Pregnancy after loss

Hi, I'm 4+4 after a loss at 6+5 in April. I don't want to join the 'due in January' thread yet as I joined the December one then had to bow out, but thought it might be nice to have a thread where anyone in a similar position could chat/vent? I can't see any recent similar threads, apols if I have missed.

I'm feeling a lot more nauseous than last time which I have read can be a positive sign, but obviously doesn't guarantee anything. Just trying to cling to any hope I can!

I had my anomaly scan today, baby looks healthy and happy in there! Also had a uterine artery Doppler done and will need growth scans from 28 weeks to monitor baby’s size. They’ve also agreed to induce me at 39 weeks at the latest so I’m now officially definitely over half way!

I also had a little peek when they were doing femur measurements… @ThatMintMember I’m pretty sure your nub theory prediction was correct!

So glad your scan went well! Can't believe how far we've all come already.

going to have to be very careful about what I say about baby to dh for the next 18 weeks! Boys names are really hard too as we had a girls name picked out! I’m just thrilled he seems to be happy and healthy though and can’t wait to see what he looks like!

@Namechangedforthis60 we also had a girls name picked and can’t agree on anything for a boy, it’s now my main stress (which I suppose is nice really 😅)

Does your DH come up with any alternatives? Mine just latches onto one that isn't my favourite and tries to win me over haha, he's currently pushing for Lexi. I love Emma for a little girl but he's not budging!

He does pretty much the same thing! He will pick one and try to convince me! My style tends to be longer names that can be shortened to a nickname (Nathaniel, known as Nate for example).
For a girl we were set on Violet but obviously dh doesn’t know we are not likely to be using that!

Haha, it doesn't actually work though does it? It usually just puts me off that name. He'd be better off offering alternatives 🤣 oh that's lovely, I love William shortened to Will or Sebastian shortened to Seb. Most of the names I've got for girls don't get shortened though.

Hey I’ve just started a thread similar to this but for those due around March 2027 as I wasn’t sure if you were all much more further along in your pregnancies than I am. Is anyone else due around that kind of time or am I best sticking to the new one I made?!

@AnonymousUser101 I am 7+2, how about you? I had a scan at 6 weeks and was showing a heartbeat. But I’ve lost 2 babies at 7+5 exactly so this is a bit of a worrying week for me. I have another scan next Thurs x

25 weeks today and had another bleed this morning :( went to maternity assessment unit and luckily baby is fine but they wanted to admit me this time. Thinking perhaps they can do more at this stage than at my 14 week bleed. So currently chilling on a ward willing the bleed to stop asap so I can go home (apparently they like to keep you in 24 hours after the bleed stops). This pregnancy is so different to my sons, this one has constant drama!

@ThatMintMember oh no, sorry to hear that. Glad baby is fine and they're keeping a close eye, keep us posted and vent any time you need to x

No thread police here, post as many places as you like/find helpful 😊 I find comfort in having people at a similar stage and people further along too, gives me hope!

I actually just came on to say I’m feeling a bit dejected after another big bleed. I had one at 7+1 (the internal scan earlier in the day dislodged a haematoma) and another last night unexpectedly at 12+5. Last night wasn’t as dramatic as the first one but I still bled through my clothes / was like a water balloon popped. I’m on holiday which made it more stressful but found an amazing hospital and the baby was fine on the scan.

My obstetrician has said to go back onto progesterone for another two weeks (I had stopped all my IVF meds 10 days ago). It just feels hard to believe there can be so much bleeding and it’s still all ok? I haven’t had any painful cramps

After the first bleed I bled on and off for 3.5 weeks

@SlightlyTerrifiedButPolite it's so stressful isn't it? :( every time I start to relax I have another freak out where I think i might lose the baby. It's crazy that we can have bleeds like this in pregnancy and the babies can still be ok! So glad you managed to get seen on holiday for some reassurance, hope it all settles down again for you.
