Hi all, hope it’s ok if I join, the due date group from my last pregnancy still chat daily and the babies are 19 months old 🄰
I had an early positive but felt the nausea immediately the same as my other 2 pregnancy’s

NewAgeDawning · 05/04/2026 16:58

@Kate543 welcome! I am also in a group from my last baby and we all still talk and some of us even meet occasionally. When did you get your bfp? I tested at 11DPO this time round

Kate543 · 05/04/2026 17:20

So I first tested on Wednesday at 10dpo and it was a squinter, but still getting lines every morning I think today based on LMP I would be 4+1 so it’s early early days😊 this will be my third baby I have a toddler who is 4 next week and a 19 month old so it may be slightly chaotic šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

@NewAgeDawning the anti supplements midwife did recommend folic acid and vitamin d in the first trimester but was of the opinion that into the 2nd trimester just victim d. And advised making sure I eat plenty of calcium, in every meal leafy vegetables, beetroot etc. but for my second pregnancy I decided to alternate pregnancy multivitamin one day and folic acid and vid d the other day as I found the multivitamin hard to digest, iron in it causes constipation. My bloods were always fine.

I've not been so on it this time, I've taken food supplements some days but just realised it had vitamin a and said don't take if pregnant. Fortunately I didn't take it regularly. I'll get some pregnancy vitimens tomorrow.

@Aprahel87 @bluepurplegreen Welcome to you both - lovely and exciting news!

@PhoenixSTL So glad to hear you got some progression with the digital test, that must be reassuring after being worried by the line tests. Keeping everything crossed that things continue moving in the same direction for you.

@NewAgeDawning I’ve just been using the Boots own brand strip tests - I wasn’t seeing much progression for a while but yesterday was a massive change!

I’m 5+1 weeks today, have an early scan booked at our fertility clinic for 7+5 so just trying to stay sane until then really! We’re away with family for the Easter weekend but hoping I might get my 3+ on digital when we’re home mid next week.

Is anyone else ridiculously tired? I’ve had to have a 1.5 - 2 hour nap every afternoon for the last few days and not sure how that’s going to work around working - I work for a university so the Easter holidays are a good excuse to take things a bit easier but I won’t be able to do that when term starts again! šŸ˜‚

Ncl31 · 05/04/2026 20:34

@Aprahel87 @bluepurplegreen
welcome to the group, you’re both very welcome.
Ive stopped doing cheap easy@home tests today. The lines are the same now so I’m hair to see that. I will wait until Tuesday to do a clear blue digital to hopefully see 3+

@thehopelessoverthinker I’m having a lot of trouble sleeping, on top of of what now seems to be standard early pregnancy insomnia for me I’ve got a rotten cold so can’t breathe lying down and keep coughing myself awake.

On the plus side, my in laws are staying and my cold is providing me with a decent cover story šŸ˜… now to see if I can fool my mum tomorrow…

NewAgeDawning · 05/04/2026 21:52

Ladies just came across this on IG might be worth a look. Its about how thiamine or vitamin b1 deficiency can cause and/or exarcebate morning sickness and nausea in pregnancy

PhoenixSTL · 05/04/2026 23:17

@thehopelessoverthinker yes to the exhaustion. I've been lying down on the sofa every other night and having a little snooze in the afternoon. And been needing to go to bed earlier than usual as well, because I've been so tired.

That's great that you'll be getting an early scan. I've been debating whether to pay for one, but at the moment, I'm deciding against. My anxieties would mean that I'd feel like I needed one every week or so, if I went for one šŸ˜…

pastaislife · 06/04/2026 03:54

Hi all, can I join? I was on the September 26 group but had a miscarriage and been lucky to get pregnant immediately after. I wasn’t going to join this chat after having to leave last time but really struggling and shamelessly looking for a bit of support šŸ˜”

having a rough time already with insomnia and waking up at 2am, I’ve had a migraine for about 4 days and nausea after being awake most of the night everyday. Symptoms didn’t hit me this hard last time so I guess that is a positive but struggling mentally to cope with the thought of feeling this crap for an unknown length of time! The anxiety is definitely not helping as struggling to feel any excitement yet.

would medication like Xonvea help with sleep too do you think?
Thanks ladies xxxx

OneSunnyFox · 06/04/2026 07:08

@PhoenixSTL you may surprise yourself. Last time I got one at 7 weeks to check viable and in the right place (was going away and wanted reassurance), I got one at 11 weeks with NIPT, then the NHS ones which were booked at 13, 20, 34 and an extra growth scan as it measured at 98% at 36 weeks.

I remember wanting more between 13-20 but I think as soon as they get their final checks and shortly after you can feel the moving about in there the craving for scans sort of goes away and even at 20 you can’t see them all at once anymore.

@pastaislife maybe if your lack of sleep is because you feel nauseous. Sleepiness is listed as a side effect but probably not the sleep you need or want.

I’m convinced the insomnia is your body prepping you for bringing home a newborn. 8 months of prep, and it’s still not enough.

