I agree with those saying not much too do atm ~ I have my booking appointment with the midwife for the end of the month so I’ll be about 8.5 weeks but seems like a long time to wait! When is everyone else’s?

No symptoms for me just feel very bloated, probably jinxed myself and the nausea will hit hard next week.

Mine isn’t til the middle of May, I probably did it too soon but again… impatient šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

I registered the day I got my first pregnancy test, I felt I wanted to it official and wouldn't have a problem telling them if it didn't work out. Plus one less admin thing hanging over me that I need to do. My maternity unit, I know doesn't contact me early pregnancy. I filled in an online form and got a reply saying it would be better 8-10 weeks they'd contact me.

Last pregnancy it was after the time scale they said, I was getting a bit concerned about my 12 week scan as I had chosen not to have an early scan. But I think I had it at 14 weeks, which was fine....I know I have to be both patient and aware of when I should have blood tests and scans as a blood test was missed last time.

wonderlust07 · 03/04/2026 17:43

I’m not self referring just yet - when I had my mmc id had my booking appointment at 5/6 weeks which was so early. I’ll probably do it after the epu nurses call on Tuesday.

I’m also taking proceive first trimester.

OneSunnyFox · 03/04/2026 19:55

Hi There, looking for some advice. I tested positive LMP puts me at 5w1d, however since testing positive I’ve had no line progression and a digital yesterday put me at 1-2 weeks. No pain, no bleeding. I think this rules me out of an EPU visit.
Issue is I’m travelling to Japan in two weeks from UK, based on lines and digital this pregnancy feels like it’s going to end in miscarriage but I don’t want that to happen on my holiday or worse, on the plane. Is there anything I can do service wise? Or does anyone have any experience with this?

I know there is the option for an early scan, but I know from last time they prefer you are closer to 7weeks - but I’m slowly losing my marbles. This is my second pregnancy and apart from a spot of brown discharge and inability to sleep there are no parallels. With him my body reacted quite violently almost immediately after conception - this one I only have nausea if I walk really really fast - which may be unrelated 🤣

Apologies I’ve just come in here asking for help without really any other introduction.

BabyPerera · 03/04/2026 21:53

Congratulations on your lovely news šŸ’• I am myself 5w1d and due 3rd December at this point! This is my third child and I'm 37 so I'm feeling very blessed x

Lookingtogrowthefamily · 03/04/2026 21:54

Hi @OneSunnyFoxwere you tracking ovulation? Just thinking if it could be possible that you ovulated later in your cycle or implanted later, so maybe why the clearblue is showing 1-2 weeks. Is there progression 48hr between tests? I don’t have any experience with this sorry, just thinking out loud so to speak and wanted to reply to you.

Yeah an early they like around 7 weeks don’t they, which sounds around the same time as your trip to Japan. Saying that, in my first pregnancy I did go at 6+3 so it might be worth looking into that as an option still. Or are you able to arrange blood tests? Again no experience myself with this sorry, but from what I’ve read on these forums a blood test 48hrs apart is the most reliable x

NewAgeDawning · 03/04/2026 22:44

@OneSunnyFoxi think your best bet is taking hcg beta bloods 48 hours apart to see what is actually happening.

Ncl31 · 03/04/2026 23:39

I’ve been taking inessa pregnancy multivitamins, I only have a few days left. But I have a full box of boots own bump and beyond ones with my midwife in it last pregnancy recommended as they’re easier to tolerate

Sa11yCinnamon · 04/04/2026 02:17

@OneSunnyFox I’m a few days behind you, 4+5 based on LMP and still only 1-2 weeks on clearblue. I remember being the same with my son, and never got past 2-3 with him. I’m less sure about the line progression as I’ve not done those but I definitely wouldn’t think the worst based on cb.

Sa11yCinnamon · 04/04/2026 02:18

Also the insomnia is hitting HARD.

thehopelessoverthinker · 04/04/2026 05:01

Got my dye stealer this morning, 5 weeks today!

@OneSunnyFox Sorry things feel so uncertain, especially when it means you’re then worrying about your holiday too. What’s the latest date you could have a scan before you go?

@BabyPerera Welcome and congratulations!

I know I should be getting started on a prenatal but tried the Boots ones and they gave me migraines every day so am nervous about having the same effect with others. Currently taking folic acid, vitamin D and iron all separately and don’t know whether that’s enough or whether I should try and persevere with multivitamins, but they’re quite expensive to buy lots and see which don’t trigger migraines! šŸ˜‚

Alwaysgrowing · 04/04/2026 05:48

@thehopelessoverthinker I think those 3 separate are fine. I'd want to do everything to not trigger a migraine. @BabyPerera hi and welcome. Also my 3rd, how old are your kids? Mine are 3 and 7

OneSunnyFox · 04/04/2026 07:14

Thanks @Sa11yCinnamon this is incredibly useful.

Thanks @Lookingtogrowthefamily, @NewAgeDawning, @thehopelessoverthinker im going to look into bloods. Unfortunately, much like my first I know my dates.

I did move to 2-3 this morning on a digital. So that’s providing some relief. I suspect my body is not overreacting to this pregnancy like last time, but my mind hasn’t caught up.

thanks for the support!
I hope you guys are all feeling ok so far!

PhoenixSTL · 04/04/2026 07:17

My anxieties are starting to rise now šŸ˜” feel like my line progression has stopped progressing on the strip tests. Hanging on until tomorrow morning to do a digital CB test...

