any baby stuff until I was about 5/6 months along

I guess second time round I've seen it go right once? But feeling more relaxed in general which is not my personality at all. My thinking re telling people is we've chosen a tiny handful of close family and my best friend to tell, I want to take advantage of when we see them in person soon (and don't have to repeat long car trips when I might be in the thick of morning sickness/disrupt toddler frequently) and they're people whose emotional support we'd appreciate either way. Everyone else I'm happy waiting a good while, prob at least 12 weeks onwards, maybe more depending how close they are.

Hi all! I joined the due March group but I think I’m not as far along as I thought! The clear blue has been saying 2-3 weeks until yesterday which now says 3+ so it looks like I’m due early April!

This is my second pregnancy, and with my first I pretty much instantly felt pregnant, very sick, crazy sense of smell etc. But not really feeling like that this time which is making me nervous! I was a serial tester like a lot of you and seeing it switch to 3+ has really helped see that things are progressing,

Have got a private viability scan booked for next Thursday but now worried it may be too early to see a heartbeat which might stress me out more? Anyone else booked on?

Hey! I would wait a couple more weeks if I were you as I don’t think you’d see a lot at the moment. My 6 week scan is booked for 12th August and even then I’m wondering whether to book it for 1 week later x

TiffanyBlythe · 30/07/2026 08:49

I had a 6 week scan in my last pregnancy and they couldn’t see anything at all, it was empty. I was terrified, spent a few days worrying my socks off and then went back and saw a heart beat. This time I’m not taking the risk so booking my scan for 7+ weeks xx

I think the “doctor’s weeks” are 2 weeks on top of what clear blue says so I should be 6 weeks by next week. I was hoping to push it more to 7+ just to make sure as I don’t want that anxiety of “no heartbeat yet..” But I think in vast majority of cases 6 weeks is ok?

Ah I didn’t see this but yes this is what I’m worrying about now, that extra dread must be awful. Last pregnancy I was 6w5d and good heartbeat at that point

greenshirt06 · 30/07/2026 09:42

Counting down to my scan at 7wk1d! Dreading next week as apparently week 6 is when sickness usually starts... this is my first so no idea what to expect. My mum was never sick, just felt nauseous, so not sure whether to expect similar? Does it track that way or is it random? I saw a couple of headlines recently about sperm affecting women's pregnancy experience/ sickness - if so I'm f*cked hahaha!

Hey! Clearblue isn’t always accurate and some people take ages to get a 3+. For example when I was 8 weeks pregnant with my daughter, I saw her on a scan, took a clearblue just after the appt so I could finally get that 3+ and it still said 2-3 weeks! Do you have regular periods? When was the start of your last period? And did you track ovulation with an LH stick or egg white mucus?

LacedBouquet · 30/07/2026 09:43

My vomiting started last night FML 🙃🙃🙃
GP is seeing me later this morning to start on anti sickness meds and put a plan in place to try and get on top of the HG 😬 hopefully I don’t end up in hospital like I did last time!

I’ll be roughly the same, I think 6w+4-5 days. I think I’m just gonna go along and see what’s what, I guess there’s a possibility they might see something. I’ve been looking into private reassurance scans. Found one local to me for £90 and I’m considering it for 9 or 10w because otherwise it’s a long way to wait until 12 w scan if they can’t see anything at 6 weeks 😭
