Pregnancy after loss

Hi, I'm 4+4 after a loss at 6+5 in April. I don't want to join the 'due in January' thread yet as I joined the December one then had to bow out, but thought it might be nice to have a thread where anyone in a similar position could chat/vent? I can't see any recent similar threads, apols if I have missed.

I'm feeling a lot more nauseous than last time which I have read can be a positive sign, but obviously doesn't guarantee anything. Just trying to cling to any hope I can!

Hi Ladies! Hope you’re all doing well. Just thought I’d update after being back at EPU today. The scan today showed some abnormal areas and they’re now concerned it’s a molar pregnancy so been sent to the emergency gynae ward and just waiting on the on call doctor coming round to discuss surgery x

Oh gosh @sapphirerubydiamondI hope you’re ok, that sounds scary. Keep us posted xx

Aww bless you, so stressful and worrying for you. I hope you're getting plenty of support.

With my missed miscarriage last year there was mention of it possibly being a molar pregnancy. I had no idea what it was and ended up doing loads of research. Although it sounded scary all the stories I came across were women saying how well they were taken care of during the process.

I know they recommend the surgery so they can test to confirm it (mine wasn't molar). I had the surgery last year and it was incredibly straightforward and I felt really well looked after, I'd recommend it over the tablets, so much kinder mentally and physically.

So sorry you're having to face this additional worry @sapphirerubydiamond

I opted for surgery when a scan confirmed our baby didn't have a heartbeat at 7 weeks. It's completely your decision, I felt it was the right option for me to not experience any physical pain. I truly felt looked after and cared for at the hospital too

Glad to hear your surgeries were straightforward! I’m so nervous but back at 6am for mine tomorrow morning. I wanted to avoid surgery really in an ideal world but I don’t have a choice now they suspect molar unfortunately. They said I could have it under local or general anaesthetic so I’ve opted for general. Apparently we can’t TTC again for 6 months after this which is a bit of a kick in the teeth 😪

Such a stressful situation for you @sapphirerubydiamond 😔 Hopefully all goes smoothly tomorrow and you are well cared for.
Sorry to hear about the possible wait to TTC. I found the wait afterwards absolutely torturous. A really difficult time as you are just so desperate to try again and have your happy news. I have no advice there but total solidarity. Take care of yourself 💐

LPR16 · Yesterday 14:39

I hope your surgery goes ok @sapphirerubydiamondI opted for general too. If you need any advice over the next few days feel free to message.

I'm not sure if you're on Instagram but I follow someone called Emily Lucy Rach who had a suspected molar. They got their results back in a couple of weeks and were able to try again much sooner than 6 months. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for the same outcome for you x

@sapphirerubydiamond good luck for your surgery tomorrow, I'm sure it will all go fine.

General anesthetic was what i went for too, didn't want to be awake for any of it. It was the best choice, recovered was totally smooth with no pain. Just felt a little groggy for a few days.

ChasingRainbow5 · Yesterday 15:16

@sapphirerubydiamond that’s so tough having to wait. I’ll keep everything crossed that it isn’t molar and you can try sooner. Hope you’re well looked after tomorrow, I’ll be thinking of you 💕