Ncl31 · 04/04/2026 09:14

@PhoenixSTL i feel you with the anxiety. I woke up this morning and it hit hard! My breasts don’t feel as sore as they have done and my mind has just spiralled! Counting down the days to get to 5 weeks on Tuesday šŸ¤žšŸ»
i hope you’re able to relax over the weekend

PhoenixSTL · 04/04/2026 09:24

@Ncl31 thanks! I think i looked at the test a little bit early. After another minute, it looked much more promising. And when I had a chance to put it with the other tests, I can see some progression. Think the anxiety is running high, as it was about this time with my June pregnancy when I just wasn't seeing any progression, and I stopped testing because it scared me šŸ˜…

We're off for a nice countryside walk with friends now, so that will be a good distraction for the day

Hope everyone is managing to have a lovely Easter

thehopelessoverthinker · 04/04/2026 10:29

@OneSunnyFox great news that you’ve progressed on a digital, and hopefully bloods can also give you some peace of mind.

@Ncl31 also completely agree on the anxiety, every morning I worry that I’m not nauseous any more and start second guessing, and then the nausea hits as soon as I start moving around and I regret having worried šŸ˜‚

@PhoenixSTL glad you felt more reassured when you looked back at the tests - countryside walk today sounds dreamy, have a lovely time!

PhoenixSTL · 05/04/2026 09:11

Feeling a little more relieved today. Took my last CB digital test, and it came up as 2-3 weeks. I don't think it passed beyond 1-2 weeks with my June pregnancy. And my strip test today showed really good progression.

So I'm going to step away from testing now, and will hopefully self refer to the midwives either today or tomorrow.

Aprahel87 · 05/04/2026 12:29

Hi,

Just had a positive test a few days ago, my first pregnancy 😁. My husband and I have been trying for over 3 years, went through 6 IVF cycles (3 with my own eggs, and three with donor eggs) and were planning on going on 7th when I unexpectedly fell pregnant naturally.

This is already a little miracle for us, but I am of course a bit anxious for everything, although it’s the first time I got this far. Does not feel real yet- no noticeable symptoms other than some very mild cramping (more like twinges) in my stomach over the last few days. The HCG over the counter digital test dated the pregnancy correctly based on my calculations so keeping everything crossed šŸ¤ž

Sa11yCinnamon · 05/04/2026 12:58

Oh wow, congratulations @Aprahel87 šŸ’•

Sa11yCinnamon · 05/04/2026 12:58

Oh wow, congratulations @Aprahel87 šŸ’•

Thanks so much 4 weeks, 5 days so far with 9th December date. I am really glad to join the group going through the same journey, hopefully support each other through the anxiety!

Lookingtogrowthefamily · 05/04/2026 13:14

Ahhh how incredible @Aprahel87congrats to you!
I’m still testing daily and comparing to the previous day, feeling so anxious and like the days are going so slow. I think it’s because I’m off work for the long weekend x

Aprahel87 · 05/04/2026 13:41

Exactly @Lookingtogrowthefamily . I found out last Thursday so too late to book blood test due to bank holiday, have one booked for Wednesday. Took three tests on the day because I couldn’t believe it and digital dating a few days later. Forced myself to stop now and wait for blood test but it is so hard!!

bluepurplegreen · 05/04/2026 15:54

Hey šŸ‘‹ . I’m due on 9 December. Feeling v new to this!
I did IVF too and this was my third transfer. First pregnancy. I tested once per day since 26 March until today, and I’m planning to stop now. Going to be a long few weeks until the scan.

NewAgeDawning · 05/04/2026 16:40

@wonderlust07 glad to hear youre relaxed now after your beta testing. Hope youve been able to put your feet up these last couple of days!

@Ncl31 @PhoenixSTL @wonderlust07 Thank you ladies for your multivitamin recommendations. I decided to stick with APE nutrition, which Id begun just before getting my BFP. @Alwaysgrowing thats crazy a midwife would advise against supplementing. Its v difficult to get everything we need from our meals alone, sadly. Thought it was common knowledge?

@Lookingtogrowthefamily Sorry for replying to you only now, but I wanted to reply to you all properly. Its difficult to do over my phone. I was never assigned a bereavement midwife. I kept waiting for someone to call, I chased but never heard so I have no idea how it all works. But I hear that yes they can provde a lot of support in future pregnancies. If you have one, please reach out they tend to be generally very good even if youre not very far along. They will definitely put you at ease and advise you on what you need to do.

I love listening to ante and postnatal podcasts for the same reason haha These are the ones I like: Birthing Instincts, Midwives cauldron, Fearlessly Fertile, Over 40 Fabulous and Pregnant and the Great Birth Rebellion. Hope these help you find something you like!

@BabyPerera welcome ! I love the number three, you are very blessed, congratulations
@thehopelessoverthinker thats great news on your dye stealer, What brand strips are you using? I have the One Step and they seem to take forever to get dark :s

I think folic acid and vit d are the most important. If you do manage to get everything you need from food, then there’s no need for a multivitamin. I know I can’t especially since I am still breastfeeding

@OneSunnyFox @PhoenixSTL thats excellent news your digitals have moved up / you can see progress on the strips Your HCG is rising and thats the important thing. Remember the numbers follow a wide range and are very individual.

@Aprahel87 @bluepurplegreen Welcome and congratulations,

News from me, I am 5 weeks today and got a 3+ weeks on the digital. I won’t do any more of those but will continue with the cheap ones just for fun.