NewAgeDawning · 06/04/2026 07:21

@Kate543yes, sounds like it will be very busy for you, but how much fun and joy you will have!
@thehopelessoverthinkerwouldnt say im overly tired but then ive been able to sleep whenever I like as im in between jobs. I start a fully remote position tomorrow so ill be able to still nap if I so choose. Good thing is you should perk up in a few weeks time and then the 2nd trimester will hopefully be blissful. Im dreading the nausea stage. Ive never been sick before but the malaise is so debilitating
Do you wfh at all during the week or do you have to go in every day?

NewAgeDawning · 06/04/2026 07:30

@Ncl31im nearly at dye stealer stage now so will stop soon. Ive quite enjoyed doing this little ritual every morning, now theres no cycle to track its given me somethjng to do
@Sa11yCinnamonlet us know how it goes with your mum today! Hope your cold improves too
@pastaislifewelcome to the thread! Very few people feel terrible past the first trimester so id expect your symptoms to improve hopefully. Ive not looked into taking anything to help with sleep but that sounds like it could be an option?
So lucky you're pregnant again, praying for a little sticky bean for you and for us all

Sa11yCinnamon · 06/04/2026 08:31

@pastaislife welcome, really sorry about your loss and I can only imagine the mixed feelings now. I’ve got awful insomnia so can sympathise there šŸ’

thanks @NewAgeDawning!

I got 2-3 weeks on cb this morning so that’s a wee comfort that things are progressing. I’m going to try not to test again but we’ll see how it goes, I’m 5 weeks today and last time I bled around 7 and had a scan, I have a bicornuate uterus so expect that may happen again. If not I’d book a private scan around 8 weeks.

Ncl31 · 06/04/2026 08:44

I rang the EPU yesterday as I need a scan 6-7 weeks for me to be able to safely continue my medication, they need to check the position of baby.
so it’s all booked in for 16th April, these next 10 days can’t come quick enough.
im manifesting positive things this time.
I ovulated on my late aunt’s death anniversary and my scan is booked for my great aunt’s birthday, surely that’s these ladies looking out for me šŸ¤žšŸ»
5w tomorrow, I can’t decide whether to do my clear blue digital tomorrow or leave it until the end of the week.

@Sa11yCinnamonthats great youve now got a 2-3 weeks on your cb test. Was your bleeding plentiful? I had spotting in all my pregnancies at the 6 week mark. I hear its fairly common. Do you need any special care or monitoring with a bicornuate uterus?
@Ncl31the next 10 days will go by really fast, its great youll get to see baby so early. I did my CB yesterday bang on 5 weeks and got my 3+. Id go for it. You can always repeat it? Always take these things with a grain of salt, theyre not an exact science

Yeah absolutely shattered here. I feel absolutely useless, all I can seem to do is sit on the sofa šŸ˜‚ I keep falling asleep most of the evening, waking up for half an hour then going to bed and sleeping through til morning. Thankfully I'm off work this week but I'm dreading going back next week!

It's come as a complete shock this pregnancy. I have two children already and really didn't want a third especially after a complicated pregnancy last time. But then now it's happened sort of can't help but feel excited if not terrified

NewAgeDawning · 06/04/2026 09:47

@rach971haha try to enjoy this week off, and worry about next week when you get there! What do you do? Congratulations, its great youve now got over the initial shock and can begin to enjoy this time and the prospect of a third baby.

rach971 · 06/04/2026 09:49

Has anyone else phoned maternity to let them know they're pregnant? I assume they don't do anything until the booking appointment? I'm going to phone tomorrow as ours is closed weekends & bank hols

rach971 · 06/04/2026 09:50

@NewAgeDawning Thank you ā˜ŗļø I work in a cafe, so on my feet all day. It's funny because they were talking about me being pregnant the day before I found out I was. I said no chance, definitely don't want another... and here we are, they must have known šŸ˜‚

Sa11yCinnamon · 06/04/2026 09:52

@NewAgeDawning it was just like a period, until the baby is big enough half my womb doesn’t realise I’m pregnant so keeps bleeding. Fun! I was consultant led last time and had scans at 7 and 10 weeks then regular growth scans from 28 weeks.

I self referred online. I was going to wait til I was a bit further on but thought since waiting times are so bad I’d just go ahead. I’ve got my booking appointment mid May when I’d be 11 weeks.

PhoenixSTL · 06/04/2026 09:57

I did the self referral to the midwives yesterday- it's through BadgerNotes in my area. Imagine it'll be a week or so before I hear back with a booking appointment.

rach971 · 06/04/2026 10:06

@Sa11yCinnamon We can't do it online either here šŸ™„ Wondering if I need to mention I'll need to be consultant led or do I wait until booking appt. I have heart problems but they were only discovered part way through my last pregnancy so I was only consultant led towards the end

Sa11yCinnamon · 06/04/2026 10:08

@rach971 my form asked if I’d had any complications in previous pregnancy so I’d imagine they’ll ask you that when you call?
